All of his good reviews on other sites are for his boob jobs and paints the picture of an entirely different person, which is a bit disturbing. Never once did the doctor touch the injured wrist, xray it, send me off for tests, or even ask me to demonstrate the motion in which I believe caused the injury. I requested a XS wrist brace (I'm 5'1). He said that the braces were not sized and then sold me a size L. When I pointed out that it said the word, "Large" on the brace, the doctor ignored me. I can not praise him and his staff more. I had a very difficult case. I had ruptured implants, severe encapsulation and needed a reduction. My breasts were extreme and I had been discouraged from having a reduction 20 years ago and encouraged to just add implants and a lift. First thing, Jeannie Watson was a master at working with my insurance to get the entire procedure covered 100%. The surgery was approved but Dr. Simpson felt it best to do the surgery in 2 parts, rather than all at once. Jeannie made sure that the coverage was still in place, in spite of it being a more complicated surgery. I had 2 surgeries in the past 6 weeks. The first was the removal of the implants and encapsulations. Both implants were ruptured, and Dr. Simpson got all of the silicone as well as all of the encapsulations and scar tissue. The surgery went extremely well and I had a very non-eventful recovery. I had almost no pain and was up and around very quickly. The second surgery, which took place last week, also went extremely well. I had very difficult breasts to reduce and they were a challenge. My outcome was absolutely fantastic. For the first time in my entire life I have attractive, normal looking breasts. I had a small issue with a clogging of my drain the night after the surgery. Dr. Simpson's Fellow, Dr. Nick Kunda, was on call and encouraged me to come into the emergency room to check and make sure that everything was fine. This was at midnight on a Friday night, but in spite of this, he arranged for me to be admitted to the ER promptly and was there waiting for me when I arrived. Then I went to the front desk to check out, and they wanted to bill me, even though I had already paid at the first appointment. They argued that this second appointment was a new examination. I contended that it was a follow-up to fix an error that had been made the first time and that I should not be charged, since it was not MY error. They argued that I could've developed the astigmatism in the short period between the two appointments, but said they would see what they could do. Shortly after, I received a bill in the mail--so much for seeing what they could do--and when I called to contest it, they again argued that the second appointment was a new examination. What a crock! When I took the new prescription to the glasses place and told them the story, they were as aghast as I. They said that patients regularly need new prescriptions tweaked and that they have NEVER heard of an eye doctor charging for such an appointment. Lucky me--I'm the first. I will not be returning to Dr. Galst. Everyone sometimes misses things; that I can live with. I can also live with the inconvenience of having to go in for two appointments and with the pain of having to have my brand new glasses sent out to be corrected to match the new prescription.
