I called H&G assuming they would send someone out to address the situation, but I was told it would be $140/hr to have someone come to my house. The warranty on the water heater only covers parts. I then asked if they find something that was wrong with the installation when they show up that's causing the leak, would they simply repair that at no charge? Nope, 30-day warranty on the workmanship involved with the installation. I made this phone call as I was standing in my basement with about 6 contractors who were doing a remodel for me. All of them were shocked at this level of customer service. Make sure you read the fine print when you're hiring H&G to do anything. The couldn't have cared less when I called them. I'll never use them again. I guess I should have looked at these reviews online before I hired them.

He didn't even bother to show up to inspect the failure, simply told me it wasn't his faul via text a week after the failure. He wastes no time expecting payment, though. I have everything documented and will provide upon request and during a video review. I'm still hoping to avoid litigation by having someone ELSE come and fix it for a reasonable rate, but my hopes aren't high. He also damaged my trim (cut into it) installing an access panel behind the shower, which I didn't make a big deal out of at the time; but after the failure of the seat, I have to warn you- you can do better.
