We were in downtown and came across this store. They have very cute things. Some are a little pricey but others reasonably priced. You can definitely find something. Sadly, this place is not anything close to the wonderful place it once was when the Whitmans owned it. Back then, it was like a taste of Anthropologie in our little town and I shopped here religiously. Now? Well, the other reviews about the owners are 100% correct. I called Runway Xchange to check if they take lightly used clothing. I had 6 large bags of clothing, They said yes....our current thrift store wouldn't take more than 2 small bags of clothing. They do Consignments, but I just wanted to donate to their operations. Everyone was pleasant and had a great experience. They have parking across the street in the back of their store. Wish the owner would wear her mask over her nose pls. Loved this store and have been consigning here for years but the new owner doesn't seem to know much about fashion or labels or designers etc. Doesn't take my good stuff but rather my cheaper frumpier items. The window mannequins are unfortunately dressed in outifts no younger or older person would wear. She prices TJ maxx used shirts for more than you can buy them new. Its also very bright in there with a million lights. Not a pleasant environment with yucky music played too. Also doesn't post anything on Instagram like the old owner did. This was helpful to see outfits and new items especially with Covid!! Please help market our clothes so we can all make a profit. I don't think I will consign here anymore unless she can educate herself on clothing more so. Husband is very nice but we need this store to succeed. read more

Great store for finding awesome upscale clothes for 1/4-1/2 the price of new clothes. They put out clothes everyday and have lots of styles to choose from! Owners are very helpful & friendly! read more

Most horrendous experience I've ever had shopping. The owner is extremely racist- I'm white and went to look upstairs for a while to which she had no issue until my POC friends decided to go upstairs. She followed them and stood with her arms crossed angrily staring at them from less than a few feet away for the whole time they were looking at clothing and even followed a few feet behind us invading our space until we left the store. AND this psychopath was BLASTING Fox News in the store. As a shop owner she should know ALL customers deserve respect, but based on this interaction she clearly doesn't want any people of color in her store. Furthermore, all of the clothing is overpriced and there's almost no real vintage clothing. She is robbing her customer by selling used target (and other basic current brands) brand clothing for twice to three times the price. PLEASE DON'T let this bigoted woman swindle you-there are a bunch of thrift stores up the street that are much better like "Pine Tree Peddlers" or "Antique Etcetera" read more

I love this store. It has such a variety of clothing for all ages and they have sizes for all. I went in the store after trying to find parking (though it is difficult in downtown Sonora). I went through the back entrance and saw many racks of clothing and lots of cute shoes. I have been going here often now and am now a consigner for the store and they are very fair in what they take. This store has hit rock bottom. Used to be so near and dear to my heart, as I worked there years ago, but the new owners are horrific. Incredibly rude, not helpful, and have twice now put my clothes on my sisters account instead of my own. She was offended when I brought in several bags of clothes because she claimed there is a 30 item limit, which is not posted anywhere for me to see. I apologized, to which she said I should have done more research. (I missed where this was my problem but brushed her rude comment aside). She then looked at my clothes which were all clean and new, high-end brands like Free People and Johnny Was, and started to treat me differently, and took almost everything. Her "rule" of a limit went out the window. That's was nice, however she still refused some great quality high-end items because she didn't know the brands... I'm talking Michael Stars and Eileen Fisher. Clothing I know from working there would sell. I sold these items on Poshmark the next day, so it was her loss. I will no longer be consigning here which is such a bummer because the location is excellent for sales, but I would rather support a business with friendly owners that make the experience pleasant, than make a little money. **Also the owners are not Covid-concerned at all, which is fine, to each their own opinion, but an older very uncomfortable customer asked the owner politely if she would properly wear her mask, and the owner was rude and did not oblige. Came in here with my mother and very disappointment how the store is operated. My mother found a vintage dress with a matching jacket. When she went up to the cashier to purchase the outfit.The staff told her that that jacket and dress was sold separately which didn't make sense because obviously they went together. The clerk Lizzy was non-sensitive and stated that there was nothing she can do about it, and that the boss made all the prices. The prices in the store are ridiculous it's a thrift store not a high-end retail store. read more

.... Love this store, its by far the best local consignment store for shopping at and also for cleaning out your own closet at as well. They pick through things of corse to keep everything they're selling nice and are fare about what you get in store credit when something of yours has sold. They always seem to have a great flow of items in and out of the store and things are always coming in new and older things are being marked down too- great name brand purses wallets, jeans, skirts, tops and high end shoes. I can count on getting comments like..."where did you get that necklace"...your outfit is so cute...where did you get it?!...I look down to see what I have on...and 9 times out of 10 it is from Runway Xchange!
