So since i couldn't reply to the response to my last review i am leaving another and would like an answer from meg s . For 6.20 you get less than 3/4 of the large cold brew cup filled and rooks response is because i asked for it black (if you ask for light ice you get even less) . So they say its because of there ratio of cold brew for there recipe and that you get the same amount if cold brew nomatter what . Why not just have another measurment for when people dont order ice or dairy ? This way you actually get more cold brew as intended with the order for such an expensive price just like other coffee places do? read more

Stopped here on my way to a class. Simple and pleasant experience. It's in a strip mall, so plenty of parking. Bright, modern, clean venue. Service was fast & friendly. Didn't try any of their pastries, or pre-packaged stuff, but it's there. They only do hot or cold coffee, they do NOT do espresso's, which kinda sucked. I'm a big espresso guy. Rating: 1/5 I stopped in today for a cold brew and made a simple request, no ice. The cashier immediately warned me that the cup would only be filled about 3/4 full and would be a little short because of it. I've ordered cold brew without ice at countless shops and have never once been penalized with less coffee especially since cold brew is already sold as a concentrate or full-strength product where ice just dilutes it. Charging the same price for less product feels cheap and disappointing. When I got my 3/4-filled cup, I figured maybe the flavor would salvage the experience. It did not. The cold brew was overwhelmingly bitter, no smoothness, no chocolatey or nutty notes, just harsh, over-extracted bitterness that lingered. Undrinkable even after trying to add my own milk at home. I considered going back to ask for a refund or a remake, but honestly, after the ice interaction and that first sip, I had zero confidence the next one would be any better. First time I've ever left a coffee shop feeling ripped off and stuck with a bad drink. Avoid. read more

Stumbled upon this place yesterday and got the Italian Rainbow Cookie cold brew with cream, and they really nailed the flavor! It tastes just like the cookie. I love all the options they have for drinks such as making a cold brew latte style, I didn't even notice that was an option until after I ordered but I'd definitely try that next time. Coffee shops are becoming scarce as the chains take over. A nice alternative to Starbucks, Rooke offers the small shop experience with the fast chain feel. They grind your beans and brew it for you as you order. Hence there is a slight bit of a wait for your coffee regardless of time that you go. Only issue is the coffee was very watered down. Coffee should have a kick. This one did not. The taste was good. Food is the usual fare. Got a raspberry scone. It was delicious. Definitely worth a try. I will be back. read more

Non Pretentious- Non Hipster cliche type place. High Quality Coffee beans and brews and prices are reasonable compared to how much Dunkin and Starbucks charge. My go to is the New Orleans blend but many of their flavored coffees are superstars. Service is always good and staff is laid back and personable. I think it's the best quality coffee in the state. 5 Stars! read more

I was truly disappointed with my coffee not what I expected at all. It was my first time here. There was very limited options in the iced latte, and I chose this one because there really wasn't much options. I went here to try their mocha coconut but they did not have it, so she gave me the mocha iced with coconut milk. For the price I thought the coffee latte will be better and it wasn't. My hubby did like his hot coffee, but when he tried mines he did not like it. The pineapple danish was good. Now the coffee is strong, so if you don't ask them to make it correctly, or you ask for black, don't be surprised if it's super strong/bitter. It's not dunkin lol. It's real coffee that is prepped and served as such. The mocha iced coffee with almond milk and light sugar is a great taster and wake up call! Let me first say that the iced coffee I got was very good, that is once I got home and was able to put it in a glass. Unfortunately, the staff member who prepared my coffee had some kind of hand cream or perfume on their hand and it transferred to the cup, which transferred to my hands. When I picked the cup up to my mouth the smell was quite strong and if I wasn't already 10 minutes from the store I definitely would have gone back for a new cup. What concerns me about this is that there clearly wasn't any hand washing happening or this would not have happened. It was 2pm on March 1 at the Point Pleasant location. This cafe was such a cute place to go to! My friend took me here saying I had to try this place out and she was right! The coffee here was really good you could taste the coffee. It isn't bitter as well. The coffee I got wasn't sweet at all so if you would prefer a sweeter coffee I would suggest to add more syrup. But other then that the interior was excellent as well. However, if I were to choose between purchasing coffee from Starbucks, DD, or Rook, I would choose Rook anytime! Environment: The stores have a great vibe- interior and exterior are welcoming. One downside is that there is no place to really sit. It is more of a grab and go type of experience. On most days, a grab and go will suffice, but sometimes I would like an option to just sit and enjoy the coffee and weather (that is why I deducted 1 star). Service: Always great! The people who work here always have one thing in common: they are absolutely so friendly. They are doing a good job during the pandemic (customers just coming in for their order/utilizing their app only for orders). I especially love their cinnamon vanilla style coffee but just realized that it is only seasonal and it's gone now :( please bring it back all year round! Big fan of the iced NOS (New Orleans Style) with cream. The chicory gives a a chocolatey taste without the sugar. So good! Fresh roasted and ground, this coffee is the real deal. Bags of coffee and the cold brew concentrates are great for home as well! read more
