I spent every visit gagging and choking, and they'd just say, hold your breath, or breathe deep. I have moved to another state and a close friend took me to her dentist to have decent dentures made. He was appalled at what those dentures were doing to my gums and told me not to put them in even for a moment. As I'm now going through the process of getting dentures with him, I'm amazed. A friendly appointment reminder is fine. But during business hours, I can't prioritize responding to my dentist's receptionist over my own job. Starting as early as six weeks before each prepaid, nonrefundable cleaning, a Shakespearean drama would begin to unfold with the office staff, despite my continued clarity regarding unnecessary communication. After 5 years of repeatedly requesting that they respect my time and privacy (and never missing an appointment,) I finally texted back and told the staff that their business practices are "obnoxious." They have all the high tech Tv monitors etc so you can see your teeth in real times as they take pics or X-rays.
