I have ever heard or witnessed such unprofessional, unsafe, and disruptive work. They covered my kitchen window without notifying me. They have a man on a roof above my bathroom window so I cannot use my bathroom with privacy, again, without making me aware this would happen. There is a man on the next door roof that is not using any kind of harness or safety equipment. Furthermore, I have heard the leader/boss scream at his employees now for an hour. He is constantly screaming at them for urgency but then screaming at them with corrections/frustration as soon as they do anything. They are making a truly inconsiderate and extreme amount of noise with their every action, even considering the fact that they're roofing. Slamming, dropping, dragging, screaming.

Communication was poor, and I constantly had to monitor the work to make sure it was done correctly. Their crew repeatedly tried to cut corners, and if I hadn't been watching closely, they would have left me with subpar results. The most concerning part was that they attempted to charge me an extra $3,500 for work that was never actually done. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of me, and I had to call them out multiple times to get things corrected. In the end they still charge me an additional $1000 for an extra hour or 2 of work and a couple 4x4s in supplies. To top it off, someone from the company even offered me $250 in exchange for a positive review -- which makes me question the legitimacy of all their 5-star ratings online. I went with Mandette Roofing Plus because of their great reviews, but after my experience, I would strongly advise others to proceed with extreme caution. Unless you have time to take off work and watch them every step of the way through the repair, you're better off finding a different company that has a higher level of integrity than this one.

Neglectful Workers from the Roofa installed tongue and groove roof sheathing "tongue to tongue" and "groove to groove". Manufacturer specification for this product stipulate tongues must go into grooves during installation. They did not bother to construct my roof properly because they were in such a rush to finish in a day. Combative Afterwards, the business owner came to my home, inspected the finished project, and gave it a passing grade. Following my discovery of the faulty workmanship, I gave this business the opportunity to make things right but they refused and advised I should hire somebody else. When I would not choose the contractor they wanted me to, the business owner attempted to wedge himself between us and the new contractor we hired in order to negotiate a better price for himself. It is my firm belief this business was not honest with me and I do not believe they will care about providing quality workmanship for your roof that you protect your family with either. Unprofessional In my opinion, the workers sent to my home by the Roofa did not fit any of the descriptions found on the company website which promises consumers "Service with Integrity" and a "team of experts". It also makes claims of an "experienced staff" that is "highly knowledgeable". They rushed through the job and it came out absolutely terrible. They also left thier jackets behind and I found my kids going through the pockets the next morning. Total Slobs In addition to the jackets, we found discarded phone charger cords, cigarrette butts, what appeared to by the remnants of drug parapheneilia, and other junk all left by the side of a private road that I share with my neighbors. We are still finding little bits of shingle trimmings in the gardens.

Maine ProRoofing was actually the third contractor I contacted, the first was out of town, the…read moresecond, Erie, was a con job who wanted $45K for a mod bit rubber roof for an area of 15 squares. Mike Fox from Maine Proofing came out, walked on the roof, saw the existing patchwork and leaky vents that had been caulked some time ago. He agreed that there was enough slope for a metal roof. I chose a dark blue, standing (hidden) seam. I learned that the roofing was supplied by Maine Amish. I was happy to buy from a local source. Once the dumpster arrived, he and the crew got the job done in three days. The sheathing was intact and did not need replaced. I decided to have the shingles removed, and that was done. He and the crew installed new boots for the vent and caulked them--one of the old ones had a large hornet's inside! They installed a high temp ice and water shield over the whole roof. This was covered by a snap lock standing seam metal roof, 19 gauge, I think. They installed rake trim along the rakes and the gable ends complete with starter J channel, and Z closures at the cap installation, and used Geosill and butylene sealing tape where needed. The debris was cleaned up, at least 99%. I'm happy. I did not get the chance to borrow their ladder to take pics, but my stepson went up and confirmed that it was well done.
