The sugaring experience is a little different from waxing but I've found it to be much less irritating and I feel like it keeps me smoother longer. During my first appointment they walked me through how sugaring was different from waxing and what to expect. Abby has created an amazing atmosphere here, she is very kind and welcoming along with all the great estheticians here. I've gotten sugared by several people and have always had a really wonderful experience. The space and rooms are always clean and have a very warm and welcoming vibe. I'm rating the service I received, not the environment. The person who waxed me was kind, and the company's website says she has four years of experience. However, as someone who has been getting waxed regularly for over a year (about twice a month), I was honestly shocked by the quality of the service. During my appointment, the same area was waxed multiple times--far more than it should have been--which left my skin irritated. I chose not to point out the areas that were missed after the appointment because the same spots had already been waxed repeatedly and I didn't want to risk even more irritation. I checked out, said the service was okay, paid the usual $40, and left. When I got home, I had to tweeze about 16 hairs from my upper lip myself and heavily moisturize my skin to calm the irritation and redness. While the staff was kind and the space was clean, the quality of the work was extremely disappointing and far below what I expected from a professional service.
