Was waiting for my food at Yummy BBQ and then noticed this place in the corner. Took a chance and ordered the Waziri Kebab, and OMG! So delicious and so filling. Can definitely share this with another person. The lady working there is also the sweetest. Will definitely be back!!

Wow. Not what you'd expect for a little food court stall. Ordered: 1 x Baghali Polo 1 x Koobideh Kebab 2 x Rose Big Burger - Persian Style 2 x Single Skewer Koobideh 1 x Greek Fries Total: $60.20 (And she gave us a ton of freebies) Let's start with the food. For the price, there is a LOT of value. (For the record it wasn't just for me, it was for 4 people). The food tasted great and she definitely does NOT skimp out on it. We are talking Koobideh For Days. The meats were grinded and made fresh, and were still juicy by the time they were brought back to the office. The burger itself was huge (roughly the size of something you might find at California Sandwiches). There is no doubt in my mind, that based on value alone we would definitely return here. However, the best part of this was not even the food...at all. Rose was such a sweetheart. She is a one-woman-show and she just made the experience top knotch. She was juggling multiple (large) orders and was beyond hospitable (much more than anyone would ever expect for a food court establishment). I actually felt like I was at my best friend's house and she was his Persian mom. I want her to be my Persian mom. Merci holdoffice!! 6/5 stars.

Really delicious. Meat is moist and flavourful. Prices were very reasonable for the enormous portion sizes. We will definitely be going back. Can order delivery or take out from skip the dishes.

This small take out joint offers the best tasting beef I have ever had! The owner, Rose is the sweetest lady I have ever met and she gave me a free salad to go with my meal. The portions are huge and everything was delicious! I am definitely coming back to support this local business whene

The hours are very limited, and it's a relatively small restaurant. We had the haleem and Shist Andaz; both were generous portions, very flavourful, and really great as a sharing breakfast. This place focuses on Persian dishes, so the menu is a little different, but that's exactly what makes it interesting. We tried a couple of traditional items and everything was full of flavor. The bread was fresh and warm, and the dishes had that rich, comforting feel you don't usually get from typical brunch places. You can really taste the spices and how everything is made with care. The atmosphere is cozy and has a really authentic vibe, but it's not a big space, so it does get busy and there's usually a wait--especially on weekends. Service was friendly and helpful, especially if you're new to Persian food and not sure what to order. Overall, this is a great spot if you want something different from the usual brunch routine. Just come with a little patience and enjoy the experience.

Having eleven guest we found the table seating very cramped still to the point that guest were elbowing each other, it would have been nice if the restuarant had another table allocated for us just for more space. I ordered the Dizi (Abgoosht). It came with a soup that was a bit greasy, yogurt, pickled sides and a stewed lamb. It was well cooked but I wish the food was seasoned a bit less. Some of the kabob ordered by another guest made of ground beef was an oversalted hamburger meat in shape of kabob...it was not impressive. With our large party I thought it would be interesting to comment the restaurant automatically applied 15% tip. I would give this another try but perhaps not as a big party. It's also interesting to note none of the servers were not Persian. Salamati!

Tip#1: Add a bit (or a lot!) of Sumac seasoning (dark red powder in the shaker bottle) onto your kebob meat. It has an almost sour fruity taste which really balances out and adds an unique edge to the meaty kabobs. Tip#2: You'll get small packets of butter that you're supposed to mix & melt into your rice. //APPETIZERS// We tried their Maast-e Saadeh (yogurt dip) with Persian flatbread, Zeitoon Parvardeh (olives), and the Kal Kabob (eggplant with ground walnut & pomergranate) which was my favourite and quite sour. //ENTREES// I tried the Kubideh and Jujeh (Chicken Breast) Kabob, which were both delicious and juicy. The Kabob-e-Torsh veal sirloin meat was too tough, while the the pomegranate walnut molasses was interesting to try, know that it's quite sour too! I also substituted the rice for the salad which was too overdressed with vinaigrette. //DESSERT// My ABSOLUTE favourite thing we had was the Saffron Rosewater Ice Cream. It's beautifully plated and has the perfect balance of creamy, floral, and sweet flavours with crunchy pistachio & pomergranate seeds. I would come back to Sheherzade literally just to have that amazing Saffron Rosewater Ice Cream again & again!

Darbar had absolutely hands down the most delicious kabob koobideh and polo (rice) I have ever tasted. I'm also picky about my koobideh and this was the absolute BEST. I wish we lived in Toronto so we didn't have to wait until another trip to go back! PROS: The kabob had the perfect amount of flavor and was not too dry and not too greasy. The rice also was made to perfection, again fluffy and buttery tasting without being greasy or heavy. Both were mouth-wateringly delicious! In addition to the main entree, everything else, including the side vegetables were all incredibly fresh and tasty. The portion size was huge. At first I thought this place is expensive but then I realized that the size of each "seekh" (skewer) was almost double other places. My kids loved that it came with bread (surprisingly other Persian restaurants seem to skimp on that or charge extra). I loved the "sabzi khordan" (greens) that came with the bread. Even the cheese and walnuts were tastier that what I have at home! The service was excellent. A lovely young women named Pegah served us and couldn't have been any nicer. She wasn't fake nice but actually genuinely nice. I loved the outdoor seating. It was a little loud but they had nice Persian music playing which added to the atmosphere. The tea was delicious and served nicely. I'm surprised other Persian places have the nerve to offer not fresh tea or tea bag tea. This was definitely the real deal. Most people who eat Persian food drink their tea after but I actually love it with my meal. I did not like the spice they added to the tea but the nice server replaced it with regular Persian tea without the spices. CONS: If you're super sensitive to spices you may not enjoy eating inside as the aroma is strong. Most people may not notice or even care (I don't think the other members of my family even noticed) but I had to sit outside. If we go back to Toronto in the winter when outside seating is not an option, I may just do take-out. The same spice that made the inside smell so strong was also what they put in the tea. I wish I knew what it was...perhaps cinnamon or something similar? Overall, I will be dreaming about this place until our next trip back. Lucky you folks from Toronto who don't have to wait!
