I genuinely believed I had done my due diligence, and I regret trusting them…read more This firm has extremely predatory billing practices. I was repeatedly charged for vague "weekly" and even "daily" meetings with no explanation of what was discussed or why they were necessary. Many invoice entries lacked sufficient detail to verify the legitimacy of the charges. When my retainer was finally returned, it was nearly half of what I was owed. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was suddenly told there were "third-party charges" -- something that was never clearly disclosed beforehand. To make matters worse, their invoices state that you have only two days to dispute charges, yet the invoices themselves were inaccurate and incomplete, making it nearly impossible to identify issues within that timeframe. After I formally notified the firm that I was terminating their representation, they continued billing me for internal emails and communications -- including emails about transferring the case to my new attorney, which my new attorney was already handling. Those post-termination communications totaled over $600, billed after they were no longer my attorneys. The lack of transparency, shifting explanations, and billing after termination are deeply concerning. I would strongly caution anyone considering this firm to review their invoices carefully and be very clear about billing expectations upfront.

From the moment I reached out, I felt understood and supported, thanks in large part to Elda Garcia, whose calm, reassuring presence helped me breathe again. Katie Morgan and Lauren Whistler moved quickly to respond, and Jonathan Roeder stepped in for the pretrial hearing with confidence and care. Their professionalism and genuine concern gave me real confidence when I needed it most. Communication stayed clear and timely throughout, and I never felt left in the dark. Walking into court, I did so with a sense of courage because I knew I was in capable hands. The emergency order was quashed, and I regained my legal decision-making and parenting time rights. I would gladly turn to The Valley Law Group again and highly recommend them to anyone in the Valley who needs thoughtful, tenacious legal support. Their client-first approach - listening, strategic advocacy, and unwavering dedication - truly makes a difference.

In fact, the opposite is true, that I did not have to speak with police. Mike explained my rights. In my emotional state, I needed the clear details that he gave me about how to protect rights and invoke my right to remain silent if questioned by the police. Mike explained and simplified the details. With one phone call, he alleviated the fears I was experiencing. Mike is an honest attorney. He gave me a clear evaluation of the situation. If I need his services, which he told me I did not need at the time (an honest attorney!), I will call Mike Munoz. I trust him to protect my life. Thank you, Mike! You do not know how much your comments mean to me! The best attorney ever with lucid explanations!

I am unaware of the services since I still have yet to receive any…read more Yesterday morning I reached out to get a phone consultation with him & was told I'd get him at 4p. By 4:20 I'd yet to hear anything so I called & was told he was running behind on his previous phone call & was understanding. 4:45 hit & I was not nearly as understanding bc my thoughts are "I'm gonna let someone have my back in court that won't have my back for a phone consultation??" I then called again & was told (by the person that answers the phone) that she texted him to remind him of the 4:30 appointment. 4:30?!?!? I was told 4. She then told me he's still on the phone & I expressed to her that I was very irritated because I waited around my phone for something that was scheduled. Hello! I schedule calls & appointments too, the difference is I show up to mine. I decided that I did not want to hire someone that is unorganized with their call system because who knows where all of my court docs will go - could be scattered in several folders. To end the story I was never called at all yesterday & when I called today he was in court & I was told that it's "busy season". I was then told today (the day after not having my appointment followed through with) that I was being rude with expressing how frustrated I was. I wasn't rude, I wasn't vulgar - I was honest. Munoz defended himself saying was a "nice guy" & per reviews I see that, but I was not treated well by him. No apology for missing my consultation & no apology when I cracked a joke saying "you're the most difficult guy to get in contact with" rather he had a condescending attitude stating "yeah, we're a really busy attorneys office". Seems rather prideful to me with no apology whatsoever. Set people up with expectations because we also have a life outside of yours.

I received a couple dui's in Arizona back then and finally Johnathan told me exactly what I had to do. I took notes on his advice and did what he told me and I've NEVER been so happy. It's such a huge relief for me. I can move on to better things, finally, in my life. At the end of our phone call I asked him if I owed any money or anything I could do he said he'd appreciate if I left a good review on yelp. That's it! Really?!? That's it? Here I am today thanking you sir. You and your team deserve it! Thank you very much again. Have a great day. Sincerely, Jesse Duray

I recently received an open container ticket which I later found to be a criminal offense! not wanting that on my record I fronted Lopez $4,000 to reduce to a traffic ticket or go away. everything was great, until it wasn't. on the morning of my day in court "attorney Derek" shoves paperwork for me to plead guilty to the open container charge with a $750 fine- exactly. what I could have walked in myself and received. Zero effort on their part produced zero results for me. my efforts to contact to negotiate at least a partial refund have been ignored to this point. if at any point prior to the final moments before court they had informed me of my situation I would have had time to make clear decision, they did not. I strongly suggest anyone looking for legit legal counsel look. to someone else. Dennis Summers

I've never been in trouble with the law in my life, paid them…read more$5K+ up front only to get what I would have gotten if I didn't get a lawyer in the 1st place. I promised a quick recovery of my property, but instead I was stalled for several months only to find the court order I waited for was worthless and had to leave 80% of my property behind as the process would have taken many trips. Then I was told to meet in court to take a plea bargain without even going over the evidence. When I finally met my lawyer I was given weakest evidence as to why I should. I was never given any direct information as what the prosecution was saying so I could respond. However I did get backhanded comments like, "it's illegal to record someone without their knowledge " and "you can't destroy someone's property even if you gave it to them." At the time he said this I was suffering from PTSD from the event and didn't catch on so I will respond here: 1. ALL video evidence, as I said in the beginning, was taken from big white video cameras in plain sight (2 on the carport, one on the patio, and 1 over the front door) ALL authorized by the "victim" who at one point had access to them through the MFR app. Also, unbeknownst to me, this "self made victim" and her son had hacked my computers, phone from very early on in our relationship, and sent someone to hack my WIFI at my new home. They were able to get into my phone through my computer and tablet that they kept in her TS son's room. Evidence, as I mentioned was screenshot on my phone's security logs and on scans from apps looking for devices on my local network. They hacked my FB account and added themselves as friends and had others spying on my account despite many attempts to block them. I shutter to think what has been done in my name on FB as I haven't seen it in 6 months as closing the account was impossible since they kept logging in to it and changing settings. Furthermore I agreed to he lr having my location through findmy only to be harassed if my course changed on the way home or my location wasn't available. 2. The photograph of her doing an illegal activities that she tried to frame me with was done while she was posing for my camera and she even posed for that. This was taken because she was going to frame me 3 weeks earlier because I was too sick to attend Thanksgiving dinner and despite having been gaslight and given the silent treatment for over 1 week. Fearing she'll do it again I took the picture hoping the next time she tried to frame me it would stop her, but it didn't because I already said I was leaving so she couldn't let me leave without destroying my life. 3. The broken keepsakes (among many other items) were found in the trash (3rd time) and technically not hers, but after 22 months of violence and emotional abuse from a covert narcissist one finds themselves lashing out: she wasn't even there when I did it. But never mind the broken mirror amongst all the other things she did and BTW where's that "it doesn't pertain to that evening it can't be used?" I had many texts of her abuse. Nevertheless, knowing that the lawyer was not going to fight for me and not wanting to deal with the psycho who set me up, having no energy to fight and a long road ahead of resplacing what I lost and restaring my life, I took the deal. Later I found that I was lied to about so much that I honestly think my lawyer (loose term) didn't know the law. He made promises that didn't happen in a timely manner or didn't pan out which left me freaking out and desperate. His team was the worst as well. They stopped replying to my texts, but when they needed something from me, despite living in my vehicle with little sleep and no access to anything they got a little pushy. However when I needed answers I had to schedule an appointment. At 60yrs with excellent credit, no criminal record, not even a ticket, and a honest, genuinely kind and caring person I can't believe that coming up against a truly evil person with a violent and negligent past could stage such a distorted diatribe and get away with it even when having paid a high premium for a lawyer. Now I have completed the orders, but I have now respect for the legal system or this firm. PLEASE DON'T USE THEM!
