ABC Moving moved furniture from our old home to storage on 9/29/21 and then moved us into our new…read morehome on 10/11/21. We paid $1227.50 for the first move and $987.50 for the second move. Before making the second payment, I made the lead person, Joel, aware of several pieces of solid, high-quality wood furniture that were damaged or blemished during the move. Joel took photos of a few of the items and called the owner, and we were told the owner, Jennifer Eckles, would get with us the next day to discuss an insurance claim. Joel was apologetic and genuinely concerned and told us we had 90 days to make a claim with TxDOT. We never received that call from Jennifer. Four weeks later on November 7, I sent an email to Jennifer expressing my frustration and disappointment in the lack of concern and follow-up to resolve the situation. I specifically asked her to advise how/where to file an insurance claim in order to make something about this right. After sending the email, I also sent her a text advising that I had sent an email and asked her to take a look and get back to me. She responded to the text and said she would get back to me that evening. A week later, I still had not heard from her to discuss a reasonable resolution. I scheduled a reputable furniture repair person to do an assessment and make repairs to the most damaged pieces (i.e. dining room table with a swipe of surface scratches 12 to 18 inches wide across the length of the table; bedroom dresser with pressure divots across the dresser's top; deep gouges to a 50-year old chest; blemishes and chunks of wood missing from chair legs). Repairs were made on-site in my home for $200. I filed a complaint with the BBB a month after the move after having never received a call from ABC. ABC never responded to the BBB either. As a courtesy, I reached out to ABC on 12/3/21 by text. The owner did call that afternoon and agreed to Paypal $200 for the repairs. Payment has never been received and the owner never responded to a request for a status update. Small businesses work hard to earn every penny they make so filing a complaint and writing a harsh review is not something I wanted to do. Even though ABC's moving crew was polite and worked hard to move my household, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism demonstrated by this company and do not want others to endure the same experience. It's reasonable to understand that stuff happens and possessions can get damaged during a move, but when almost every piece of furniture is damaged in one way or another, then corrective actions must be taken. I've given this company every opportunity to step up to the plate to make things right and they have chosen not to do so. Don't trust your possessions to this company . . . move on down the road with a much more professional and reputable company. The ABC of "moving" is to NOT do business with ABC Moving in Whitehouse, TX.

The owner tried to blame his movers carelessness of screwing up my fridge by removing the doors and putting dents in the sides because it was a last min move. Then why take my money? BS... The owner won't take responsibility for anything caused by his movers. Hires cheap labor and he is getting paid well. Im filing a claim on his insurance. Go right around the owner and hit his insurance up... Run!

They damaged the walls in our previous home. The owner of the company, Roy, refuses to compensate for the damaged wall and told us that "you have to budget for damages during a move". We have no recourse because the two movers have our belongings and will not release them until we give cash. We cannot dispute the work in anyway unless we want to lose our belongings. Most of the work this company is doing is under the table. We absolutely regret using this company and fear what our belongings look like once we receive them. I will update the review then. Update: The actual movers were nice guys in a tough situation. They are not properly equipped to move an entire household. We have made multiple long distance moves and this was by far our worst mover experience. I forgot to mention previously that the truck sent was too small and we were offered to pay for a U-Haul and additional time. We have unloaded everything and there are multiple items damaged. I have attached photos of some of the damage. Again, please heed this warning and go with another company

Icann Moving - ICANN Moving a family to California

Following our experience with ICANN moving, I must say that I am extremely disappointed and…read morefrustrated. For anyone interested in movers, I highly suggest you AVOID this company at all costs. We agreed to hire ICANN to pack our house and move everything into storage. After speaking with the owner, Henrietta, I was told that my house would take one day to pack and less than one day to move. The packers were nice and cordial and I have no major gripe with them, except that it took two days rather than the initially suggested one and the prices were not clearly expressed at the beginning. Each day of packing cost us over $3,000.00. While this was a surprise for us, we were willing to move forward with it given the packers did well. My major issues began with the moving day. They showed up almost 2.5 hours late. The movers were NOT PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED. They said it would only take them "a few hours" and a truck load or two to move everything based on what they saw during the initial walkthrough - it ended up taking OVER 16 HOURS and three truck loads to move into a storage unit 15 minutes across town. We also had to help and load things into our own vehicle and unload in the storage unit to help the team. The movers damaged the house on their way out, broke and damaged our property, and did not properly wrap furniture (one mover even exclaimed, "f*** this, I'm not wrapping anything else!") They left trash at both properties, SMOKED CIGARETTES INSIDE, and missed several pieces which resulted in more time and trips. The DAMAGES AND DESTRUCTION to our property we were able to see (due to most of our property being wrapped or packed in storage) surpassed $2,000.00. Once the movers arrived to the storage unit with their final load at around 2:00 AM, they demanded we pay the over $3,000.00 balance in full before they could unload. We asked to speak with the owner and, over the phone, she told us she would be taking our property if we did not pay right then and there. We asked if she would call us in the morning to discuss the issues before we paid, but she refused. We needed to pay before she would discuss further. So, after paying over $10,000.00 at this point, the owner called us the next morning and said the "best she could do" was pay us back $300.00 for the damages. We asked her to reconsider given the situation and she said she would get back with us that afternoon. Two days later, after multiple messages that were essentially ignored, she finally got back to us and said there was nothing she could do because her guys "did the work." She backpedaled her original $300.00 credit and said that the job was complete, despite the multiple issues. I m highly disappointed. ICANN Moving should be avoided at all costs due to their negligence, unprofessionalism, and failure to communicate. This company damaged property, some of which is broken beyond repair, and we were not even given a simple "sorry. At the end of the day, if I am paying premium prices, I expect premium service. I will never use this company again and if anyone in my circle asks for moving company recommendations, you better believe I will tell them to not use ICANN Moving.
