During a road trip from Arizona, our older Jeep Cherokee broke down in rural Texas. Two mechanics at other shops in the surrounding area had already looked at the Jeep and admittedly said either they could not figure it out or weren't able to fix it. This left us with no choice but take it to a dealership on a Friday in a small town. Let me say that this was a scary proposition for out of towners with dealership trust issues. Wesley, the service manager we worked with, was amazing. Very professional and very courteous. He assured us that we were in good hands. They properly diagnosed the car and gave us the news. He made several calls to get the needed parts but it was gonna take a couple days to fix. Great. Stranded. In Snyder, Texas. Trip ruined? Wesley wasn't having any of that! He got us a loaner vehicle so we could still make our time in the area a fun experience. We were able to get our car back on the road and get back to Arizona with good memories and not bad ones. When we were in the lobby I read the display sign they had on the table. It talked about how they do business (see attached photo). What stood out: "We do the right thing without respect to profit" At first I was skeptical. Just words on a page. Does anyone ever believe that anymore? Well I have to say they delivered in spades, exceeded all of our expectations, and gave us faith that not all dealerships are out to take advantage of customers who, in our case, had no other options. It took them three tries to fix one cam position sensor and other problems they "found". On the third trip they claimed my radiator was leaking and wanted well over a grand to replace it. I refused that repair and drove it home to Roscoe. Upon getting home I inspected the radiator and couldn't even find a wet spot. Zero loss of coolant. Again, watch them like a hawk or better yet, avoid them altogether.

They do not conduct a mechanical assessment on any of the cars they offer for sale. They place profits and their personal pride over the safety and security of those driving their cars off the lot. I returned a safety hazard of a car to them only after making it clear that they were breaking the law by not disclosing problems with their vehicles. Scott will claim he bought the car back from me, but he came up over $500 short of what I paid him. We trusted Freedom Motors and they let us down.

I'm from Arizona and found the vehicle on CARFAX, so I contacted the dealership. They transferred me to Chris, and right off the bat, he sent me really detailed pictures and videos of the car. That way, I wouldn't make the trip and end up disappointed over a scratch or something similar. He was completely honest about the car having a ding on the back and a cracked windshield, but assured me the windshield would be replaced if I bought the vehicle. Two days later, after great communication, I drove to Texas, and the car looked exactly as he had shown and described. I finally met him in person (he's a really outstanding guy), and he encouraged me to take it for a spin before buying. It drove amazingly. Unfortunately, the windshield technician brought the wrong windshield glass and couldn't replace it that same day, so Chris promised to send me a check for $620--the amount they were quoted by the replacement company. (Which I did) We went through finance, where I got GAP coverage and everything I wanted, without any pressure whatsoever. As a 39-year-old who's bought more than a dozen cars from dealerships, this was by far the best experience I've ever had.
