Caroline's spa is located in a cute residential neighborhood next to Hawthorne, so parking was a breeze. I was coming in to do an ance facial and feeling a bit nervous (extractions can be painful and no one likes the idea of their skin potentially being judged- which has happened to me before!) Thankfully, Caroline was so sweet and knowledgeable. She gave great tips about what my skin needs and how to care for it long term. She explained every step and why she was doing what she was doing. I felt cared for and relaxed! The results were amazing! So much less congestion and two of my zits are already almost faded. Two things to note is that the email on the website didn't work for me. So if you're trying to contact her, use the phone number on the website. We also had a little mix up with my payment, but she was very apologetic and called me immediately to get it sorted out. I don't understand the rave reviews - so perhaps my experience was one-off. First there were a bunch of people in the front room, getting pedicures and didn't feel like a "spa" at all - more like someone's living room and I was interrupting. When I did get my facial, before it even started, she began telling me about another package I could get. I was on-time I should mention, and my treatment lasted about 45 minutes. Perhaps the "hour" includes their setup/cleanup time? I just felt like my treatment was a complete waste of her time and mine, not to mention a waste of money. With all the time she spent trying to SELL ME MORE treatments, she could have spent it actually doing something with my face. I will say the room WAS beautiful, and nicely decorated. I expected more I'm afraid, and won't be back. read more

I love this place. It's fantastic. Both Caroline and Heather are amazing women who do a fantastic job. I have visited Bali Spa for facials, waxing, and even eyelash tinting! I love that they use Dr. Haushka products, and the holistic approach to skin care. I started going to see Caroline three years ago, and my skin is gorgeous because of the work she does and the products they use. The space is very intimate, with a gorgeous tub. The location is closer to Belmont than Hawthorne in SE, but is super easy to get to, especially if you bus, like I do. I think the prices appropriate, and when you go, you are are the only person they're working on, so you definitely feel pampered. Oh, and I love that the table is always warm. :) The ladies are a hoot. Always sweet and in a good mood. I never feel awkward or weird. And they're okay if I just relax and am quiet or if I'm chatty. I absolutely recommend Bali Spa, and often bring my mom when she's visiting. read more

Wow!!! I won a free Hydra-Facial gift certificate in a drawing at my gym and I cant believe my skin! I had never heard of this treatment but when I arrived I was welcomed and put at ease. It feels like a cat licking your face, only nice, and I can't believe the difference in my skin. My skin feels as soft as a baby's (it is now five days later) and the brown spots are lighter after and wrinkles really reduced. Iv'e had lots of facials but this one really is deep. . I was in town visiting and came across Jordan and her polarity/craniosacral practice at Bali Spa. That happens to be the exact combo of healing arts that my mom practiced for over 30 years. I grew up getting sessions from her and many of her colleagues, the masters of the art, so I am very familiar with the work and different practitioners' styles. However, since my mom's death two years ago I'd not had any energy work done so I took the opportunity to see Jordan. Great call. I was very impressed with her as a person and her skills as a healer. In one session she worked with me to open up some energy that had been really blocked and gave me thoughtful "homework" to continue the healing after I left. The only thing I didn't like is that she's in PDX, not LA! Lucky for me she sometimes visits. I look forward to more sessions with such an exceptional woman and healer. I'm a skeptical, science minded type but I can tell you there is real benefit in this gentle but powerful energy work.
