There's been no basic appreciation, no thanks, and no sense that donations are welcome. Instead, the only responses I've gotten from staff have been things like "don't walk into the donation area," "what are you donating," or "we don't take that" -- even when the item is clearly listed as accepted on their website. The overall attitude toward people trying to donate is rude and dismissive. I won't be bringing anything else here and will be finding another local charity that actually values donations and treats donors with respect.

We had the whole store to ourselves when we walked in later on a Monday night. Both of the employees in there were helpful and assisted us with questions on the deals and for proper sizing. They had really good deals with 60% off the lowest ticketed price on a lot of the women's clothing and a lot of it was already discounted at least once. I also found that even though it was a factory store, a lot of the items were still high quality - nice soft fabric, no defects, and the items fit well and weren't odd leftovers. Some of the sizing was a bit limited but I managed to find a great pair of super soft leggings on sale. My boyfriend stocked up on the tees they had available in multiple colors and cuts.

I found a…read moresuper great kid's dress on clearance and when I went to check out the woman at the counter looked at the dress, looked at the price, and looked at me and said "um... I need to go check to see if this is the right price." Implying that I switched the tags!!! She walked up to the manager, they picked at the tag and talked for a minute. Then they looked it up on the computer and found that it was a return from the online store. This whole time I'm seething - first of all, I came during my lunch break to shop here because I love the stuff they have and every once in a while, I can find a great item like this on clearance. That's what Marshalls is all about! I am a person of color and based on the way I was treated at this store today, I can tell you right now there is prejudice and racism here and it will result in a really uncomfortable check-out experience when the "deal is too good." She came back and explained that it was an online order and sometimes they never know about the price.... never once apologizing for making me feel like a thief. The right thing to do when someone is checking out with a great item on clearance is "wow! what a great find! congrats!" NOT "um.. let me make sure this is the right price because we think you look like a thief and this should cost more." I am boycotting this store and taking my business to Target, Old Navy, or Nordstrom Rack in the same complex. The cashier was a woman of caucasian descent, older (maybe 60-75 years old), short stature, and with glasses. She was cashier #1 today at noon on September 29, 2026. If Marshall wants to give her some sensitive training, anti-racism training, or general re-training - that would be great for the very large community of people of color who shop here. Thanks.

The old lady that was running the register stared at me almost the entire time as I tried on shoes. It was a little unsettling. Not a dealbreaker though. She also started to come behind me and try to peer at my phone midway through the experience. I was reading about the shoes I was trying on. When she saw my screen she told me to ask her any questions if I had any, but when I did she became marginally irritated. I asked her, "What model shoe is this?" To which she replied she didn't know and that she was with a customer already. Okay, why did you tell me to ask you if I had questions then? Also, the customer in question had paid before I walked in, and had been shooting the breeze with the clerk about his kids. When I asked to try on a different color she was happy to grab them, but when I tried on the first set again she remarked, "You didn't like those, remember? That's why you asked for the other color." I told her I was just taking my time, but she didn't seem thrilled, and went back to staring at me. At some point I mentioned that these boots, made by Redback, only come in whole size lengths, with the half sizes denoting a change in width, not length. She insisted I get the half size up for "longer length" anyway, with no clue what I was talking about. All in all, I chalk it up to a difference in generations. She was crabby, yes, but she is old. She tried to constantly engage and violate my screen privacy, yes, but she didn't come from a generation that drew those boundaries. In the end, the prices are totally fair and that's what really counts. Although I will add that they had a ton of poly blended shirts, but I was really hoping they would have some nice cotton twill or poplin, which seems odd given the elevated aesthetic they are going for.
