The first time I went to this office I waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen for 10 minutes by Dr. Sarnoff. The girl behind the desk, Nikki offered no apology just attitude. Once I was finally seen, Dr. Sarnoff rushed through my exam. I guess to be expected as she was at least 2 1/2 hours behind. I have a history that was important for her to know since she was seeing me for the first time, and I didn't feel heard at all. The next time I went in I had asked about some blemishes on my face and was given a brief consultation to have them taken care of. I made an appointment and gave a $500 deposit in cash. After thinking about it for a week or so I called and said I had changed my mind and would like my deposit back. It took over 2 months and many nasty phone calls from Nikki to FINALLY get my money back. It was one excuse and lie after another. From then on I was extremely uncomfortable any time I had to call the office because I was spoken to rudely and hung up on while I was saying goodbye. After this incident I was very turned off but decided not to let the rudeness of the receptionist dissuade me from seeing my doctor. I was having an episode of welts and rashes on my fingers and toes so I called and asked if I could come in to be seen. Nikki claimed there were no appointments for 4 weeks. When I told her that I was having the outbreak now and may not be in 4 weeks, she suddenly found an appointment in 2 weeks. I still was not convinced I'd have anything to show the doctor in 2 weeks so I asked her what she does when patients have issues like this that need to be seen immediately? She told me she tells them to go to the emergency room and that's what I should do. I told her it's not an emergency per se, just that it needs to be looked at before it's gone! At this point I felt Nikki was not going to make it easy to give me an appointment ever. Every time I called the office she was rude and dismissive of me. At this point I really should have been done here but I decided to give it one last chance because I needed a skin check. I have a strong family history of skin cancer and I've had several spots removed from my body that were "moderate" and needed to be watched. Nikki could not get me in for almost 3 months. I took the appointment and decided to wait. A week or so before the appointment Nikki called to confirm and told me that soon Dr. Sarnoff would not be doing skin checks anymore- that she'd only be doing them for certain patients and because I've been waiting so long, she would do mine but after that it might not be her. My appointment is tomorrow. Today I received a call from a different receptionist (I guess Nikki felt too embarrassed to make this call after speaking to me just last week) that Dr. Sarnoff is no longer doing skin checks so a different doctor would be doing mine tomorrow. I explained that I was aware she was going to be stopping skin checks because Nikki had told me that last week, but she had also said that Dr. Sarnoff would be doing mine because I had waited so long for my appointment. The receptionist told me sorry but no she can't do mine. She has too many cancer patients and Mohs surgeries to do. It is abundantly clear that this practice (Nikki?) plays favorites. If she doesn't like you, watch out because your health might be put at risk. Dr. Sarnoff may be a good doctor, I really don't know because my interaction with her has been so little, but any doctor who would employ staff who are rude, condescending, lie and pick favorites is not a doctor that I'd want taking care of me. Waited a long time in the waiting room. Meet with the dr who prescribed a medication. Turn out I was allergic to it - called doctor and no one there was able to help me. The receptionist told me to take 2 50mg Benadryls (which I know know is way too much medication). Knocked me out at work and was unable to get myself home. Then the mole they insisted on removing got very infected and I called back. Had to call three times before I got a call back. Then the doctor said that my stitches look infected but they aren't really infected. Thing is I DIDNT HAVE STITCHES. I really had an infection in my neck from this mole removal. Had a very bad experience with Dr Sarnoff, her staff and the way she runs the office. I waited over 45 minutes in an exam room for the dr. I had told the front desk that I needed to be out at a certain time. My appointment was for 12:15, no one came into my room to see me till 1:15-1:20. Also, when I made this appointment, they gave me 11 am, when I called to confirm they said I wasn't in the appointment book. They gave me a noon appointment instead and when they confirmed it was for 12:15! I was told after my visit where I spent a good amount of money for my fillers and Botox that after few weeks I could come in to get things tweaked. I wasn't happy with the results and when the drs assistant finally came in, I told her my concerns and said what I did wouldn't correct these issues. I would have to do laser and more fillers!! I also never saw the doctor! I do feel like they are not honest with what the results will be and just want you to spend more money . I'm upset with myself that I didn't read the reviews before I decided to see Dr. Sarnoff. If I did, I would have DEFINITELY not have come to her. She also charged almost double what other practitioners charge for her fillers and Botox. Very disappointing!! read more

If I could give her no stars I would. She's late, not because she's seeing patients , but because she schedules meetings in her office . If you see her and not her physician's assistant, she talks about herself and her tv appearances ( whenever that was) and rushes through your exam. The last time I had an appt , because I'll never return, she never entered my room and sent in an assistant. Her ego is out of control. She treats her patients as if their time is insignificant. She is also a walking advertisement for too much filler and what you shouldn't look like. read more

Go somewhere else. She has more patients than she can handle. I waited over 2 hours and people were taken in ahead of me until I made a lot of noise. Then more waiting. When I had my MOHS surgery done her husband did a less-than-perfect job on the repair, according to my eye and, more importantly, my friend, a plastic surgeon. When I went in to have the stitches removed, he didn't even look at the repair, instead having a nurse's aide remove the stitches. read more

I am so frustrated and disgusted by the lack of customer service from Dr. Deborah S Sarnoff's office Cosmetique located at 31 Northern Boulevard Greenvale N.Y. 11548 that I am compelled to write this review in hopes of saving someone else from going thru what I have experienced. To make a long story short....I am now in the 7th week of waiting for a copy of my lab report as I am seeking treatment from a new Dermatologist as the treatment I received from Dr. Sarnoff's staff did not improve my condition. Week 1 - Told only faxed on Tuesday and Thursday and they are very busy. Week 4 - Was advised I am no longer a patient and need to pay to get copies of my records (mind you, only looked for one lab report, not my records) Week 5 - They asked for my Fax # (which I had previously provided) Week 6 - The office manager Linda called that they were leaving a copy at the front desk so I can pick it up! I returned the call, leaving another message to please fax or mail as I was unable to pick it up in person. Five days later No Fax, No U.S. Postal delivery of said lab report. Seriously, what is so difficult about providing a copy of a patients lab report? I guess I should not be so surprised about this offices lack of professional behavior as you always wait a minimum of one hour past your appointment to be seen for five minutes and you rarely see the same doctor as her staff turnover is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and find another Dermatologist - you will be glad you did. read more

I was referred to Dr. Sarnoff by my dermatologist, Dr. Fryer, to have her take a look at a little chemical burn scar i got on my nose after applying a high concentration of tca (80%) for aesthetic purposes (tried to revision an old acne scar). The experience i had at Cosmetique was amazing. Very elegant and clean environment, friendly staff and the doctor was pleasant and made me feel comfortable throughout the appnt. Dr. Sarnoff definitely knows her dermatology. Such an awesome experience!! read more
