Nice place in downtown Dedham with a good selection of flavors and a good atmosphere inside. My son and I enjoyed our ice cream and would come back.

I have been going to Ron's in Dedham for 30 years I think now. Irish coffee ice cream is excellent. They rarely change flavors which gets boring. They need a better vanilla like vanilla bean or french vanilla . I got a sundae and looks it got smaller than before ? Price seems high now at 9.95 for size. Young Girls, guys working there always friendly and efficient .

    Frozen pudding & strawberry (regular)

I came on a hot weekday afternoon and got a regular frozen pudding and strawberry in a cup. I'm not sure what I expected from the frozen pudding, but I wasn't a fan of it. It was kind of a custard with different pieces of fruit in it. On the other hand, the strawberry was pretty good, creamy, and flavorful. It's a small place, but it was bustling with orders online and a few other walk-ins while we sat to eat our ice cream. The workers are young, kind, and hard-working picking up each tub to scoop your ice cream. There are plenty of flavors to get, so if you're in the area and are craving ice cream Ron's is worth a try.

Very positive experience. The place was clean, and there were 4 individuals there ready to help. Kuddos to the young gentleman who was patient with me as I tried to nativigate their flavors and decide which coffee variation I wanted. I settled on Irish coffee, which was full of flavor and creamy. IBeing offered a sample sealed it for me as a number of shops no longer let you have a sample, which can mean you wind up ordering something that does not align with your palette

I went to Dedham for a massage - the place I usually go to in Quincy was solidly booked. This place was 2-3 doors next to the massage place and the sign 20 years homemade ice cream caught my eyes!! As we came in there was a long line of people waiting to get ice cream as well as a lot of people eat in inside!! Well, that is a good sign that their ice cream must be good!!! We got chocolate chip and cookie ice cream with waffle cone!! It was so good!! The texture of the ice cream was so creamy as well!! Will definitely be back!!

Ron's is a family friendly homemade ice cream shop located in a downtown area of Dedham located minutes away from Legacy Place. The service was solid and ice cream was even better. They had over 20 flavors of ice cream to chose from as well as soft serve, milk shakes, and sundaes. I would highly recommend the Oreo cake batter as it is a fan favorite. The prices are close to pricey, with a kiddie being 4.50 and regular being 5.50. With that being said the portions are very generous. There is a large parking lot across the street which makes it very convenient and accessible to get to the store and out as well as be other shops in the area. There are plenty of diners, shops, and restaurants around so going there and then coming to Rons for your sweet tooth would be the most ideal night.

P. Licks scattered around Metro Boston, so if you live out here the odds are excellent you've been to one and know what they sell. But if you live outside of Boston (like I do) the odds are pretty good you're not familiar with them, as I was not. So, here's a word of advice, if you have plans on visiting one for the first time, you really ought to do yourself a favor and scrutinize their menu before you visit. Otherwise, you'll be gawking at their incredible menu board for half an hour. You'll have to whittle down your selection between hard and soft ice creams, hard and soft yogurts, frappes, smoothies, sundaes, splits, ice cream cakes and pies and sandwiches and cupcakes, a coffee bar and a bakery with scones, coffee cake, muffins, cookies, pop tarts, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, bagels, croissants, and more. Everything is listed on a long menu board that spans the full-size ordering counter, so it's not very easy to see everything unless you strut the length of the counter, so that's why I suggest a little reconnaissance. Our grand kiddies wanted hot chocolates, so we got them a small ($3.75) and a medium ($4.25). They drank them up, but I did mooch one sip and loved it - deep chocolate flavor and not overpoweringly sweet. My wife and I returned to our Bronx roots and shared a chocolate egg cream ($5.90) and it was as good as I remember getting at our soda shop under the elevated D Train subway tracks on Jerome Avenue. Just a perfect blend of carbonated chocolate milk. Quite a wonderful flashback.

There was just a short line when we got there, which gave us time to review their many flavors options. There was just line move quick and before we knew it we were at the front and the pressure was on. As a big fan of Oreos/cookies and creams I was intrigued by the multiple flavors of cookies and cream that started with a different base than the typical vanilla ice cream. I went with the salted caramel cookies and creams, and was glad I did. Absolutely delicious! There is some inside seating but not much. It seems most take theirs to roam and shop at other stores. Overall, it was a tasty visit, with some unique flavors, friendly staff even in the hectic atmosphere. Pricing was a bit, I'm sure due to their rent, but with 5 other cookies and cream variations, I'll definitely be stopping in next time I'm in the area again!
