My sons have been attending Zoom music classes for over 7 months and it's been great to see how much they have already learned. They are taking clarinet and ukulele lessons and both of their instructors, Justin and Joey, have been so patient and positive with both kids. My older son is 14 and he's currently in band at school, however he is taking lessons to refine his skills. I can't imagine teaching music while on video, so I certainly commend them! We absolutely love Roos Music School. What an incredible find, right here in San Clemente. Our 4-year-old daughter started with piano lessons, and her instructor, Grace, has been just wonderful, so sweet and patient. And then more recently, our daughter started voice lessons each week as well (in addition to piano), with Marisa, yet another fabulous, super-fun instructor there. Liz Roos has been such a pleasure to work with. She is exceptionally attentive to details, matching students with the best instructor, helping kids (especially little ones) feel comfortable, and really pays attention to individual interests, ability/talent, and goals. You can tell she really cares. After our daughter walked past a student on a drum kit with wide-eyed excitement, Liz helped set up her first drum lesson, which she loved every second of. Lastly, the facility itself is impressive and very clean. Anyone apprehensive due to COVID should rest assured that they are taking all the necessary steps and best precautions to ensure things are sanitized and clean. They have cameras and screens in every room with quality equipment and instruments. Go check it out and let your joy for making music come to life. My 7YO (ukulele) and 5YO (electric guitar) have been taking lessons for almost 7 months and have greatly enjoyed their experience at Roos Music. I showed up to play a gig in San Clemente tonight. The drummer showed up, we were all coming from a far away place in Los Angeles County, and he realized he left his stick bag at his last gig. My 10 year old daughter was interested in taking up ukulele so she could play Riptide by Vance Joy. She was playing Riptide by the end of the first lesson. She has now been playing ukulele under Josh's instruction at Roos Music Studio in San Clemente since October 2017. She has come so far in a short amount of time. She plays her favorite song, Riptide fluently as well a many other songs. She can read music and loves playing at home. Josh is patient, kind and an excellent instructor. First off the owner Liz is excellent, She clearly loves what she does and is super helpful. All the teachers are friendly and knowledgeable as well.
