The car in front of us kicked up a black part of a work/construction cone and there was no way to straddle it, and the base of the cone hit and knocked the shield underneath the car and caused the shield to drag. We ended up driving up to the A-1 Auto Parts and mechanic shop around 1:15 and they looked at our car and took off the shield. It didn't take more than 20 minutes in total. Great business. We called AAA for a tow and they sent Mkm Wrecker. The tow truck arrived sooner than we expected. The driver quickly got the car ready for a tow and we were on our way to Abilene (~100 miles away).
