About two years after our first trip to Jackson and we've finally returned. I had a back injury the first time and literally the only reason I was able to hike and particularly in everything we had planned was because Stevie worked on my back for 90 minutes the day we got there. This time around I had no back injury but I am 20 weeks pregnant. Had another amazing massage by Stevie. She eased some backache that I typically don't let any therapist touch. Gentle on the super sensitive areas of my back but very effective. She is so helpful too. It was nice to see a friendly familiar face in a town that is not home. Stevie rocks. My husband and I rolled into town on Saturday from a 30 hour relay race - we ran to Wyoming from Utah. Needless to say we were sore. After a quick yelp search I picked Bliss Bodywork and was able to sign up for 9am and 11am massages the next day. On Sunday! I really appreciated how easy it was to get an appointment. Stevie has a great massage style, can go as deep as you want and definitely finds spots that you didn't even know were there. The room is lovely and her special oil magical. My wife and I were in the Jackson area for a week's vacation, and we decided to treat ourselves to massages after all our driving and hiking. I can honestly say it was one of the best massages i have ever had. I generally like deep tissue massages, while my wife prefers something lighter - but even she gave rave reviews of Stevie. I saw Stevie when I was in Jackson last December, and I did not leave town without scheduling another visit for the following February (this coming weekend). She gave me the best overall massage I have ever had, including my experiences in Europe. She even made my hand with carpal tunnel symptoms feel better, with the effects lasting more than a month. I like that she is a private practitioner- much nicer than a big hotel spa, and her sessions could be scheduled at my convenience, not on a corporate schedule. I visit Jackson once a year and every year I make sure to see Stevie at Bliss Bodyworks. The first year I found her because between traveling and hiking and white water rafting, I had horrible back spasms and pain. 90 minutes with Stevie and not only was I able to enjoy the rest of my vacation but I felt amazing. Other trips, I've had massages with her to relax and get rid of the regular stress and aches. This year, I managed to break my hand and required surgery on it. I came to Stevie two days later because between the accident and holding my body in an unusual way, every muscle in my back and neck was shot. This was by far the best massage I have received in a long time! Stevie worked on areas of my body typically bypassed (i.e. buttocks and sides under arm) and the relief was immediate to my lower back and shoulder area. It was 60 minutes of bliss. I have extreme chronic neck & shoulder pain. I have been seeing Stevie once a week and have notice such a difference. My headaches are almost none, and I can move my head around more freely and without constant pain. She does a lot of fascial release treatments on me, and it has made a world of difference!! One of the best and knowledgable therapists I have ever had work on me. =) She also did some release on my shin muscles. I have always had pain in those muscles from hiking up steap terrain.
