Unfortunately, my experience was defined by poor communication, lack of transparency, and a complete disregard for commitments that had already been made. Communication throughout the process was consistently poor. Calls and text messages routinely went unanswered, and I rarely received updates when promised. When I was able to make contact, there always seemed to be an explanation for the lack of communication, but very little follow-through. For a repair project of this size and cost, that level of customer service is unacceptable. My interactions with the office manager, Jen, only added to the frustration. Communication from her was inconsistent, yet customers were expected to respond immediately and meet every expectation placed on them. When I received a vague estimate for a $14,500 repair job and was asked to put down nearly $5,000 upfront, I simply requested clarification and additional detail. This seemed like a reasonable request considering the amount of money involved, especially since the repairs were not scheduled to begin for approximately six weeks. What ultimately convinced me to take my business elsewhere was how my scheduled repair dates were handled. Ken and I had mutually agreed upon those dates well in advance. Because I live full-time in my RV and travel for work, I had to coordinate vacation time and make arrangements to be out of my home while the repairs were being completed. The company was fully aware of these circumstances. After receiving the revised estimate, I had not yet responded because I was reviewing the information and considering the significant financial commitment. In less than 24 hours, without a phone call, meaningful follow-up, or any attempt to discuss the matter, I was informed that my repair slot had been given to another customer. Considering the amount of planning required on my end and the fact that these dates had already been agreed upon, I found this decision both unprofessional and disrespectful. Ken may be a good technician and a genuinely nice person, but running a successful business requires more than technical knowledge. Customers spending thousands of dollars deserve clear communication, detailed estimates, reasonable responsiveness, and confidence that commitments will be honored. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this company based on the way my situation was handled.

I contacted this business to get a quote for a tow to Bronte for mechanic work. They never gave me…read morea quote but stated they could come pick up my vehicle, check it out to see what was wrong, and fix it for less than the tow plus service from the other mechanic, but still never quoted me on the tow itself. I agreed because I didn't think I would be taken advantage of. They came and picked up my vehicle on a Thursday and did not have me sign anything or get any vehicle information off of my car. Friday I called multiple times with no response to how long or how much the repairs were going to cost. I then called again Friday evening and finally received a quote of $400 for a serpentine belt and pulley replacement. Due to the fact that I myself am not a mechanic, I assumed it was a serious repair since I was quoted so high. I then did not get a call until the following Monday that my vehicle was ready. When I got there the price was $100 more than quoted on the phone the previous Friday with no explanation, they had me get the mileage from my car for them which was the first record of it since picking it up the previous Thursday, I never signed any paperwork nor the credit card receipt, and as soon as I drove off of the property my check engine light came back on. I did not take it back because I already had a feeling I had been taken advantage of. So I drove to Autozone and had a diagnostic ran which stated Power Train System Low Voltage. I at that point contacted our family's mechanic in Bronte where I originally wanted it towed and was informed that it shouldn't have been allowed to leave until it had been test drove. He asked if I received any warranty information on the parts replaced and I said no despite the fact that is why they asked for the mileage before I left. I was never given any physical or photographic proof of the parts needing replaced nor did I receive any proof of part purchase or warranty for said new parts. The receipt has no itemization for the length of time that it was worked on but just that I was charged $300 for the work alone. I was also then informed by our family mechanic that by the book those 2 parts should only take .7 and .5 hours, for a total time of 1.2 book hours. My Aunt then called to see if they would give her a flat in town or mileage tow rate and they would not just as they did to me. Only kept asking why and where it needed to be towed. She then asked if they do mechanic work in which they said yes. She also asked if they had an ASE certified technician in which they also said yes. So she then continued to ask them why I was charged so much for 2 things that shouldn't have taken more than an hr for a properly trained ASE certified technician and he made the excuse they had to troubleshoot. She then asked again why did they charge so much for something that should have been a fairly simple repair and why did my check engine light come on immediately after leaving the lot. At which time the man became flustered and said well it wouldn't even start this morning. I was never told this, and was allowed to pick it up and required to pay a substantially inflated fee. This place saw me a young lady that had a young baby and they took advantage. It was easy because I need my vehicle to get anywhere for myself and my child, and I do not know enough about cars or situations like this. Any time I've ever had work done in the past it's either been at the dealership which is 45 minutes away, or at our family mechanic that is 40 minutes away. I could not get the vehicle to either of those places because the serpentine belt was broke so I was at these people's mercy. The only reason I paid is because I know that if I didn't the wrecker service can keep my vehicle until I do. I will be filing in small claims and I hope this review will help anyone in the future.

The car in front of us kicked up a black part of a work/construction cone and there was no way to straddle it, and the base of the cone hit and knocked the shield underneath the car and caused the shield to drag. We ended up driving up to the A-1 Auto Parts and mechanic shop around 1:15 and they looked at our car and took off the shield. It didn't take more than 20 minutes in total. Great business. Great people!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone having car trouble in the Sweetwater area or someone traveling through Sweetwater.
