Absolute incredibly fun bar on main st Lake Placid. The only true nightclub to enjoy great music, great drinks, and great dancing. Highly recommend stopping in and trying a cocktail made by one of Roomers awesome bartenders. read more

Imagine this. It's New Year's Eve. You're minding your own business playing a game of darts with your spouse. All is well. A random stranger comes up to you, asks if they can have the darts, and when you tell them that you're still in the middle of a game, you get punched in the face??? Huh? Seems weird right? Well here's what's weirder. After explaining the situation to the bouncer, they don't do anything because "we have bigger problems right now" ... Understandable I guess, but as time passed, it became very evident that no one was going to resolve the issue and kick said person out. The bigger issue had long been resolved, and as we walked out the bouncers were dealing with 0 issues and the perpetrator was enjoying himself on the dance floor. It is very disheartening that this place is attached to golden arrow. The resort & generations restaurant are excellent, but this nightclub is an absolute joke of an establishment. Stay away at all costs. Unless you don't mind getting punched in the face. If you do, this is the place for you! read more

CASH ONLY. There are not too many bars in Lake Placid. In fact, there are only two. Zig Zags was my speed, a divey pool bar with solid craft beers on tap. Roomers is definitely a nightclub. You walk down into a sweaty dungeon with music blasting, low ceilings, and a cash-only bar that serves up overpriced cocktails and macro beer. Corona seemed to be the beer of choice. There's an ATM inside with a high fee just for reference. There was dancing, but with limited floor space, not much real dancing could be accomplished. Bizarre "VIP" tables of sorts are sectioned off to the side. Everywhere else was wall to wall people. You could barely hear yourself speak. Overall, I get the draw of a place like this. But it wasn't for me. read more

The BoomBoom room is definitely thick with attitude from the crowds and the people who work there. Be careful how you talk to the tenders cause they have some serious bite. Also be aware of some of the bouncers there tweakers and fly off the handle for wrong reason. One of them actually put hands on me as I was calmly sitting sippin my drink. THE bar to go to in Lake Placid. For the calmer crowd, there is a side room for pool. For the dancing crowd, there is ample space to rage. Each night brings a very entertaining and very diverse crowd of bar-goers. read more

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. My best friend held her wedding in Lake Placid and we ventured over to Roomers for the after party. Service was 10/10. Drinks (amount of liquor) were 10/10. Music was 10/10 (they let us control it). They allowed us to schedule a delivery of 10 PIZZA PIES to be there upon arrival from a place down the street (saved more lives than you would think.) To TOP IT OFF, I "accidently" left my entire purse there containing my Credit Cards, License, keys, Metrocard aka my entire existence. Being that I live in the NYC metro area and had to leave first thing the next morning, returning to Roomers to retrieve my items was out of the cards for me. After sliding into their DMs on instagram, I was met quickly with a response offering to mail my items to me which i received a few days later. Everything arrived safely and in tact. Roomers hosted an event I put together for college students and alumni during their stay in Lake Placid over MLK weekend. Rob, the owner, was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Quite a pleasure to work with. The location is right in the center of Main Street - easy access for everyone attending. There were pool tables, darts, great music and great service. Drink prices were affordable and it was a great place to go after a day on the slopes to relax and unwind. read more

This place is trash, it's 11:11 and it's empty and the DJ is playing shit music. I think he has Tourette's. This place is a joke for being a "club" they don't play a a lot of dance music it seems he plays whatever his stoner buddies wants. read more

Went there with my buddy at a time when NOTHING was going on in the town. With that said, there was still a good amount of people in here with some good looking girls so I can only imagine it's even better during summer or winter with all the people on vacations and such. The price for drinks was a little high but the bartender and ppl there were nice and my drinks were strong so I was pumped about that. The music on that particular night was 70's and 80's I believe but everyone was there jamming out and having a good time. The inside of the place was nothing to write home about but again, this was the place (as I was lead to believe) where everyone goes. Check it out. read more

I don't normally review any bar or restaurant on Yelp or any social media outlets but I couldn't let this one go. This place is NO night club. This is a shady dive bar that smells of mildew and sweat. They only except CASH in a society that pays majority with credit. This raises a ton a red flags to me and either the bartender is stealing or the owner is. Tax evasion written all over this hell hole. They are also charging almost $10 for a single shot of well vodka. WTF. This isn't NYC or LA so please check yourself. I have been involved in restaurants my entire life, so please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Go to Zig Zags or Smoke Signals where they won't rip you off. read more

We heard good things about this place the first time we came to Lake Placid but wasn't able to go so we went for July 4th with a large group. It wasn't popping until after midnight so in the beginning, it was easy to play pool, etc. but in the end, it was a great time. No frills, really cheap shots ($3), tasty pickle backs, darts, foosball, dancing ... no dress code or cover like NYC :) read more

Stepping into this place is like stepping into a time machine with one stop....the 90s! For those of us who we're old enough to remember music from the 90's it is such a guilty pleasure. We went here while on vacation in Lake Placid. This place attracts a mixed crowd including college kids, vacationers, and townies. The music is rockin' and. PLEASE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!! My daughter was Assaulted by an older local woman there last week-Thrown to the ground and choked ( it's in the police's hands now). Bar owner/manager wanted to give my daughter and her friends free drinks to make everything go away but she called the police instead. The owner/manager then told my daughter and her friends to get the f$&@ out and did not cooperate when the police came. I love Lake Placid and own a home there but I am warning all tourists to stay away. Let the local folks support this bar!! read more

I went there too early to get a good idea of what the crowd is like. The bar is very nice, it looks like this place could be hopping with some dancing and shenanigans later on in the night. When I went at 9:00 on a friday, it was dead. But apparently at 12 there is a line out the door. So I guess this is a last stop. The prices were reasonable, but nothing special. The crowd at the time was a mix between young and older. If you want to dance this is probably your best bet. read more

The bar opened at 8. There was alot of room, and they also gave out free popcorn. Overall a pretty good experiences. But the DJ played the same type of Nickelback/white stripes music most of the night. read more

great place to have fun and let loose...the staff was warm and friendly(unlike the snooty bartender at liguids and solids!).We left our very expensive cannon camera by accident and the owner held it for us the next day. What a very honest and commendable thing to do.....plus he has an awesome dog, who was just as friendly as the staff! read more

I saw a girl get pushed to the ground by the bouncers. They were forcibly removing her and calling her horrible named because she was rude to one of their "friends". I don't know how small towns are but this is one of the worst. Never go to this bar you will be treated like a piece of meat. read more

this is the place to go if you want to party with people who could be your parents. or watch as 50 year old men try to pick up 20 somthing girls, and watch how much you pay for drinks all the bartenders charge differnt prices, and as far as music it is a hit or miss read more
