Our family has LOVED Foundations Christian Academy. The school has a small family feel to it, which…read morehas allowed our kindergartener to feel at home since day one. The kindergarten teacher has been absolutely fantastic with our child & communicating with us as parents. Her patience, kindness, & character reflect a great example of Godly character to the children in her classroom. Our child has enjoyed school & thrived at this school, so much so that she has her sibling excited to start school next year. We appreciate the small class sizes, but we mostly enjoy seeing the school encourage our child to grow in a firmly rooted relationship with God. There were some changes that happened this last school year; the amazing part has been how the staff, the parents, & even the students pulled together to not just get past the changes but to come out of them with a stronger sense of teamwork, commitment to the school, & focus on God. Foundations Christian Academy has exceeded our expectations for a small Christian school & we would highly recommend that any family looking for a school with a firm Biblical foundation look into this school.

I hesitated writing this review but I feel I am doing a disservice to potential families by not…read moredoing so. We have been at FCS since the school opened until February 2025. Throughout this time, we have seen a lot of growing pains and changes, but this comes with having a brand new school. Bullying was very bad for my son and despite constant communication and concerns on my part, the school ignored it due to the parent being part of the school board. I had to threaten leaving the school for them to even reply to a phone call or email. My daughter then started kindergarten there and at that time, had a wonderful teacher. Then, began 1st grade and was being physically bullied by a boy larger and older than her. Again, nothing done about it besides "talking to the child". No reach out to the parents. Again, I had to threaten leaving the school and contacting the board of education for them to respond to my emails. Bullying is NOT taken care of here. There is a "moms group" here who have basically taken over the school and are on the board so as to control how things are done, despite being unqualified to do so. It is so bad that the founder of the school, Brad, was pushed out by these women due to him suspending one of their kids for derogatory statements, writing, ect. He had to resign immediately due to the growing tension between him and the board/school moms who work there. This group is incredibly cliquey and I often felt looked down on and judged. Bullying will NOT be taken seriously here. Since Brad had been gone, that left the entire 5-8th grade without a qualified teacher and left them with the moms trying to teach them and a Pastor coming in trying to run the school. We also had been told that my son, who is incredibly intelligent, was failing constantly and there were no resources to do any sort of special accommodations for him re: taking tests, breaks, ect. We have finally pulled our kids out this February and are at a new Christian school in the area and my son went from "failing" to ALL A's in every class. Kids need environments where they are uplifted, encouraged, and taught appropriately. This school completely failed my kids and us as parents. Since we have left, there have been at least 6-8 children total who have since left as well, out of 30 something total kids. It is alarming what is going on. I am not the only one - the others just haven't done reviews yet. My son even asked if he could attend chapel one day since they have an open invite to others who want to join- we were just told "no". Obviously now theyre holding grudges against parents who choose to do whats best for their own children. I cant believe this school calls themselves "christian".
