As the owner, Douglas Hunter came out himself to both spec and bid the job. I was immediately impressed that he did not try to upsell me, instead giving me some suggestions for improving the appearance of the 45 year old concrete parking area my driveway leads to. His bid was competitive and in line with what I expected. After I accepted his bid he called and set a date for the work. Unlike other contractors I've dealt with, his crew of 3 showed up when promised and put in 2-1/2 full working days to get the job done, which involved making a clean connection to the old concrete pad, removing large tree roots, and working around borders and landscaping before putting down around 800 square feet of concrete. Workmanship was excellent and very professional (it was a real crew, not day labor). The crew totally cleaned up after themselves, putting things pretty much back in order, leaving very little for me to take care of myself. I wish all contractors were as responsible.
