I told him that I was waiting to get the estimate from the insurance adjuster and I need to get multiple quotes from contractors before deciding. After he learned that I wouldn't give him the job without consulting with other people he just decided to leave. I asked him why he wouldn't look at the house and he told my insurance adjuster to the face that I already have a contractor. He then told me to my face that he wasn't going to estimate the job just so my friend could do the job off of his estimate. He would not even give me a business card and left. My girlfriend not believing how rude he was called him the next day personally. He told her the same thing it was extremely rude on the phone. He said that he would not deal with us as customers and only our insurance company. My opinion is that he was going to try and get as much money out of my insurance company as possible and do the repair first cheaply as possible and pocket the rest. Bill ruined any chance that SMB had for getting this job. The job was quoted for over $40,000 worth of damage. I can only hope that SMB finds this review and talks to Bill about why he was so unprofessional and rude. Called and spoke with the owner of SMB and asked for a copy of the work done. I explained I was selling the house and just wanted a copy of what was done.
