I went there today for the first time in a long time. I ordered a carne asada burrito to go at 10:14 according to my receipt. I sat there in the little lobby area near the register waiting for my food. I'm watching as many folks are receiving their food and I'm still waiting. I finally decided to inquire about my order and it was 11:07 at this time. I was told that they never received my ticket in the back?? She said they will make it now. I said forget it and asked for my refund. They gave me my refund and I left. My complaint is obviously very poor customer service. I was sitting there facing the cashier the whole time. Let me define this for my non Spanish speaking people. A "Chile Relleno" is a cheese stuffed Anaheim or Poblano pepper, lightly fried with an egg batter. Tonight was the first and last time I will eat at Rosies in calimesa. I ordered chicken tacos with flour tortillas. My wife ordered taquitos and when my wife got home with the food my chicken tacos were on corn tortillas and she had a chile rellano. Nice quality service. My tacos were bland and the jack n the box tacos are even better than the ones I got. My wife didn't mind her food but it was still wrong. We only live about 5 min away from the restaurant but didn't want to waste the time to go back. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Look for other mexican food restaurants in the area. The food is ok. The bad is that the customer service is really bad and for what you get, the price is too much. I have no problem paying for good food but I do have a problem being overcharged for less than subpar food. I got the chile rellenos plate and it was seriously just a joke. I'm tired of ordering food and coming home for an item to be missing and also being charged for it. Pretty run of the mill; no thrills here. Basic Mexican menu, however sometimes that's exactly what you need. I ordered two simple hard shell ground beef tacos, they were good and as expected. I used to come here all the time when I lived in Yucaipa and it was always amazing, and the service was the best. Not today, I call to place an order and it seemed like it went smooth, I order salsa with my meal and ask if it was enough for 4 ppl, she said yes. it said on the online menu it was 32oz of salsa for 6.99. We get there get our food and it's the smallest thing of salsa, I mention that we had ordered the 32oz one and she said it's 11.00, I show her that the online price said 6.99 for the 32oz, she said she didn't even know they had an online menu, (like how stupid can you be?) so she didn't give two craps about anything, she gave me the 32oz salsa took back the smaller salsa and refused to refund us. We also ordered jalapeños in the burritos, not one jalapeño. The bean and cheese burrito had no cheese at all. This place is literally a joke. This fat lazy woman should not be working here, she was just so rude and not helpful. All the food was cold and not good. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Go to Taco Bell. Rosie's is my go to place for burritos in Calimesa. I've been coming here since I was a child and I have always loved the tortillas. I would stop coming here if their tortillas ever changed. Prices are right. They are awesome! Their beans and rice are excellent. I love the guacamole sauce, however, I suggest they add FRESH guacamole to the menu as well. First off I was on the phone ordering with some young man that acted like I was speaking a foreign language when I asked for two chile relleno burritos, after I'm finished with my WHOLE order now some lady takes over and she goes "um yes what's your order" so I replied with do I need to repeat myself from the beginning? She said I have you down for two Chile verdes à la carte and a bean and cheese burrito. Which was not at all what i had ordered, I re ordered with her now that the order is correct, we arrive to pick up and the young man that was working literally nodded his head when we walked up to the counter so we asked him "what does that mean" and he said "oh how can I help you?" Ate here for the second time today. My girlfriend had a bean, rice & cheese burrito and I had the chilie verde burito. Both had very fresh tortillas and were filled with quality ingredients. I asked the person that took our order which meat he recommended and he without pausing said - "chile verde" and he did not steer me wrong.
