Word to potential costumers: be sure your tech confirms with you that they are going to provide the…read moreservice you asked for at the front desk (what you wanted and were willing to pay for) or they will default to the more expensive service without telling you and upcharge you. I have never spent money on something more uncomfortable and unpleasant than the manicure I just experienced. I walked in to Pure Lux and asked for a gel manicure. What I now realize is that I was given, and was charged for, a luxury gel manicure, which cost $20 dollars more and has left me scraping under my nails with a cuticle trimmer for the last hour. I was confused as to why the tech got out a mechanical device to file my nails, as I only wanted a basic gel manicure. But I'd never gotten my nails done here before so I figured this was the norm. At 45 minutes in, when the tech had not even begun to apply the actual color to my nails, I was incredibly confused. Why was a basic gel manicure taking so long? The entire process was so uncomfortable: it involved endless filing and mechanical buffing. My fingers were dusty and the tech's gloves manipulating my fingers felt abrasive and unsettling. All of the dry nail that the tech filed off made its way under my nails, and each gel coat caused it to set. The layer grew thicker and thicker until it felt the bottom of my nails was fused with my fingertips. I asked the tech to clean beneath the nails but she barely fixed the issue at all. At the end, I asked again for her to clean underneath the nails. She made another mild pass. I had to ask to use the tool myself and she seemed annoyed and exasperated that I was trying to take care of the issue myself to ease my discomfort. After the tech charged me, I looked at the website and saw the service correlated with the price I'd paid. It was not what I asked for at all. I'm incredibly frustrated that I not only had to sit in discomfort for nearly an hour and a half, but that I hadn't asked to this and paid more for it, AND that I remain uncomfortable now that I'm home. I won't be returning (although I may have to to get this removed--at this rate, it's all I can feel and I can't concentrate on anything else). If you decide to get your nails done here, although I don't recommend it, again, ensure you and your tech are on the same page re: the service you've requested or they will upsell you/overcharge you without your consent.

Debra washed my hair then back on the chair she showed me different looks with what I had and we decided on something shorter but not too short. The haircut took maybe 30 minutes in total but I was amazed at how much better it looks and feels now. Plus my wife likes it. If I want to grow it long again, my starting place is longer than last time. The cost was $30 and I could put it & gratuity on a credit card with no fuss about that. If you've been elsewhere in Jackson, cash is the required payment. It's amazing how much better it feels shorter. Will definitely return after the intervals we discussed.

I live in Los Angeles and was visiting Jackson Hole for a family vacation. As someone who frequents…read moremany of the top salons in LA and gets regular blowouts, I can say with complete honesty that Natalie at Signature by Daniela gave me the BEST blowout I have ever had. I have very fine, difficult hair. Using conditioner usually causes my curls to fall out immediately, but skipping conditioner leaves my hair tangled and difficult to comb through. Natalie understood this right away and never tried to push products or a routine that wouldn't work for my hair. Instead, she listened, adapted, and relied on her incredible skill and technique. Her blow-drying and curling technique was absolutely phenomenal. My hair looked amazing the moment I left the salon, but what truly shocked me was how well it lasted. My blowout continued to look fantastic for an entire week! I've honestly never experienced anything like it. Natalie's talent rivals that of Chris McMillan or any celebrity hairstylist I've visited in Los Angeles. She is that good. In addition to styling, she also specializes in blonding and color, and based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to trust her with my color as well. What a gem. What a find. My only wish is that I could somehow bring her back to LA with me! If you're ever in Jackson Hole, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Natalie at Signature by Daniela. You'll be so glad you did.
