The manager is very rude. When I request assistance to my car with a heavy package, she refuse to offer any kind of Help. She than began to accuse me of being rude. I never raise my voice. I never called names. I never threw anything. I think she has mental health issues. I won't go there again. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

Ross is great in a big city, it's lackluster in Sonora. I've only bought bedding there. The clothes are outdated, sizes limited, I don't even look anymore. Good place for kid shoes on budget. read more

Pretty bummed and they lost out on a good sale today all because they don't feel the need to open the big fitting rooms. I don't have the time to sit and wait for two rooms ‍ read more

We were looking for some affordable and simple foot rests for our home. My husband suggested Ross as a possible option. We stopped in yesterday and manifested a slew of wondrous finds. From two hip faux sheepskin foot rests that fit it beautifully in our living room, to gourmet marshmallows, a punny mug, a charming sugar jar, and some other key home essentials -we were thrilled with our affordable purchases. This particular Ross isn't the most organized, but if you're looking for some fun unique and reasonably priced home decor or presents - definitely stop in here. You're sure to find at least 1 or 2 bargains that will assist with your holiday shopping list. Trust. read more

It is the year 2022 and things are still amuck. I like to visit Dodge Ridge to keep practicing my snowboarding. Along my drive back home, I stopped off at Schnoog's Cafe for my husband, he loves their drinks. I needed a little bit of standing time and decided to checkout Ross. Very popular store, I went on a Friday afternoon. Picked up two items for myself, a rashguard and a cute Hello Kitty top. Note: The main dressing rooms are closed. They have two small changing rooms located at the front of the store. I did have to wait my turn, maybe 5 minutes or so? read more

I shopped at Ross during Christmas of 2018 in a pinch. I knew this store's customers service was not their strong suit and they didn't fail to keep it going... Upon this visit. the lines were long at check out and only two checkers were available. The manager was busy at her check stand checking in returns and go backs; leaving her register and the other register non- operating. The manager was clearly not interested in opening up another check stand to help get all of us through quicker as she sheepishly looked over her glasses at us standing in the wait. The checker who rang my things up was pleasant and fully aware of the managers work ethic and s l o w pace. The men's section seems to always be picked over. I seem to miss the days when supposed shipments arrive for men's wear and shoes. The women's side seems full of a good selection of clothes and shoes as my wife always found something upon our visits. I gave it one star because of their inability to prefer customers above themselves. Sonora is a country town, not Los Angeles wear the multitudes shop. Next year, Amazon.com all the way! read more

Sonora's finest... With not much to do and in need of some wedding wardrobe adjustments, I went to the first store we drove by...knowing I was nowhere near any normal shopping. This store was kept very clean, unlike many of the other Ross' I've been too. Organized and I did not find things strewn about. The staff was friendly, even for 8:30PMish. They have an odd dressing room system. Although my sister had one item, they made her hang it on a rack, proceeded to look at it, then took it off and told her she could try it on. As I watched this go down, the employee must have saw my face. We chatted about how silly this process is, she agreed, even though she follows it every time. No blame or anger towards her, just sheer confusion and humor in it all. If you are on the hunt for flip flops and a sweater, because Sonora is hilly & colder, then this place should work just fine. Baller-on-a-budget prices and fairly good selection...for Sonora standards. Not my first choice normally, but they got the job done! read more

This store used to be cluttered and chaotic, as most Ross stores are. They have greatly reduced the amount of product that they display, which has made it look sparse and bare, but better than looking like a mad house. They have a wide variety of goods with a focus on clothing. Lots of clothes! They dress selection they've had recently has been superb! I've got so many cute dresses lately and I've been telling everyone about it. Everything else is average. Some shoes, some nice home goods, but I usually go for the clothes! read more

This is by far one of the best Ross Dress for Less stores I have been in. I'm not sure if it is the customers, the employees, or the management team but I always enjoy shopping here when I'm in Sonora. Don't believe the negative reviews you will wish your local Ross was just like this one. read more

I don't often shop at Ross, but wandered here the other day and was so impressed by the helpfulness of one of the employees. Rachael was extraordinarily knowledgeable in the available merchandise, and went out of her way to make sure the experience was enjoyable. Rachael went above with her assistance and pleasant demeanor. read more

My boyfriend and I went in to browse on 7/31/2019. Once we walked in, I headed towards the purses, while my boyfriend went to check out the shoes (you can sometimes find hidden gems if you look throughly btw). I noticed who I assumed to be loss prevention make their way over to my boyfriend in a hurry. I personally feel he was deliberately profiled from the get-go! Loss prevention proceeded to pretend to be looking at the shoes while my boyfriend was browsing. I don't know if they were expecting him to just snatch a pair of shoes and just run out in plain sight or something, but they definitely weren't trying to be inconspicuous about it. I decided to walk over to where my boyfriend was to tell him to I was ready to leave because I was becoming uncomfortable with the whole situation. Loss prevention turned around to say "hello" to me and still continued to pretend he was looking at the shoes. I had a basket with a couple of items in it so I rushed my boyfriend over to the register to pay for my things and go. All in all, the customer service was trash. The dressing rooms in the middle of the store are tacky. Nobody wants to steal your stuff, Ross. I promise! read more

This place has the worst customer service and an extremely rude non-professional management team led by Debbie - a condescending manager who has absolutely no regard for the feelings of her customers. Might I suggest teaching a personal relations class to all of Ross employees, especially managers who are responsible for all that happens in their stores. It would improve their sales dramatically. And hey, if you're just naturally horrible at working and dealing with people, like Debbie, then making your living by working directly with the public is the worst thing you can do for yourself and the customers who have to come to in contact with you. The end. read more

Today was the first time I went to this store in over 10 years. It made me remember why I'd stopped shopping there. The store is A MESS. Messy racks, racks haphazardly shoved into the middle of aisles, full of clothing half-hanging on the hangers, and a lot piled on the dirty floor. Only the homewares sections showed some semblance of organization. When we finally did manage to find something to try on, we found the dressing rooms padlocked shut. An inquiry with a bored looking sales associate directed us to a pair of free-standing dressing rooms parked, much like portable outhouses, in front of the registers. There were only 2, so the line to use them, was long. We waited 25 minutes for one to free up. WARNING: I'm fairly sure certain Ross has cameras monitoring the customers inside the dressing rooms. To finish it off, you are treated to a series of camera flashes in the face on your way out the door after you've made your purchase. Newsflash, Sonora Ross. No one wants to steal your crappy, discount rack $12 shirts. This is the place people go when they don't have time to go somewhere that isn't awful. A disgusting experience all around. Don't shop here. read more

I'm so disgusted with Ross's Policy! I would give this a MINUS 10 if I could. Yesterday was Tuesday, I went in and bought a pair of summer pajama's for 15.99. It was minus 1.60 yesterday because of the "Tuesday Club" 10% discount. "Tuesday Club is for Seniors. I bought the wrong size (foolish me) . I told them back today(Wednesday) and explained I needed a larger size. The gal at the counter said to go back and get the correct size, which I did. When I went back to the counter to exchange them, the gal charged me TODAY"S price whch was the 10% MORE than I paid yesterday. I ended up paying an additional 1.73 for the pajama's when ALL I wanted to do was an EVEN exchange for. Ross's Policy was that since I didn't exchange on the same day, which I received a 10% discount on, I had to pay the full price, which I did....foolish me. I should have just done a return. After stewing over this, I have decided that I will RETURN the pajama's for a full refund. It's not a matter of the 1.73 cents, it's simply a matter of POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS with this policy they have in place. So, for all of you, out there who belong to the Tuesday Club, you'd better take it back the same day.Better yet, you might consider what I'm going to do, NEVER shop in this store again. I've shopped there since it opened and they just lost a customer. This isn't the only store in Sonora,Ca. or any other town or city. I'm so unhappy with ROSS!!! read more
