I have strawberry blonde hair and my eyelashes are soooo light, I look tired if I don't wear mascara because you can't even see my lashes. So I figured the lift and tint would save me from having to wear mascara. It totally does! I got my lashes tinted once before a few years ago from another place, and they didn't get all the way to the base, so I had a line of light hair before the lashes were tinted. I was nervous this would happen again, but nope! Emi was so good, she got all the way to the base and the lift is amazing! My skin is also extremely sensitive, and the only thing that happened was a bit of sensitivity with the tint at the very end. No rashes or angry skin around the eyes! Emi made sure to tell me each step of the way what she was doing and how long things needed to stay on. She stayed in the room during the lift wait time and the tint wait time, and started small talk so I wouldn't be nervous. Great service and great outcome! Love my lashes!!

I dislike the 'crimped' look of my standard eyelash curler, but hate how long it takes to use my Panasonic heated lash curler. Finally, I found Emi's lash lift service on Groupon.. and I think I can say that my life is changed! Emi was professional and took extra time to make sure my finnicky lashes were set properly, despite my endlessly teary eyes. There was a tiny bit of stinging during the application of the perming lotion, but it went away, and I haven't noticed any change in my eyesight (that was something I was very worried about). Emi made sure I was comfortable with the entire process! I am ecstatic about my lashes- I have officially 'retired' my eyelash curler, and only use a tiny tiny amount of mascara (lest my lashes look like unnatural falsies). Every email she sent left me feeling more upset than the last, and I didn't want that kind of energy leading up to my wedding. Rather than seeking a fair resolution or any of my money back I chose to just pay her the remaining balance owed, take the services she was willing to give me, and then never talk to her again. To you, Kelli: I get that you deal with a lot of weddings and contracts all the time. But for me, this was my wedding. It was a very special day for me. And I wanted to be able to talk to you, as a real person and as the artist that you claim to be. Instead, I got a cold robot who quoted the contract at me every time I tried to have an open conversation about what I needed. It made me feel like we were at odds instead of being on the same team. There is a difference between being direct and being abrasive. You can be direct and still be friendly. In the end, when I told you I was upset and why, the attempt you made at having a warm, positive tone came across as insincere and condescending. Also, the fact that you didn't even check your own contract before mis-quoting it at me repeatedly added a whole new layer of confusion to our already frustrating communications. UPDATE: A day or two after I posted this review Kelli emailed me reminding me of a clause in my contract regarding reviews and asking me to take this review down. (Everything else that was said in her long email just solidly reinforced my previous experience of her.) I was aware of the clause and am not in breach of it, so will not be removing my review. It makes you wonder though, if there have been other poor reviews that went unposted due to that clause.
