I had a water leak on an outside faucet which Dalton and Simon came to work on today. It didn't go quite as planned as we hoped it would and was quite the problem before it could be completed. I couldn't be happier with their work and the ability to stay cool when I'm sure they would have liked to throw in the towel! Rick is a very credible guy as well as being a professional plumber. My neighbor recommended him as a plumber who was honest and reasonably priced. He replaced my water heater with a top quality A.O. Smith for only $100 more than Home Depot would have charged for a homeowner-grade-quality Rheem installed by third-party non-plumbers. (Rick refuses to install even contractor-grade Rheems.) Another plumber told me my vent pipe was not to code, but Rick verified that it met manufacturer specs, passing up a chance to earn an extra $200 on replacing it. I was a little worried that his estimate was oral, not written, but the bill was exactly what he promised. read more

Rick is an amazing plumber! When I called Rick about my water softener concerns he went out of his way to make a same day visit to diagnose the problem. After he replaced the softener some other issues popped up. I called Rick the next morning and with-in 35 minutes he was at my house. Rick stayed for 5 hours correcting a mess that the original builders or a previous plumber had left behind. Had Rick not come right away there could have been severe damage done to the pipes and water heater. Rick also caught a potential flooding problem and fixed it. He was so thorough and detailed. He checked every single shower, tub, sink faucet, toilet and water heater to make sure everything was working correctly. Rick is a true professional that does quality work and really cares about his customers. I highly recommend Rick and I will call no one but him for future plumbing needs. I had water coming up under our house slab. Called and got a hold of Rick right away. He took his time to listen about what issues we were seeing and was out the very next day earlier than he expected and called to let me know. Got here and went right to work. He was very thorough and figured out we had a break in our main. Discussed solutions long term and short term and costs. Decided on a short term fix which he said he could do the following day. Told me what it was going to cost and didn't charge me until he returned and completed the work. Felt he was very fair and also very knowledgeable. Not sure I will look for another plumber again! Rick answered our call right away on a Sunday and agreed to travel all the way to Columbia Heights the next day to help us with a broken shower pipe. Our Franken-pipes (thanks to a creative DIY job by the previous owner) required a Menards run for the correct fittings. Rick cut and installed new pipe and fittings, and installed a new faucet spout too. This wasn't a routine situation, but the problem was solved with quality materials and expertise; our water pipe worries are gone! Once the shower pipe was fixed, Rick took a quick look at some other areas of our house and answered all of our new homeowner questions. The Rooter-man was called to my son's house because my son's hot water heater was out. The hot water heater is only 7 years old and the guy from Rooter-man tells him the water heater needs replacing. My son didn't believe him and opted to call Centerpoint Energy. The bill from Centerpoint came to $140.00. The guy from Rooter-man wanted $150.00 for the visit. HE DID NOTHING. My son negotiated giving him $100.00 cash and the Rooter-man left. STAY AWAY. THESE GUYS ARE DISHONEST! The only thing they are interested in is doing a rooter job on you! read more
