My daughter just got back from her first 2 hours of instructional training with Joe! Prior to the test she was very anxious and nervous about driving. The second she got home she was smiling from ear to ear and telling me how comfortable Joe made her feel driving. She said he was very nice and patient with her. They did a great job with my teenage son. He had his very first training earlier this year during torrential downpour one Saturday morning. He drove through puddles and standing water lol . As a parent I was more worried but he did really well according to the instructors. The 3rd training was going over the DMV test and route which was extremely helpful. I took Ron's driving school and find its behind the wheel classes very helpful. I took 3 classes (2 prior and 1 on exam day) before applying for my behind the wheel test (06/30/2107). I had been training with my Husband and was tired of all the yelling ;) After taking the classes I found considerable improvement in my driving. My instructor Lindsey was very patient and tolerant. She made me feel relaxed and kept giving me useful tips and best practices during the classes. Scheduled my sister for a 2 hour driving lesson for 9am on a Sunday... Her instructor didn't show. No call, no answer either on the office line. Apparently their office is closed on Sundays, then why schedule an appointment on a day they're closed. We waited an hour for them to show up before we gave up and continued with the rest of our day. My son took a two-hour lesson from Ron himself. Ron was very professional and extremely nice. His staff that helped us and took our payment over the phone was very nice friendly and helpful. We had tried one other school prior to Ron's driving school, they said they were full and refused to look past the current week for an appointment. I find it extremely unfair that there are several other positive reviews for Ron's driving school but it is not counted in his total overall review. This school was the worst experience EVER A few years ago my oldest daughter was learning to drive so we purchased the complete package from Ron's driving school. Something happened with my daughters social security card and took a long time to straighten out so she did not get her permit until a year after we purchased the package. After we got the permit and came back to schedule the behind the wheel they said because we were past a year they no longer will offer the behind the wheel or give us a refund. WHAT? I did not read that ANYWHERE when we signed up. $300 bucks down the drain. What They did not know is that she is the oldest of 6 kids. My other 5 have and will continue to go though a different more professional driving school with way better customer service! My two 15 year old boys are about to go though driving school now. I was recommended to Ron by one of my closest friends and honestly, it was one of the best choices I ever made. I was very anxious on learning how to drive and I wasn't sure if I would ever be ready to take my driving test. I took 3 driving lessons from Ron in the span of the entire month of October. Between the days of each lesson, I would continue to practice and improve on certain tasks that I felt needed to be worked on the most when I'm driving. Throughout each lesson, I learned a lot through the mistakes that Ron pointed out. Secondly, he gave me a lot of tips on how to be better at turning, stopping smoothly, and changing lanes, etc. I took my last lesson a day before my driving test and Ron made sure I was physically and mentally prepared for it. He also never put pressure on me about passing on the first try. He made sure that I knew it was okay to fail and that what matters is that I did my best. Because of his support, I felt more calm and was no longer feeling the tension and fear of failing. As a result, I passed on my first try. One thing I really appreciate about Ron is that he's a very patient instructor. He would guide me through the process of driving while also making sure I stayed calm whenever I was near any cars. I never thought I'd be learning how to parallel park and merge on the highway (two of my biggest concerns). Because of him, I was able to overcome these obstacles. Had a scheduled driving lesson at 2PM, confirmed by them, then instructor shows up at 1PM. She claimed the lesson was at 1:30, which is false and we have the confirmation email to prove it. I had Ron as my instructor and he helped me learn driving in less than a week (in three lessons). He is a very patient and informative instructor who pointed out all the mistakes in my driving which then, helped me learn from them. This driving school was also very flexible with their appointments which made me able to take my drivers test before my permit expired. Ron was also very helpful on the day of my test (like two hours before the test) which made me feel less nervous and more confident to take the test. We even drove around the area of the dmv so I could get used to the streets. I passed on my first try with 0 errors. I finally passed my test! I had Ron as my instructor and he made sure I knew the rules and not just driving. But the most important thing I learned from him, is when he kept telling me... your goal in learning to drive shouldn't be mainly on getting the license, your goal should be your safety and other's safety on the road. I called Rons Driving School because I had a driving test Monday, and I wanted someone to make sure I would be able to pass the test. My driving lesson was scheduled right before my driving test early in the morning. When Ron first arrived at my house and I got in the car, we went over where certain things were in the car. After that, we drove off. He continuously told me I was driving too slow, although I was driving the speed limit. I am a new driver, and I did not understand why an instructor would tell me to go over the speed limit. I live in Stockton, but my driving test was in Lodi. I wanted to be able to practice my driving around where my test would be that day. While getting ready to get onto the freeway, Ron kept telling me to change lanes in an intersection. I finally had to tell him that I wasn't supposed to do that. When we got to Lodi, we drove around the dmv. After a while, I told Ron that I was going to calm my mom so that she would be able to meet me at dmv so that we could be on time. I guess he was listening to my conversation because he asked me if my mom was white. When I told him yes, he looked at me confined and said "You're white?" (Mind you I'm black and white, just darker). He continued to ask me if I'm adopted, etc. I felt like this was very rude. Even if I was adopted, people usually don't ask these things. Overall I felt like it was a bad experience. I received my license, so this is not an "I'm angry because I didn't pass" review. I was treated very poorly by Ron. You would think that since it is RONS DRIVING SCHOOL that Ron himself wouldn't be so rude. He really needs to work on his people skills before he has no more business. read more

Ron's Driving School was a no-show! Appointment was scheduled and credit card was charged for 6 driving lessons with my teenager. They did not show up on the day scheduled and had no record of the appointment made, however, did receive payment from my credit card. No apology was given and they did not seem concerned that I wanted to cancel and get a refund. I received the refund receipt in the mail today. They do not have a very good follow up system to confirm appointments. WE had to call when they were late to find out if they were coming, which is when we discovered they did not have us on the calendar. Very unprofessional. My instructor was Ron and I just passed my driving exam today! I had 4 lessons (2 hours each) and dmv assistance, all of of which had me very prepared for the test. As a student driver, I had many questions during my lessons and Ron was always ready to answer them. He provided great tips and instructions, even for topics that aren't covered on the Tracy Driver's Exam such as using the freeway, parallel parking, and three point turns. We also went over the various test routes and what to do in different scenarios that could happen on specific streets and turns. Today, my examiner took me on one of the exact test routes we practiced, and because of all the prep I had, she said "I was very comfortable with your driving." Aloha, I randomly researching for driving schools in Tracy, because I didn't realize that my permit test was actually expiring with in next week. To which I came across this School. The prices were reasonable so I booked two separate appointments, which were $95 each for two hours with Lindsey, who was really helpful and really heart warming. She helped me a lot but I didn't feel like I was up to par with my with the necessary skills I needed for my driving test. So then about a week later I booked the 6 hour drivers training with Ron which was $275. So how that works is that he worked with me for three days straight for two hours a day. And just let me say, every time he took me out for drivers training I felt more confident due to him walking me through the whole training, Without him I would of never passed my drivers test so I am thankful. My aunt, my older sister, and I all did our driving training with Ron, and every one of us passed our driving tests on the first try! He is extremely patient (even when you think you messed up REALLY bad), and he's always quick to tell you how you can improve. He gives detailed instructions on how to drive safety, and does amazing with preparing you for your test. Instead of completely controlling your practice sessions, he allows you to correct your errors on your own and only intervenes when absolutely necessary. At first I thought that three 2-hour sessions wouldn't be enough to teach me to drive, but it was honestly all I really needed. He gave me lots of helpful tips in a short amount of time, plus he made sure I was comfortable driving around all of the different Tracy DMV test routes.
