Once he confirmed it was repairable, he quickly cut the string, replaced the tuner, and got everything back in place. The whole process took less than 10 minutes! I cannot say enough great things about Kenny & his colleagues. I personally get my lesson from John and he is super patient and truly wants his students to learn & make the most of their lesson. I have been to other guitar teachers outside of Kenny's and have only left the lesson frustrated and completely unmotivated bc learning guitar can be pretty daunting. Everytime I leave my lesson w/ John @ Kenny's, I am super stoked to go home and practice- it's no doubt the highlight of my week ! I appreciate him bc he will explain why something sounds the way it does, why it should be played a certain way, etc. Guitar makes so much more sense when you have a teacher who is passionate about the instrument and knows it inside & out. He taught me how to read notes- as opposed to guitar tab- and I am thankful for this bc ideally I would love to pick up the violin again and eventually learn to play other instruments. Anywho, if you have any doubts about taking lessons from John or going to Kenny's, just give it a try ! You will be happy you did. If you don't play an instrument, you are depriving yourself of one of the greatest experiences life has to offer. OK enough with my preaching... obviously I am so happy everyone from Guitar Center referred me to this place. FYI: you typically have a half-hour lesson per week & pre-pay for the month (4 lesson package.) Kenny also sells instruments, books, picks, etc @ reasonable prices. DO IT NOW !!! read more

Kenny's Music has made such an impact on my daughter's guitar playing, and an overall impact on her interest in music. She has been taking lessons with John for the last few months and has made great strides forward. She is excited to go to her lesson every week and can hardly wait to get home to show me the latest skill or song she's learned. I am so impressed with Kenny's because this is the first time my daughter has been so interested and eager to learn more. Thank you, John, for your love of music, your deep caring for your students and their progress week to week, and for your extremely well developed patience level. read more
