I like the stylist who does the cutting. I enjoy the ambiance of the salon and the way the staff chat with one another. I'm 76. My hair is what it is, and it's one of the few aspects of my ancient body that I think looks good. Hair cutting is about the stylist and not the salon, and if my stylist decides to quit and go work somewhere else, I will follow her, but it looks like she's not going anywhere. Until I found this salon and this stylist, I used to drive 50 minutes north to a salon in Laguna Niguel. This one is closer. A week before the appointment I confirmed the appointment online and via text directly to the stylist. She asked if i had any inspo pics and I said I would look for one before the appointment. The night before my appointment, after not hearing from Chloe for a week, i got a threatening message basically telling me that because i have been unresponsive to multiple attempts to connect, if i didn't respond immediately my appointment would be given to someone else who has requested that time. I want to be very clear that I never missed a text from her and sent her screen shots and asked her what messages i missed, to which she back tracked and started saying that she was just nervous because people cancel a lot. The stylist and/or salon never communicated that inspiration pics were a requirements of booking the appointment. The stylist never followed up post confirming the appointment, not once. The stylist was really unprofessional in the way she engaged me, and end of day I told her to go ahead and give the appointment to someone else, I'll spend my money at a professional establishment. Really disappointing given i've been waiting for this appointment.

My older child has natural wavy hair. She told Wendy she wanted a butterfly cut with layers with the shortest layer being on her cheekbone. No pictures shown and I didn't even know what that meant but Wendy did exactly what my daughter wanted. Was seen quickly and my barber Henry gave me a great cut. Got a nice med skin fade. He always checked how I wanted it done and if I like how it was while cutting. At the end got a warm lather razer clean up. Got the hot towel and slight next shoulder massage. Great customer service from him and the rest of the staff. Good conversation and good people.
