Once I was finally seen, Dr. Sarnoff rushed through my exam. I guess to be expected as she was at least 2 1/2 hours behind. I have a history that was important for her to know since she was seeing me for the first time, and I didn't feel heard at all. The next time I went in I had asked about some blemishes on my face and was given a brief consultation to have them taken care of. I made an appointment and gave a $500 deposit in cash. After thinking about it for a week or so I called and said I had changed my mind and would like my deposit back. It took over 2 months and many nasty phone calls from Nikki to FINALLY get my money back. It was one excuse and lie after another. From then on I was extremely uncomfortable any time I had to call the office because I was spoken to rudely and hung up on while I was saying goodbye. After this incident I was very turned off but decided not to let the rudeness of the receptionist dissuade me from seeing my doctor. I was having an episode of welts and rashes on my fingers and toes so I called and asked if I could come in to be seen. Nikki claimed there were no appointments for 4 weeks. When I told her that I was having the outbreak now and may not be in 4 weeks, she suddenly found an appointment in 2 weeks. I still was not convinced I'd have anything to show the doctor in 2 weeks so I asked her what she does when patients have issues like this that need to be seen immediately? She told me she tells them to go to the emergency room and that's what I should do. I told her it's not an emergency per se, just that it needs to be looked at before it's gone! At this point I felt Nikki was not going to make it easy to give me an appointment ever. Every time I called the office she was rude and dismissive of me. At this point I really should have been done here but I decided to give it one last chance because I needed a skin check. I have a strong family history of skin cancer and I've had several spots removed from my body that were "moderate" and needed to be watched. Nikki could not get me in for almost 3 months. I took the appointment and decided to wait. A week or so before the appointment Nikki called to confirm and told me that soon Dr. Sarnoff would not be doing skin checks anymore- that she'd only be doing them for certain patients and because I've been waiting so long, she would do mine but after that it might not be her. My appointment is tomorrow. Today I received a call from a different receptionist (I guess Nikki felt too embarrassed to make this call after speaking to me just last week) that Dr. Sarnoff is no longer doing skin checks so a different doctor would be doing mine tomorrow. I explained that I was aware she was going to be stopping skin checks because Nikki had told me that last week, but she had also said that Dr. Sarnoff would be doing mine because I had waited so long for my appointment. The receptionist told me sorry but no she can't do mine. She has too many cancer patients and Mohs surgeries to do. It is abundantly clear that this practice (Nikki?) plays favorites. If she doesn't like you, watch out because your health might be put at risk. Dr. Sarnoff may be a good doctor, I really don't know because my interaction with her has been so little, but any doctor who would employ staff who are rude, condescending, lie and pick favorites is not a doctor that I'd want taking care of me. Dr. Sarnoff lost me as a patient today. Anyone reading this would say what took so long?

I really wanted to improve its appearance, so I consulted with several plastic surgery clinics. Unfortunately, most of them only offered major surgical procedures, which came with long recovery times and only minimal improvements. Then I found New You Plastic Surgery and met Dr. Jeremy Nikfarjam. From the very first appointment, I knew this place was different. Dr. Nikfarjam took the time to really listen to my concerns--especially my hesitation about going through another tough recovery--and suggested a non-surgical option using targeted injections for my keloid scar. He explained the entire process clearly, set honest expectations, and designed a treatment plan that fit exactly what I needed. I was surprised (in the best way) to find out there were effective, non-invasive alternatives. After just a few sessions, I saw a big difference. The scar is now much flatter, thinner, and barely noticeable in some areas. Dr. Nikfarjam paid close attention to every detail, adjusting the treatment based on how each section of the scar responded. His skill and care made a huge difference. I'm truly happy with the results. What meant the most to me was that he focused on what was best for me--not just on recommending the most expensive or aggressive treatment. If you're looking for expert care with real compassion and great results, I definitely recommend New You Plastic Surgery.

I had the surgery, after the surgery I realized that I was one of the few people to get what is called a dog's ear, which is a lump of skin at the bottom of the incision. I went to the office multiple times for steroid injections. I was told to wait a few years to see if it would flatten out. It did not. I just left from his office after a consultation with him, he is going to fix the dogs ear himself. He was very polite and explained a lot of things about how the procedure was preformed that the other doctor who had done the surgery did not. I am looking forward to seeing the progress :)

I have now consulted with 20 plastic surgeons. I have tried almost everything - acupuncture. Each surgery helped somewhat; however, it was not enough as I am still in search of relief. The nightmare continues as my bank account dwindles. I would trade my discomfort for a visible scar running across my face. Please learn from my mistake, and let me say it is better to feel good than to look good. From what I understand, Dr. Jacono is under investigation by the Office of Professional Conduct. No surprise here.

From ER, to observation, to admittance, 5 different nurses, 10 different doctors. I originally came cause I thought I was having a mini heart attack, so I looked up the best cardiac hospital in the area, and this was it. They are very good, they are very thorough. But out of ER, you're going to do a lot of waiting. There's just a lot of waiting between everything. The nurses are very nice, but I've gone 3-4 hours without seeing anyone. You press the call for help button, and it's literally ignored, if ever answered. Gotta say, the food ain't bad and the menu has a lot of variety, and very quick and easy to order. But they do not do a good job at addressing time frame and again, I've seen people beside me who are ignored after the call for help button is pressed. The cardiologists are very good, and the cardiac catheterization was easy. The doctors, again, are very thorough. I would say some are overly aggressive. Better too aggressive then too conservative I guess. For a cardiac episode, it's a no brainer, come here. But you're gonna be here a while.
