Called and the sales pitch starts right away - asking if I want one of thier gold or platinum plans. Scheduled for service and told I would need to be home from 12-4 p.m. Technician showed up around 2:45. Again, sales pitch. Asking if he can change my air filters (had been changed less than 30 days ago). 30 minutes later, he tells me it's the condenser, it costs about $300, and he will have it replaced soon. Then he comes backs and says that in addition to the condenser, there's a leak. Then he fumbled around for over an hour trying to find the leak. Never found it. At one point I went to check on him and he was in the attic with a flashlight and hadn't even turned on the attic light. Told him I had to leave and left at 4:45. He said policy says he cannot stay, so he left. I hired somebody else. They came out Monday, found the leak in the coil in less than 20 minutes. Found the warranty (saved me $1000). Replaced the coil. Finished repairs, everything works great, and the condenser did not need to be replaced. read more

We have used this company for years and highly recommend them for new purchases as well as repair. They have replaced our main unit twice over the past 25 years as well as added 2 mini splits (one in our master and one in our garage) which were a huge improvement in our homes cooling ability during super hot summer weather. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother. Our compressor went out on a Wednesday. the part was ordered and no fault of Ron Brock's, the compressor took a week to come in. Ron Brock's got the home scheduled first thing the following Wednesday to get repaired. We had technicians Xavier and Cesar come to replace the part. These two men were extremely professional and explained what they were going to be doing. After they were completed, they had us turn on our system and viola! We had air conditioning again. Ron Brock's is the best hvac company in the industry. What many aren't aware of is tract home builders dictate so much of what these negative reviews consist of them. I've been using them for years and never once encountered anything but kind and knowledgeable customer service with the exception of one manager who is no longer with the company. The ladies in the office now are outstanding and go above and beyond. I've also checked on pricing with other local companies and Ron Brock's is consistently at the lower end of the going rate for Arizona. Their service techs are thorough and take their time. I am generally an understanding person, but I had the absolute worst experience with Ron Brooks AC. I don't even want to give them 1 star. They don't deserve it. They (mis)installed the unit when the house was new. They did not connect the drain hose in the proper place. I just wanted them to come out and look at the damage the misinstall caused. I am somewhat complicit for not having annual checks and identifying the issue before it caused the failure. The damage was not caused by a clogged drainage hose. The damage occurred because they did not install the drain hose. I would have given them a 4 star rating if they would have come out and repaired it for 1/2 of the labor cost since I was somewhat complicit. The part was under warranty. I was not obnoxious on the phone, but they wouldn't even talk to me after I told them I was going to talk to my daughter (an attorney) about it. Her comment was no attorney would spend any time on this because the damage was too small (~$850 repair) and nobody was injured. read more

I just had the technician Josh L. From Ron Brock's come out to repair my AC. Josh L was professional and courteous. He walked me everything he was checking he was able to get the issue. I was having with the AC diagnosed and repaired very quickly. He took pictures of the issue and also took pictures of how he repaired it and showed them to me before he my home, he made sure the AC was working correctly and that I was pleased with his work. If there was a way to request, Josh L any time I needed a technician to come out I would always request him. Definitely a five star technician. read more

My AC quit on early hours on Wednesday morning. I called Ron Brock on a recommendation and they couldn't come out for two days which should have warned me right there. By Saturday when they did come my temp in my house was 88! When they came they checked the unit outside and then went up in the attic where the other part of the AC is. They came down and said it's working. I didn't touch a thing on thermostats or anything on unit and I don't know if they did switch a button or something but then it was actually working - for 12 hours And a $95 service call. I called to say as it is now not working again with me not touching anything on it again and is not 80 degrees and climbing. They said they would have to charge me another $125 service call. WHAT! I'm a senior citizen, handicapped vit I'm not stupid and told them now to show up. I know it's Fathers Day but called another company by recommendation and him being a dad, I understand why they can't come today but he was very super nice and is coming first thing tomorrow. Service techs are polite and seem knowledgeable. My problem is how they justify charging outlandish prices for small repairs. I paid for an annual service maintenance. During his service call he indicated that a small capaciter should be replaced. We had a warranty on parts so I would only have to pay for labor '.... a 10 minute job. So I was presented with a bill of $340.When I called to complain, they claimed that the don't charge labor by the hour but rather by a scheduled price. So $340 for 10 min labor..... I had used Ron Brooks for 5 years without problems. The first thing Mark said it must be a capacitor and he put in the new one. Then he proceeded to do some other checking. Most competent A/C service people check the refrigerant level FIRST! He checked the refrigerant level after he charged another $461 for other tests. And he charged $405 for the capacitor which retails for $67. Billed $1009. read more

This company did not honor labor warranty or parts warranty. The house is new (1.5 years old) and they installed the unit. This company is rude and unprofessional. Save your self the headache and deal with another cheating and cooling service. This company sells and installs faulty units and then wants you to pay them to come back out to fix them. I hired Ron Brock after I fired the AC company that poorly installed the " Air Handler from hell" at my home. I eagerly purchased Ron Brock maintenance package after I saw how good their technicians were when serving my three AC's. This company takes their service very seriously. if you have a concern after a tech was out to the house they will send out that tech to make sure it is done correctly. A few years ago one of the other units needed replacement. Ron Brock installed the new unit and got it done right. I cannot imagine another AC company providing as good a service as Ron Brock HVAC. I've recommended this company to two other home owners and they are happy with their service. I will state, when I need another AC unit replaced Ron Brock will get the call, hands down. Stay away from Ron Brock Heating & Cooling!!!!! They installed both our a/c units at our 2 year old home while under construction. The units were never hooked up to electric when we moved in. 2 Weeks ago, one of the units went out, called Ron Brock. They came out to replace the capacitor which fortunately was still under warranty, however they presented us with a labor bill for $450 for 45 minutes of work!! Needless to say, I was appalled. I have all the respect in the world for those working in the trades, but $450 for less than an hour of work in NOT reasonable. I have called them nearly every day for 2 weeks to discuss this, yet none of the "higher ups" (Taylor) are willing to call me back. They offered a full inspection of the unit for $1,200!!! Seriously!!!! How long does it take to conduct a full inspection; 3 full days?? Semper Fi and other honest, reasonable competitors offer this inspection for $17. I have now heard from 2 other neighbors that their capacitor went out on their newer Ron Brock installed A/C units; this is NOT normal. They should last many years. Spoke w a man who used to work for Lennox. He mentioned that for the capacitor to go out that quickly, the units are NOT installed correctly. Needless to say, STAY AWAY FROM RON BROCK!!! Service was terrible from start to finish from the woman who answered the phone and didn't tell me everything thing to the manager that didn't believe me about what the technician did. I was told 95.00, had a rude technician that was disrespectful then told it's an additional 180.00 so nutty because it's a 30 second job with a 12.00 part. Made him leave and I still got billed for the 95.00. I feel sorry for them life is so much better when you're honest. I especially feel sorry for the women. I taught my son how to do it. We are the second owner of a home in Wickenburg Ranch. Our home's units were installed by Ron Brock's Heating and Cooling. The previous owners had a service agreement with Brock's and recommended them since they were the installers. We set up a service agreement and they came out twice in 2022. Since then, they never contacted us to renew our service agreement. One of our units stopped working yesterday and I contacted Brock's to service it. I spoke to a nice technician who put in a service call and asked me to contact the office the next morning to be put on the schedule. The dispatcher looked up our account and said that because our install warranty had expired, they wouldn't be able to to a service call until August 21st. But had it been within the warranty they would have come out right away. The weather had been as high as 116 over the last few days so this was unacceptable. It's a shame that there are companies like this in business. Lack of customer service. Customers are their bread and butter! I called McMillian Air in Congress, AZ and they set up an appoint for the next day. Later that day I received a call that one of McMillian's technicians was in the area and asked if they could come by. They did, and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. Price was very fair and customer service was impeccable! Do not use Ron Brock Heating and Air unless you don't mind being treated like a 2nd class citizen. read more

Extremely Disappointed. I had the Ron Brocks Presidental VIP Service program for my HVAC. My HVAC blower failed & considering what they wanted to charge and their complete lack of service I'm still trying to figure what I would have paid all the extra money for. It took their service dept a week to recieve a HVAC blower motor (or so they said) this motor is easily avilable on amazon or any HVAC store in Phoenix and at a fraction of their cost. The installing technician arrived at the house after 7 days only to advise me he brought the wrong motor. Being he was approximately 3 hours late on Friday afternoon the issue would have to be resolved on the following Monday. I managed to get thru the following Monday and was told they were going to order another motor and will call me when it arrives. It was nothing but a repeat of the previous week. Two weeks for a HVAC Blower. I went to another HVAC company they installed the Blower motor $400 cheaper. They did this on the day following my call. I find it hard to believe this Ron Brocls Heating & Cooling is still in business considering their prices and dissapointing and horrible costomer service. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I had an appointment scheduled on 8/4 for AC issues. They called to reschedule it for 8/11 between 12-6. They confirmed the appointment the day before and yet no one showed up. I called at 6pm to find out what happened and then randomly someone showed up at 730pm. This tech came in noticed the AC was not right. He comes down from the attic and says "everything is good" they are no issues. he keep trying to justify the problems. Eventually I convinced him to check again, he then noticed there is NO AIRFLOW to two bedrooms. He said he was not able to do anything and would need to send another tech. The next tech came 8/16! And of course. They need to reschedule because a smaller tech that fits in the vent needs to come. No one called me to reschedule this. I had to call them and now they are saying no one can come until 8/21. Almost a month later and no one seems to even be able to identify the issue. read more

I called Shane to report a water damage problem in my home on June 3rd, 2020. The company had been out several times trying to fix a condensation leakage issue with one of my three AC units. This problem was brought about by an incorrectly installed air handler by ANOTHER HVAC company a few years earlier. I had fired Brand X company then threw a dart looking for another outfit. Enter Ron Brock. Their techs came out to service this incorrectly installed air handler. It would fill the drain pan of condensation but because brand X AC company failed to make sure the pvc condensation pipe was correctly placed at the correct angle and other things, the water backed up spilling over the drain pan onto the floor. The water found its way to drywall and a wood floor adjacent to the air handler closet. Brock techs responded several times reconfiguring the drain pipe and eventually we bought their alarm shut off system to alleviate more leaks. It failed more than once to shut down the AC unit and that caused the eventual water damage I found June 2nd, 2020. Shane and a supervisor of the techs responded quickly to my call. It was determined that the alarm thingy was not working properly. Shane sent a tech out to the house to make the necessary adjustments and rework the drain pipe. At this point Shane determined the right thing to do was take responsibility for the water damage and he set up several companies to do a deconstruct/reconstruct at no charge to us. Due to brand X AC company doing the original install of the AC unit and the incorrectly installed air handler that was the original cause of the water damage, other AC companies could and would have used that as an excuse to back out, take no responsibility and walk away. Not Shane of Ron Brock HVAC company. His and the company's work ethic of doing the right thing instead of wiggling out of a problem served us well. I appreciate that work ethic. The project has been completed. It was done in a timely manner. We are very happy with the results and especially with Ron Brock HVAC company. Our rear AC unit was not working during the peak of the 115 degree day and we called Ron Brock as they installed the unit 4 years ago. Our technician came the next day and was very friendly and spent 20 minutes trouble shooting the problem and determined that we were leaking Freon, he later determined that the leak was the Schrader valves. He replaced the valves and recharged the system with Freon and the system started blowing cold air. The system was under warranty (parts only) and they charged $550 for labor and Freon. Fast forward 14 days later and our bedrooms are at 90 degrees , so we call Ron Brock back. The next day a very pleasant technician came out to trouble shoot it and said we were out of Freon again and had a leak in the cooling coil. Two days later someone from Ron Brock called and said they would replace the coil and recharge the system for a little over $1750. I reminded them the parts were under warranty and they had just charged $550 for not fixing the problem. I was told they would give a 12% discount and charge $1540, after we paid $550 and did not get the problem fixed. I asked for a manager, who didn't care that they charged us and didn't fix the problem, but who said to help out on the new charge, would throw in the Freon. They still wanted an additional $1200 to fix it on top of the $550 we spent without getting our air conditioner fixed. Really!!!. Bottom line great friendly technicians, but over priced and crappy customer service. We used another AC company, got the problem fixed and were charged less. read more

Its nice to work with professionals in any industry but to find quality, honest people in the construction business is a real pleasure. I had four units installed two years ago by them. Had a noise coming from one of the still functioning units. Came right out. Made the repairs and serviced all the units. No charge. They could have easily said it was normal and let the unit fail and get some additional warranty work in a few months. Not this company. They are good people that do quality work. read more

I recently purchased a new home. Ron Brocks are the new construction installation company. 2 days into my home my condenser goes out. I tried calling them and my superintendent since 1400 that day. At 2157 my home had completely no air. New Build warranty stated that Ron Brocks couldn't come out because they were fully booked. Yes I understand they were fully booked at 2157 at night! That was an excuse from the Ron Brocks on call, not to run and installation warranty call. I never received a follow up call the following morning. Ron Brocks dispatched called myself a week later at 1303 and stated a tech was outside my home. What do you mean? No one scheduled this with me, no one called. Dispatched then stated and was very unprofessional with their statement that "I had until 1400 to arrive or Ron Brocks tech will be leaving and they are not held responsible for any damages" are you kidding me! I was at work. During these times of Covid having a job to go to is a blessing in one. An employee cannot just up and leave because Ron Brocks dispatch failed to schedule accordingly. Their dispatch then continued to be very argumentative that she did schedule and spoke with someone. I checked my call logs and even checked my husband's call logs. No calls from Ron Brock's. Upon installation my secondary drain pan is already filling up with water and condensation lines are not installed properly cause the pan to fill up and condensation lines to be backed up. We are past the summer heat but my pan should not be filled up with water and can also cause attic to Ceiling damage in my new home. 32 days later Ron Brocks still has not been out. A different company came and repaired my new condenser that Ron Brocks Installed and because of the unprofessionalism from their dispatch, I do not want to even deal with them. Ron Brock's has made my home buying of a new built the worst experience ever. Tough times during this pandemic and threats of not being liable and the unprofessionalism from dispatch is just not worth going through. There are so many HVAC companies in the valley that are kind, professional and willing to fix their Installations issues. Names of dispatch do not need to be mentioned. They are working employees as well as myself, no need to continue the unprofessionalism and ugliness during these harsh times. I do not recommend Ron Brocks for new construction or HVAC. read more
