This place is great. As soon as you walk in there's a huge waiting area that's decorated so nicely and ample seating. I was in and out in 2 hours with minimal waiting time (first visit and had to fill out paperwork). I was called in and hadn't even finished my paperwork. The dentist actually takes time to explain the entire process and what to expect during and after. I think total treatment time was estimated to be an hour but I think he finished in less than that. There's parking in the back! My insurance covered most of the charge, approx 80-90% but did have to pay an out of pocket charge for the CT scan, which isn't common but something the doctor asked for to ensure precision. Hopefully won't need to come back but if I ever need another root canal done, definitely will be coming back here. read more

tl;dr: waited over 40 mins after my appointment time; went through full surgery prep (shot up with novacaine, all sorts of stuff crammed in my mouth) only to abort AFTER a review of an MRI scan. Came in for a root canal referral. Slick-looking reception area. We reviewed my charts and xrays, we agreed to move forward with the surgery. Charged me $1200 out of pocket. They gave me an MRI of my head/mouth, which I initially thought was a tad strange (why would they need a scan if they already have the x-rays and if we've already decided to do the root canal?), and then proceeded to prep me for the surgery over the next 20 mins. I hate the novacaine shots, and the numbness to my face. And they stuffed multiple objects in my mouth for the procedure. And then the assistant said, "the doctor would like to show you something," and proceeded to take everything out of my mouth. The doctor showed me the MRI results, and said that my sinus cavity was too close to the tooth, and that a root canal would be impractical and suggested we not proceed, and rather get the tooth extracted. I was too drugged up to ask, "um, well why didn't you tell me all this before you poked my mouth with needles, numbed my face, and stretched out my jaw?!" Shouldn't there be an order of operations that would run any xrays and scans BEFORE prepping for a dental surgery? They refunded most of my money, but kept about $350 for the MRI. If they couldn't get a relatively simple procedure like a root canal straightened out, I'd hate to see how they handle more complicated surgeries. read more

First off this location is close to my house in Culver City, secondly it's beautiful inside; bright, open and EXTREMELY clean. I was great by a friendly young man who processed me through and my lobby wait time was minimal (this may not be everyone's wait time but it was for me.) The hygienist who came in was very friendly. I was there for a root canal and as I had never had one I was a little nervous. The room I was in was so bright and clean I asked if they did actual dentistry there! They took X-rays and a 3D scan of my tooth to verify there were no unseen cracks or other issues. The dentist explained everything about what I was looking at as well as what was going to happen. The procedure itself was actually a fairly uneventful experience. The most painful part was paying my portion of the bill! Beautiful very modern clean dental office. They explained to me why I needed another root canal done with images and marking the problem on the big screen. They explained the procedure and my cost. I haven't done a root canal in years so cost wise I'm not sure what it averages. It was a little more then I imagen. Overall everyone is friendly very helpful. The root canal took no more then 30 mins I didn't feel a thing from the start to end didn't need pain killers after either. You get what you pay for and it's well worth it here. I loved my visit to RootVision Endo! It had been a very stressful past few weeks because of some teeth pain and then having to find out that I needed to get a root canal and a crown. Because I was diagnosed with Sjogren's and Lupus, I tend to experience severe dry mouth, inflammation in my gums, and prone to infections (as well as low white blood cell count). I am constantly worried about maintaining my teeth/mouth as clean as possible. Recently, we found a deep infection in my molar and had to schedule a root canal. My experience with this office was not a pleasant one. I was referred from my primary dentist office to Root Vision Endo for a emergency root canal procedure. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm I arrived at 12:40pm and completed the necessary paperwork. 1:33 comes around and I'm still waiting for my procedure to be started. At this time the tech as for me to now wait in the waiting area and I reply with when is the doctor going to get started wit me and she started 45 minutes. To top this whole experience off they made me pay before my procedure had even begun. Who makes you pay for services that have not been rendered yet? At this time I politely requested for the refund of my $486 to be refunded back to my account and I would contact my primary dentist for a replacement referral. The staff member then stated the Doctor will see you sooner, so I agreed to stay. They began the numbing process in between another patient (pacifying the wait time) and some procedural prep. As someone who suffers from dental anxiety, I was very worried when I was referred here for two root canals, probably due to the fact that I hadn't had any dental work done in a very long time. Little did I know, I really had nothing to worry about. Upon first entering the building, the reception area was very open and clean looking. Hareem at the front desk was busy helping another patient when I walked in, but he immediately acknowledged my presence and said he would be right with me. I filled out necessary paperwork as a new patient and was brought back to have xrays done and confirm that root canal was the best way to proceed. I was visibly nervous when I met Dr. Nugent, but he was very reassuring and professional while explaining what needed to happen and why. After deciding to get both root canals done that day, Hareem broke down the costs and the procedure was under way. I was really surprised by how well things went. Dr. Nugent and his assistant worked very efficiently together to get things done. I didn't feel anything during the procedure and even in the days after, it wasn't anything a few tylenol didn't help with. I had a very positive experience here. I wanted to update my review about Rootvision endo in "CULVER CITY" . I first went there with horrible pain in my whole face. It was the worst dental pain I have ever experienced. They had to do two root canals. The dentist there I felt had done great work. My bridge fit more secure than when I originally had done. The dentist offered me some medication for pain, and it just happened to be something that there is a massive shortage of so when I got the the drug store to pick it up I could not get it. Between the drug store and rootvison there was a break down in communication long store short, I ended up having just deal with the pain for three or four days. I was beyond pissed off and full of emotion and I wrote a horrible review about rootvision in Culver City. I was still having issue with the healing in my mouth so I had to come back even though i did not want to. My second trip there was much better they went out of their way to make sure that I had everything that I need to get through the recovery period. At this point I feel like my first review was rather unfair so I want to set it straight. This is a good dentist they have state of the art equipment and very friendly staff. Let me first start off by saying I was scared to get anything worked on cause of my anxiety. But I was referred here by my dentist and they definitely didn't disappoint me. I went in and was greeted right away by Hareem(he was the sweetest). I filled out the paperwork and they took me to get my X-ray done. After that they told me how much my insurance covered and if I wanted to proceed with getting my root canal now, I said yes and paid and was to get the ball rolling! Dr. Nugent told me everything he was going to do and told me to let him know if I was in any pain! But I'm saying all this to say I worked myself up for nothing because the root canal didn't hurt at all. He numbed me up real good. It took maybe 30 mins to a hour to do the procedure but that's just too make sure everything is good. Here it is the next day after my procedure and I'm not in pain whatsoever. I didn't even have to take any medicine after the numbness wore off! If you need a root canal please come here you won't be disappointed. On March 8th 2021 I had an appointment with RootVision in Culver City, CA. for a root canal, I am such a dental chicken however pain overrides all fear. (Needles always frighten me so enough on that). I was referred by Le Chic Dentist (also a terrific general dentist) after experiencing some truly awful mouth pain when a molar became infected, and RootVision was able to get me in quickly for a visit. Their team was extremely communicative and caring throughout, and I was able to get a much needed root canal the same day as my consultation. Dr. Nugent & his assistant did an excellent job, so much so that I haven't needed any OTC pain killers once the numbing medication wore off.
