I would NOT recommend this company for the following reasons. I had a section of my mom's roof replaced by Ronstadt Roofing. The workers were unprofessional and did poor, sloppy workmanship. My mistake was not being at home when the work was done. The workers moved materials from the front of the house to the back, lifting them in the front and walking back and forth on a roof that was not being replaced. This will shorten the life of the original roof. The gate was left wide open for their workers. When the work was completed, I received a text with poor quality pictures of the job informing me that the work is completed. The work was rushed and poorly done. When I went up to inspect their work, I was shocked by how they left the roof there were bumps everywhere, plywood seem not properly nailed down (not solid when walking over couple of spots), and nails were missing on the ridge cap where they had reworked it. What if I didn't know how to get on the roof? How many clients have they done this to? When I called Kevin (the son), he told me this was normal and tried to brush off the poor workmanship. After insisting that they return to remedy the situation, they did but without properly informing me. I had to call and was told they were already on their way. I left work to meet with the workers and showed them the issues. The worker said he would tell his boss about the problems and began reworking the roof to try to flatten the bumps. The problem with this is that it further shortens the life of the roof by reheating the material and forcefully rolling it flat. After the workers left, the ridge caps were still not nailed down, which is a serious issue because this area is very windy. The corner where a valley runs down the roof is still terrible and looks even worse, with creases in the roofing material. I finally spoke with the owner (the father), and he refused to remedy the poor workmanship, stating, "At this point, I feel I won't be able to satisfy you." the roof is flatter with the rework now besides the valley near the ridge caps. Both the father and son refused to go to the property to look in person the work done. Refusing to remedy the valley bumps, the missing nails at ridge caps and the plywood issue. This was a terrible experience, and I wanted to share my story to warn others. read more

10 Stars! From start to finish, dealing with Ronstadt Roofing was a pleasure. Rick (owner) came out for our initial meeting. He was here on time! We discussed my roofing issues in detail. He immediately earned my respect and trust with his knowledgeable and honest recommendations. He generously provided two courses of action with accompanying bids. While I was considering the options, I had some questions. I emailed Rick and he responded very property with detailed answers. I never felt rushed dealing with Rick and he took whatever time I need to help me make my decision. I made the decision to have a complete reset of my existing tile roof to alleviate any future problems. After all, the roof was 33 years old. I emailed Rick and he instructed me on returning the contract. He said he would contact me in the future for a possible start date. His services are in high demand because of his excellent work so the start date was some time out, but that was fine with me because his work is well worth the wait! The initial date had to be postponed and Rick was excellent with his communication. A new date was chosen and his guys arrived literally an hour and 15 minutes early! Wow! Throughout the project which took 6 days the crew was courteous, productive, hardworking and efficient. The quality of their work was outstanding and very detail oriented. These guys were roofing my house as if it was their own and it showed! If I had an occasional request or concern they would accommodate me immediately. They cleaned up all around the house each and every day. It was a very messy project and the challenges of high winds did not deter them. First let me apologize to Rick and his crew for the delay in my review, I am so very sorry! I needed a complete tear off and roof and got 4 estimates, two of which were very close in price. I chose Ronstadt Roofing and have yet to regret any portion of my decision. First of all Rick is very kind and a great listener, he does not forget one concerns or requests. My foremost and biggest concern was my landscape being damaged, the pigmy palms and sagos are very close to the house and the pitch of roof is steep, it was why I put off the roofing as long as I did. In meeting with Rick I expressed my concerns and asked if I buy 2x6 boards can we somehow place them to help protect my plants? His replied let me think on this I will come up with a solution. I trusted he would and he did! My roof was completed in May of 2018 ( yes I know it's August I'm so sorry) it was on schedule, actually done a day early and is absolutely perfect! My son's home had a leaking roof and had damage to the ceiling in the children's bed room. I had used Ronstadt roofing years ago and was very pleased with the work and thoroughness. The insurance adjuster just ran a drone over the roof and said only one or two tiles needed to be replaced at ~$50. This with the interior room fix wax estimated around $3000 (under the deductible). Ronstadt came out within 48 hours after calling, got on the roof and found extensive damage with a repair cost of $550 for the roof. (Total still under deductible). As more heavy rain was expected, Ronstadt came out and repaired the next day and there was heavy rain the day after, saving further damage to the interior. It had been several weeks now and Southern California had been inundated with rain. Can say how much the timely responsiveness of Ronstadt roofing was appreciated. read more

I was reluctant to write this glowing review because I don't want to share this AMAZING company. If you're looking for a fantastic, reliable, and price-competitive roofer--look no further. I recommend Ronstadt Roofing without hesitation. We requested quotes from multiple companies and not only did Rick's price quote come in far more competitive than the others, he was willing to work around our schedule (weekends and evenings) in order to minimize the inconvenience that the re-roofing process would cause. He parceled out the project into multiple segments so that not only could we pay for this very large job incrementally, we could also do so in a way that caused the least disruption to our business. Rick was well-versed and informative when it comes to roofing; he listened to our design concerns as well as our needs and desire for energy efficiency and made recommendations appropriately. Rick's team is amazing! They are courteous and polite, clean and careful, safe and meticulous with their work. They arrived promptly each morning at 6:30 a.m. and cleaned the entire site each day at 4. Their reliability was admirable and made it very easy for us to know exactly what to expect. They protected our stucco siding from falling debris and covered all foliage and surfaces with tarp to make sure the debris made it to the bin instead of scattered across the property. When the debris bin needed to be on the lawn, they made sure to put down protective plyboard to ensure the weight did not leave divots in our grass. While the cool roofs look BEAUTIFUL (and will save us money on cooling costs this summer), I expected that. What I did not expect was how thorough their cleanup would be. They comb over the lawns, sidewalks, driveways, and planters to make sure that all traces of their work are on the roof and not the ground. This extra detail made me feel very confident that I won't be stepping on nails for months to come. After another roofing company took my money and said they fixed the roof leak which they did not. They refused to come out and fix it and said call someone else. I called Ronstadt Roofing and he came out and gave me three options to stop the leak. 1. Cut the roof valley wider so rain would flow better.. 2. Remove the tiles and find where the leak is and replace the felt.. 3. Both of the above.. I chose option 3. A few days later the roofer came out and was very professional and knowledgable. He did what was promised and even replaced several broken tiles which were not near the leak area. The last few days we have had hard rains and the leak is fixed! No more water running down the wall. Had a leak in my roof when we had all that rain end of November. I had seen on my Neighborhood app prior to this a couple different people who recommended Ronstadt when someone was looking for a roofer so I saved the info in case I needed one eventually. They were so good and did my repair with a price I felt was very fair. I would definitely recommend them for honest and good workmanship. The only negative thing I will say is the amount of time it took for them to finally come out to do my quote was a bit long, however, it was a very busy rain time and I know they had so many repairs ahead of mine. They did make me aware of the wait so I could have called another company but really wanted to use them so I chose to wait and I am glad I did. read more
