I've been reading reviews and notice a lot of negative reviews on someone the name Monica.... At first, I was going to give it the benefit of the doubt as all patients go through different scenarios but when I called I encountered Monica and geez, she must really dislike her job to be in health care and be super rude to everyone! SMH. As amazing as Dr Josephine sounds and would love to have her as a primary, I now have to look elsewhere since little Ms Monica over there told me I have to call back in 4 months, they don't take waitlist and apparently not taking new patients when I was advise different from my OB doctor. Health care is very important and if you have people working front desk like Monica, please rethink your approach as who should be at the front desk.

There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.

At first I felt a little awkward with the fact that I'm a white male and she is Asian female, but I have been really happy with the service, care and attention that I have received. 1. Appointments are not hard to get. And I often make the appointment on my lunch hour and I'm usually back to work on time. 2. Very short time spent in the waiting room. And the office is tidy and very tastefully decorated. The office is easy to find (The Big Yellow House) and there is easy parking. Her front desk and nurse staff are very good. 3. I've made a number of appointments for routine stuff, pick up a prescription or get a flu shot or shingles vaccine and I'm in and out without even having to see the doctor. 4. When seeing the doctor she takes the time to discuss the medical issues. I never feel rushed or neglected. She is thorough. 5. Dr Huynh really cares. She takes the time to go over my history and issues. She talks to me about different treatment options. She is not a pill pusher; she discusses methods of self-care before prescribing a drug. If he writes a Rx she is very thorough explaining how to use the medication and what the possible side effects are. 6. She gives good advice. Again, I feel she really cares for my well-being. She seems well informed regarding medicine and treatment. I have no reservations about recommending Dr Thuy Huynh. 1189 E. Calaveras Blvd. Milpitas 408 262 9992 Easy to find off 680 and Calaveras

I was initially referred here by my surgeon after another Bay Area facility was fully booked, so I appreciated being able to get in relatively quickly. The treatment itself felt professional and well-managed, and I left feeling positive about the care I received. One thing to note is that this clinic does not accept insurance, so everything is out of pocket, unlike some other facilities that may have insurance partnerships. I wasn't aware of that ahead of time. My main area for improvement would be pricing transparency. Over the phone, I was quoted $375 for treatment and told I would need to meet with Dr. Young beforehand, which I completely understand. However, additional costs weren't clearly explained. I opted for a 90-minute session, which ended up being more expensive, and I left owing around $850. While I acknowledge I could have asked more questions, I do wish the full pricing breakdown had been communicated more clearly upfront. Overall, it was a very positive experience in terms of care and professionalism. If cost weren't a concern, I would absolutely return. I'd just recommend future patients ask detailed questions about pricing ahead of time.
