Gyro Platter with salad, hummus and rice.

Shazar K.

This was my first time at Roro's. There is a sense of nostalgia when entering the restaurant and it's a mindful experience: the sounds of food being prepared, the smell of the ingredients and cooking, the sight of your meal being expertly crafted. The food was delicious and I appreciate that they offered suggestions and combinations of what works well together.

Jonathan C.

Came here base on the great reviews from yelp. Was not disappointed. Ordered the gyro platter and everything was cooked fresh and great flavor.

The food is great - one of the best and friendliest restaurants in the area. The food is prepared in such a clean way with top notch ingredients that you'd think it was made at home.

My first time ordering from here based on the positive reviews. I ordered the gyro and a side of hummus. The speed of delivery was impressive. Very fast. The gyro was delicious and I'm glad I ordered it from here instead of where I normally go. The hummus and pita was also very good, which I ate for dinner My only bump in the road was that when placing my order, the person couldn't understand what I was saying, neither my phone # or address. I am very articulate so maybe it was the connection. It was so bad that I almost changed my mind. She had to put someone else on the phone. Anyway, I'd definitely order again. I can only hope my address saved with my phone # because that exchange was frustrating.

Take out place that is very good food and fresh. Gyro, wraps, sandwiches - especially RoRo's sandwich very tasty.

Came here and brought a chicken pita sandwich. It was delicious and tasty. Doesn't look much on the outside, but the food was good.

Looked up food near me like always lol and a bunch of places popped up but this caught my eyes with good reviews and the yummy pictures. I was in the valley stream area and I'm glad I chose this one over the other ones listed. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding. Small business small eating area but definitely worth to check out if you're wanting a gyro of any sort and salad. Food is so fresh and not oily like other spots I've been too. Definitely come back again.

Roro's Gyro is exactly what I was looking for. I'm want to stay away from the fast food restaurants and I've been trying to eat different foods. I really like gyros, and sometimes it's hard to find a place that makes a good one. Well I found Roro's on yelp and after a few read reviews I made my way over. I'm so glad I did. This place was just what I wanted. Small business attention and service. I felt comfortable in here. The lady I placed my order with welcomed me with a smile and allowed me to take my time with the menu. She was pleasant and personable. Now the food. Kept my order simple, Gyro without the onions and a side of fries. My gyro was flavorful with a balanced ratio of meat, lettuce, tomato and sauce. (Having trouble spelling tzatziki) hope that's right. The fries were crisp but not crunchy and my food was delivered to my table. I noticed the other patrons came in and were greeted and addressed as if they were regulars. That tells you something when people return to a familiar place. Small place but HUGE in customer service and i will definitely return.

Ok anyone that knows me knows I love my Greek food! And the thing about Roro's...it's alwaysss amazing. A friend of mine moved up the street from roros and I discovered them one day while trying to find food in the area. The thing that also stands out is their amazing customer service!! Our food arrived hot and quickly. When my extra sauce was not in the bag...the delivery lady (who happens to be one of the owners) walked it back over without hesitation! They are always very kind and phone orders are always accurate! Thanks Roros and see u soon!

First time trying Roro's. Food came fast, and was fresh and delicious! Tzaziki was fantastic, always a good sign. Kaufta and falafel great, same with hummus and tahini. Grilled chicken over Greek salad also just great. We liked the spinach and feta spring rolls a bit more than the spinach pie, but both were really good. Call em and order food. I found this place by chance and I was happily surprised. The owners were very kind and in great spirits. The menu was extensive but not overwhelming. And the RoRo sandwich was phenomenal. You can tell the food is good at a small place when there's a group of hungry construction workers having a meal and praising it. Truly recommend this spot for a quick gyro, or platter, and the brownies are very good. read more

We started with a lunch option, consisting of the Spanakopita (flaky and generously filled with spinach and feta) and a Greek Salad (fresh with lightly dressed vegetables). We also shared a Pita Chicken Gyro, the chicken was well-seasoned, the pita bread was soft and freshly baked, and all of it combined made each bite enjoyable. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, so we ordered the Orange Cake. At first, the texture hit differently; if I can compare it to anything, it would be close to bread pudding - it was moist but not overly wet. After the first bite, we didn't want to stop eating it. The flavors were divine. Our server, Jocelyn was a tremendous help; she was personable, attentive, and thoughtful, considering our needs before we even asked. Delighted to have finally been able to visit this hidden gem. Pleasant environment with great music softly playing in the background. I highly recommend it, and we can't wait to return!

So, I have been passing by Greek City for a while and not making time to stop in but on October 28th, in my current state of becoming hangry, I stopped in. The greeting that I received was that of distant relatives that came into town to visit, I was given the most comforting hospitality that a person can give and to be honest, I received every ounce of it. This is a family owned and operated, the mom-Patricia was phenomenal and uses customer retention tactics. The owner Chef George came out to indulge in conversation and I was fortunate to met the mom Maria. I looked over the menu and ordered Lamb and Beef Gyro. It arrived with all the fixings -- crisp French fries and a generous portion of lamb and beef. I walked away thoroughly satiated and I had to take some home because I could not devour it as I intended. My state of being hangry had dissipated halfway through the meal. My experience was fantastic and the service was astonishing. The environment that they've created complements both the setting and the Greek décor in a way that feels intentional. That's why dining here was appreciated on every level, because I walked into a diamond in the rough and walked out eager to share my good fortune and my findings with the community. Great restaurant, very reasonably priced. The Roro's salad is great for vegetarians like myself; the veggie burger is great, the falafel is great. My wife orders the gyro (for meat eaters) and loves it. We eat here several times a month. It's clearly a family-owned business and it would be great if they could succeed despite being located a couple blocks off Sunrise Highway. Coming in we found this gem to be top notch yet small and accommodating. It was immaculate and everything was in its place and the bar stools were so beautiful. We approached the counter, made our order and sat and waited for our food. The young lady and young man, I forgot their names, they were very cordial and pleasing to talk to. During our interaction we found out that Avli has another location in Bayside NY and this location was opened 2 years ago. When the order was ready, they brought the food out to us. We had the lamb gyro. This a huge meal, a delicious looking masterpiece that was assembled well and I found it very satisfying. This was an all lamb gyro, other places sell mixed lamb and beef. This gyro was very fresh witha full lamb flavor. We tried the orange cake for desert, it was quit delicious and not too sweet, also very satisfying. The Greek restaurants are blossoming in Franklin Square. I most definitely have choices I'm Franklin Square when I want Mediterranean dishes and I'll be back. Inspire more,Yelp more?

The simple salad and I tried putting the table pre set dressing on the table which was a bit to vinegary and the white chunks inside of it which I'll guess was like feta cheese - shouldn't it be refrigerated???? Not sure if it was that or the seafood platter but my stomach hurt abut after that meal. The falafels were just ok a bit on the dry side flavor was ok. And one of them was broke in half and served in two dried out fried pieces Tahini was not my fav. Then my son got his gyro which of all the gyros and I love them and as hard to mess up as they are we saw the least amount of effort put into it! They put 5 slices tomatoes all still connected and parts not cut through still same as my Salad in one a lot / pre made beef and lamb dried out gyro meat scattered / with more lettuce then what my salad had in it and few to almost no onions .... Then I asked my son is it even with tatziki and he said no only on the side . How are you supposed to put that on the Inside so the whole thing was dry. WHEN WE GO OUT TO EAT we want a good cheat meal!!!! We want good food and I'll my years this is tied with only one other Greek place as one of the worst I've ever ate at!! This off a waste of money and time that day. And I didn't even mention my seafood later worth 40$ . It should be a shame and disgrace to serve imitation crab meat which isn't even crab meat inside of your stuffed fish and shrimp . This is the first ever Greek place that has ever done this and is just sad to see a business do this . The scallops were rubbery and flavorless, the clams had more breadcrumbs and veggies than even that fake crab meat in it!'!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone ever and I'm really disappointed because I saw this place packed a few weeks ago but not sure at all why.

Uber Eats Date: July 18, 2025…read more Every other Friday I work and every other Saturday I work I decide to treat myself to food out for lunch. Than I get tired and I yearn for a car nap and I end up paying in between $25 and $40 for Uber Eats to deliver me food so I can have a car nap on my break. So I got hit with my Friday predicament, started feeling tired and decided to uber eats food to work. Naq's has a BOGO deal on Uber Eats. If I'm going to get uber eats I try to at least go for the BOGO deal. I got the lamb over rice added hot sauce, green sauce and white sauce. My food was delicious so so so good! The rice had that Middle Eastern tangy taste that Middle Eastern rice has if you've ever eaten halal food or Afghanistan food or sometimes Indian food. My whole dish was so moist which I didn't mind, the sauces were such a good combination together. The lamb was soft and moist. Everything worked so well together in one dish. If you're in the mood for Halal and you're near Island Park in my opinion Naq's is the place to go!
