I see Ron's Mini Cooper driving around Lodi one day and I think the tint looks great. I've been wanting to get my windows tinted, but most shops make pricing really difficult and offer so many options so I didn't have time to really do research. So I txt the number on the Mini Cooper, tell him I have a 2015 Jetta and I wanted a tint that was as dark as legally possible. He gets back to me right away and says "$185, any shade, lifetime warranty". Sounds great, right?! I told him I would text him soon to schedule an appointment. My boyfriend happens to stumble upon a Lodi Discount Card with some local businesses on it and sees Ron's window tinting, so he buys one for me since I'm planning to use Ron's services. It says "Ron's Window Tinting. Call us for SPECIAL PRICES". So I send a photo of the card to Ron and tell him I'm ready to set something up and ask what the price is with the card and he responds with $195. Which is $10 higher than what I was quoted without the discount card. So I ask him why and he says that the pricing I received previously was for the winter. No problem. So I ask how much of a discount I'm getting with the card and he says "we don't do discounts, we're not that kind of shop". SO WHY ARE YOU ON THE LODI DISCOUNT CARD???? Most importantly, they absolutely honor their workmanship warranty. I had my vehicle tinted in July of 2015 and recently noticed three small bubbles appearing on the rear window! Walked in (with my original paperwork) and set up a drop off date and time. Three days later had new tint applied to the faulty window at absolutely no cost! We needed our brand new 2018 Honda accord touring vehicle tinted. I went to Ron's a few years ago and they did a great job on my Acura. My new car has so many windows that are long. The heat from the sun and causes the car to get way too hot. Ron put on the ultra performance window tint film Now the steering wheel does not get hot neither does the dash or the back seating area. So when you call this place you get this ten minute spiel about how great this place is and how you can't trust other people who tint windows which is nice. Ron then goes over how his tint is of the highest caliber and you're excited to get your tint there. They book you for a Saturday appointment and you think since you have an appointment that your calr will be done in a timely fashion. There are literally other people there who are booked at that same time and they work through the cars. A few hours turned into 5 hours. The tint was good but the price you pay for the tint is not worth what you get for it. You get a discount if you post a positive review on the spot and this may account for why the scores are so high. read more

I took my bmw two years ago got a limo tint all around and it faded it a 30% which is very light and he said he would charge me 160 to remove it and add a new film that would fade again n two years but won't touch the front driver and passenger window cuz it was done illegally... we'll wtf u were the ones who tinted them! Clean shop. But, I had a frustrating experience just with getting a quote. I wonder if their business is going too well to care for clear and straight forward business. I called over the phone to get a general quote. Ron's call quality was pretty poor (sounded like he was on the road), I felt rushed because he spoke so quickly and I could barely understand him. I got the quote, but when I went in to get more information before getting services done... it was quite annoying. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked a basic question if the window tint that they are going to put on blocks some sun heat. Ron's son slick talks me, introduced me to all their other types of tint products that blocks Infra-red heat completely, etc. I told him I wasn't interested in all that, and just wanted to know if their basic tint blocks some heat like my current car's tint. I felt like a bait and switch situation at a used car sales lot. Later he told me that the basic window tint quoted me over the phone he had not used on cars before and he cannot provide a warranty. But if I used a higher cost tint, then I would get a warranty. He then slipped information that if he used that same tint to tint my car "all around" then I would get warranty. But then I asked why my quote for 2 windows cannot get warranty if it is the same material? He then switched topics. That was quite annoying and I left. I don't doubt that their tint materials are good, but much over priced services. Sure, you "pay for what you get" but I'd recommend looking around and comparing prices if you want basic window tinting. Sure, if you want high end material, perhaps consider coming here. read more

[Background] I have only had one other car tinted before. The first time was facilitated by a dealer in Las Vegas. This time I brought my new car to Ron's Window Tinting. The dealership that sold me the new car referred me to Ron's Window Tinting - excellent choice! I pulled up to Ron's Window Tinting expecting to see a sketchy facility. Ron's location broke my stereotype of window tinting business. The building was clean, professional and spacious. The floor of the work area was immaculate and the office while not luxurious, was comfortable and clean. The work area was also brightly lighted and they seemed to have modern software and tools to get the job done right. In my opinion, Ron is helpful and very knowledgeable. So, it turns out that the Las Vegas dealer from my first tint years ago skimped on quality. I know this because of the excellent product information that Ron provided. I learned that aside from the darkness (privacy) provided by tint, varying qualities also provide: UV A/B protection Infrared Reflection Varying lifespan of adhesive (some peel less than others) Fade resistance (some turn purple or other colors). The coolest part was Ron showing me how a higher grade of tint actually blocks more of the direct heat from the sun. It made so much sense why the tint on my old car never really blocked any heat! My new car with my new tint from Ron's Window Tinting totally keeps my car so much cooler. I could tell a difference within the first couple of hours - amazing! I think they rushed the job because it only took about 90 minutes. But I was the only person there. My guess is that if they were busier it could take 2 - 3 hours. Thanks Ron! PS: Ron has had the same employees for a really long time, and his kids work there sometimes too. They are all as professional and friendly as Ron. PPS: I was reading about the guy with the warranty paperwork issue. The best way to make sure you are able to take advantage of a lifetime warranty is to take your warranty paperwork and SAVE IT in a folder in your car. Put ALL of your vehicle information (like your service paperwork, parts you buy, warranty documents) in that folder and keep it in your trunk or somewhere. read more

I'm shocked to see that there are any negative reviews about Ron's Window Tinting. I feel like some people need to pay a little more attention to their paperwork. (Possibly hang on to it?!?) Today I had a GREAT experience at Ron's Window Tinting. My husband called around 10:30am and got a quote for our car over the phone. Ron was able to get us in at noon. On a Saturday. I think that's unheard of! In the past (at other places) I had to make an appointment days in advance. I was very happy to be able to get a great price & also get in that very day. Trust me, we shopped around & Ron's was the best value for the quality of tinting in which he provides. I dropped my husband & 5 year old son off to pick up the car a couple hours later. Ron, being as critical as he is about his quality of work, had the side window re-tinted because there was a very small bubble that my husband didn't even notice with his own eye. And let me also point out, it was passed 2pm, which is their closing time on Saturday. How honorable to notice a flaw & make sure your staff takes the time to do it the way it should be done. No matter what time the shop closes. So, my husband & son had to wait a few more minutes. The staff & Ron himself were so friendly to my 5 year old that it made the time go by really fast for him. He even got a couple suckers to bring home to his little brother. Overall today was a remarkable experience. I highly recommend Ron's Window Tinting.
