Pasta Carbonara

At the door they told me it would be a longer wait because the kitchen was backed up. We got sat in 15 minutes and food was so fast! Chicken in the pasta had no seasoning but besides that everything was fabulous. The bread was amazing. Service was phenomenal. We'll be back!

Decided to try a new restaurant while my sister was in town and we were pretty much blown away from this restaurant. It was one of those "slow burn" experiences where at the beginning, it was kinda meh but the longer you are there, it gets better. The ambiance was quite simple, white cloth over the tables; very family style classic Italian restaurant. Clean and versatile enough for small tables and large parties. My sister and I had on regular clothes and didn't feel out of place. We started with the cheesy garlic bread, delicious. You can tell it is made from scratch. i grabbed a sangria which was fruity and refreshing. We also both got two different pastas, I got the black pepper fettuccine and she got a special which was a tuna steak pasta. Both portions were huge and you can upgrade to a Caesar salad for $2. What we didn't know that each entree came with a FULL SIZE loaf of bread! I felt like it was an incredible portion for the price. Around $26. You can also upgrade any pasta to family style for an additional $3 if you really want to save some money. I didn't even finish my meal except for a few bites and still had pretty much two full meals to take home. We finished up with the mud pie which was like a cookies and cream pie with hot fudge, nuts and whipped cream. Very delicious and sweet...also huge and shareable. Overall, this was a very pleasant surprise for us and I will be back soon!

Food was good. Corn chowder was 9/10. I think it was a 10, but my lady has the final say. Service was good. Had one waitress, but it was early and she was handling business. Chicken Fettuccine is 7/10 Chicken Parm 7/10 I would go again. The bread was very good. That and the Chowder were best things we ate

Known as "Straccitella Soup" this is a great way to start any dinner.

During the recent pandemic and unfortunate lockdown in the state of Michigan, there were many classic and family run restaurants that went under. Some of these renown establishments had been in business for well over a century, but couldn't make it in the end. Thankfully, Rose's implemented a drive-through window operation, which really helped them to weather the storm. I received a phone call from long-time friend Jeremy, who wanted to meet up for dinner. We decided to meet at Rose's, since we both haven't had any Italian food in a very long time and we were both glad we did. I had been craving freshly cooked pasta for a while, and this was a great opportunity to satisfy it. To start any meal at an Italian restaurant you need freshly baked bread, and a cup of soup. The bread is so delicious, you have to be careful not to eat too much of it before you're main entrée is served. I decided to go with Straccitella soup, and it really woke my taste buds up and they were begging for more. If you have never tried it before, give your palate a treat. I decided to go with "Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp." This has been one my favorite entrées since I was child, and I have to admit that I really love the fettuccini that Rose's serves, as it's truly homemade. Conversely, a few other Italian themed places I have visited around Metro Detroit, say they order their pasta already pre-manufactured and it's delivered frozen, which IMHO reduces the quality and taste. Thankfully, the interior hasn't changed since the pandemic, and many people were having a fun time at the bar. With that being said, our server Kate did a magnificent, first-rate job attending to our needs and those around us. I wish more restaurants could find experienced waitstaff as good as she was. So if you want to enjoy some delicious Italian food that is way above what you receive at places like Olive Garden, and other similar Italian based eateries in Metro Detroit, then visit Rose's in Canton, you'll love it.

Service and food were great. We love that you can split a meal since we were not super hungry today. So we split Chicken Parm. We got a plate with veg, chicken and pasta. Soup or salad as well. More than enough.

Great menu selection. Hearty pastas. Nice environment. Banquet rooms are nice too. Excellent clam chowder soup! And you will enjoy a loaf of warm bread with some butter.

The food was excellent and the service was very attentive and friendly. The place reminds me of being back in the kitchen of an Italian grandma, who was cooking up authentic food from scratch. We will be back!

Absolutely love Rose's. Best fettuccini alfredo I've ever had. I'm constantly trying to recreate it but nothing comes close. It's always hard to choose between soup and salad because the salad is always so fresh with great ranch but the stracciatella is soo good. Im always so full after eating here but will always make room for the delicious cannolis. Its a family run business that always has friendly staff and is a great environment for any celebration dinner.

It was okay Italian food, not the best but I've also had worse. The service was super slow and the place was dead for a Sunday night!

Parking is easy and the restaurant appears clean. One negative comment- so we made a reservation for 15, and we had one extra child, bringing us to 16. The host (older lady with shoulder length reddish brown hair), made it exceptionally clear she was annoyed and continued to quote their policy of "banquet menu" once our party got to 16. I understand, it was an accident, and tbh didn't require us to be moved, just an extra chair. It put a sour taste in my mouth, as I was guest of honor visiting from out of town; you made us feel unwelcome the moment we walked in. As a host, you shouldn't be the one representing the restaurant. If you're upset, go home. Mind you, this is a Tuesday evening at dinner time (the restaurant wasn't busy and there was NO wait). Kudos to the wait staff and chefs, all our food came out at once, no send backs- I know for large parties it can get crazy, you all did amazing. I hope management can use this as a teaching opportunity to the host, as I'll be sure NOT to return to this location the next time I'm in town due to this experience at your establishment.

I was eager to avoid the kitchen and had always wanted to try the restaurant, so I was game. We were able to get a reservation immediately and headed on over. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server. We started our meal with the grilled calamari - a nice change from the typical fried that is usually served in restaurants. It was light and filling, and accompanied by some delicious bread and olive oil with balsamic to dip. For my main course, I chose the orrechiette pasta. The portion was gargantuan - I can have it for at least 3 meals - and the flavors were so balanced and well-composed. Our server did a good job of making sure we had our food promptly and that plates were cleared out as we finished each course. She was friendly as well. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to introducing friends and family to the restaurant soon!

The first was delivery and it arrived perfectly prepared and exactly as ordered. I went with the seafood pasta and my family split an order or arancini. Everything was excellent. A few weeks later I came back through for dinner with some friends and we landed on the heated patio. It was cozy and comfortable. We split the bruschetta with prosciutto, goat cheese, and fig spread. Very good! For my entree I went with the asiago baci, little purses of an asiago and ricotta stuffed pasta tossed in a garlic cream sauce with tomatoes and asparagus. So so good! And a nice sized portion as well. For dessert we split a slice of the lemon torte. Light and delicious. The perfect end to the meal. The meatballs in the spaghetti dish were delicious. Flavorful and not dried out. The sauce tasted like it had been cooked with love. I also liked the short rib. The sauce had been elevated with some wine, and the meat was tender and rich. The accompanying potatoes were so creamy. I would order both dishes again. We each got a dessert. My husband got the tiramisu and I got the chocolate cake. I guess the tiramisu was just ok. I loved the chocolate cake. On our second visit, we tried the Rigatoni Caprino and the Chicken Marsala Florentine. Of the two, we liked the rigatoni better. It had that super red sauce on it. The sausage was on point, and the goat cheese complimented the rest of the dish so well. The marsala was good, though my husband I agreed we had both had better. The sauce just lacked something. My husband wasn't that impressed with the Crème Brûlée cheesecake, and wouldn't order it again.
