Madd Beaver came to me as a reference, first off they showed up on time every time. Estimate started with being handed a copy of the company's liability insurance policy declaration page. So for those of you that don't know why this is such a big deal, there are 20-30 companies around the tri-state area operating without insurance or even proper licensing for every one that does it by the books. You have to hire a contractor that has the right insurance and policies in place, it goes hand in hand with experience and knowledge. After this was a walk through of the property, discussing options and a through explanation of how the area would be protected during work. I was given a verbal estimate and shook hands to seal the deal right then. This is how much confidence they built in their abilities. Price was not the highest but it was by far not the lowest. I believe you get what you pay for and short changing a big tree job to save a few thousand is not worth it. I was texted a start date and at 9am on that day they were outside and ready to go.
