Had Harder & Warner do some work for me this summer. I'm posting this hopefully to help others…read moresteer clear of this company. One of the worst experiences I've had with a company in the Grand Rapids Area. I'm posting a email that I sent to the owner of the company explaining my overall experience and dissatisfaction with her company. She (Jonci Warner) never responded to my email. Hopefully my terrible experience helps someone else. Hello Jonci I just wanted to reach out to you about my experience with your company. I'll start from the beginning. I called your company and requested a quote for a drainage issue I was having in my backyard. Brent Lanser came to my house and I explained to him the problem I was having with water pooling in my backyard after heavy rains. We spoke about a couple options and eventually settled on a solution. Brent was personable and professional. He wrote up a proposal and sent it over to a Will Moseley who then emailed it to me April 16. I reached out to Brent personally April 30th to inform him that I was accepting his proposal for the work at my house. He told me that once I signed the work would be put on the schedule in the next couple weeks. I waited and waited and never heard back from Will or Brent. So on June 15th I called Brent to see when your company was coming out. Brent then informed he "Forgot" to schedule the job. You can understand my frustration hearing this considering I paid the deposit in late April and planned on the work being done in May. Irregardless the job was finally scheduled for mid July. Fast forward to the day of the job and the crew began working on the project. I was home until 1ish but had to leave and run some errands. Not long after I left I had your foreman Robert Churchill reach out and ask if I lost internet. Apparently Robert had severed a line in the front of my house. Not long after that text I receive a phone call from Robert saying he'd now severed another electrical line that goes to my garage. At this point I decide to head home and see if I have power in my garage. I come home and find out there is no power to the garage. Robert explains to me that the line he hit was a meaningless telephone line to the garage and the fix would be simple. The crew finished around 5ish and then left. This was on Monday July 13. I hear nothing from Brent or Will following up on the job that was performed at my home. Or the lines that were severed. I eventually call Brent on Friday July 17th wondering why I was never contacted and what we were going to do about the lines severed. In our phone call I was trying to explain the frustration I was experiencing with how no one reached out to me and Brent on multiple occasions began speaking over me. I had to stop and ask Brent who was the customer and how was the person providing service. I don't know if I've ever dealt with someone so unprofessional and rude in a business relationship. If I were ever to speak over a customer while they were talking id probably be terminated from my job immediately. After that unpleasant conversation Brent and Will decided to reach out to a electrician to come out and figure out what was wrong. Now in our emails Brent said he'd pay for the electrician to come and also pay for the damage done on the Companies part. Josh Reil came out and after some digging found out Robert and his crew hit a third electrical line that cut power to my garage. Brent had told me it was only two lines they had severed during our call that Friday July 17th. At this point Jonci I'm trying to understand how these electrical lines were not marked not only in the front but also in the back. Josh forwarded his quote to Will, Brent and I. Almost $1500 to repair what was damaged. Will emailed me a week later saying there was a miscommunication and that harder and warner was not responsible and it was up to me to pay for the work. What was meant to give me peace of mind with water issues has not only turned into a physical headache but also a financial headache.
