The aisles are huge, though. They could fit a lot more product in there with better spacing, but maybe they like to be comfy. They are VERY customer service oriented and every one of the staff I spoke to was fantastic. Now, this may seem like an odd thing for me to review (and it probably is), but inside the store, nestled in nearly the center of the store and taking up less than 5% of the total store space is something really special and unique to this store. That is a hot sauce gallery. It is stocked by a company called Burn Your Tongue or alternately Simply Spicy Stuff and what is there runs the entire gamut from salsa to fruity sauces from mild to the wilder side of extracts. Though the total bottle count is not very high, the entire gamut is covered, which is a commendable feat. Kudos to both Quilted Bear for doing this (maybe trying to have something for the guys?) and to BYT, who has chosen well with the sauce selection. Now, this is not to say it's perfect. Indeed, I could have replaced the entire selection with different bottles, but it was nice to see some past favorites in there, along with some new goodies of interest. Pricing is fair, very fair, in fact, to the point where you will have some difficulty finding a better deal online at a per bottle price. In addition to clothes and shoes, we also purchased kitchen, home goods, bedding, bath, pet items, games, and seasonal options. They have an Amazon return station also that we've used a few times as an alternate to the UPS Store across the street. I found some items I wanted that I tried to purchase online, but would have had to wait 4-10 days for them to get it ready for in-store pickup. So I visited in person, and found everything I was looking for the same day. I also picked up a 70% off clearance item that I wouldn't otherwise have found online. They reworked the checkout from having several registers in their separate lines on both sides of the store, to a single queue line weaving through last minute displays to a bank of multiple registers in a line. You wait to be called to the next available register so no one can slip in front you. There was only one register open when I was there, and the staff was very friendly and helpful with my purchase. On this day at Station Park "Don't Call Us a Mall" mall -- a shopping mecca teeming with women's clothing and discount clothing stores -- my wife only bought clothes at Maurices. I've spent many-an-hour in many-a-women's clothing stores, burning time on my cell phone as my wife files through many-a-rack of clothes. I can say Maurices one of the deeper, well-stocked stores I've seen. And this Station Park location is FILLED with customers on a lazy Sunday afternoon where other nearby clothing stores are ghost towns. What will those passionate about women's fashions find at Maurices? Tops of all types for both casual and fancy occasions, denim ranging from shorts to jeans to jean jackets, outdoor wear, sleepwear, "intimates", scarves, bags, socks, makeup, sunglasses, necklaces, rings, bracelets, perfumes and... Well, let's just say everything a fashionista--from skinny to plus-sized--could possibly want. My wife spent an hour in there. Really, the "belle of the ball" is the "Going, Going, Gone" clearance section in the back left corner. This isn't your usual picked-over, mish-mash, 3/4 empty clearance area. A lot of stuff, on REAL clearance prices. How do I know this? My wife left with two jackets and a top for $28 and saved $90. After a mix up with the payment method, I called customer service, who then assured me that the entire $40 late fee had been waived and I was left with a balance of $0 after paying off my card. Imagine my surprise when I opened a subsequent statement and there was a balance for the late fee and late fees for the late fee! What??? So I called CS again who at first told me there was nothing they could do, but then later in the call told me they could waive only $15 of the $31 fee. I said fine, I would like to pay that off now. Oh wait, they said, it is a $9 fee to pay it over the phone. Hold my beer while I pay it online I said. So I pay the new fee online, but the credit won't show for three days, and I tell them to cancel my card. She says she cancelled it but I see no confirmation of that in the account and she refuses to send me a confirmation email. Protocol, she says, is I have to just believe her and the confirmation will be coming by snail mail in 7-10 days. Will this headache ever end??? Seriously. Save yourselves!!! This has been a PSA.
