Anya, and her caring staff not only love cats but are experts at caring for them.They have vet techs on staff who know what to look for and what to do if there is an unexpected kitty health issue. We so appreciate that they can do a nail trim when he's there so we don't have to!! Their manager Shanon, is a certified pet nutritionist. She was so helpful when I needed advice on how best to help our 15 lb cat Ozzie loose some weight. Our neighbor took their indoor/outdoor cat there when their wood floors were being refinished. Sam is an adopted stray. He was shy and nervous and he'd never been boarded. They knew exactly how to make him feel comfortable and not so scared about being in a new strange place, and he did just fine. I wasn't even going to try because my experience years ago has been not being to get an appointment same day - or even the same week - with my cockatiel who was vomiting, even though they were an established patient with a recent appointment. Another time I wasn't able to get an appointment for weeks for a guinea pig. So I wasn't thrilled with this place in the past because, while I really liked the vet, what good is even having a regular vet if they can't see you if your pet is sick? It seems like they may have gotten more staff recently as I was happy to be able to see a vet same day, even for a new patient to them. The care itself was decent, and the vet clearly cared about birds. It did feel a little rushed in comparison to the appointments I'd had there previously. After the estimate, when I decided on just trying meds, I didn't see the vet again. It would have been nice if she checked in to see if I had any questions. I also didn't get the patient care paperwork until a few days later, when it arrived by email, so maybe they'd forgotten? The meds themselves were also pricey (2x more) compared with a recent visit elsewhere. But all said, my pet recovered. The vet clearly knew birds and obviously cared about them so all in all would use them again.
