It was use a few times as an alarm but mostly for the ability to view the front door. There were problems in the beginning with that camera getting scorched by the sun through the lenses. That was rectified. So the Hurricane comes along and the battery was used up. I bought one on line and installed it. The alarm didn't work. I called American and we tried a few things but no good. Seemed to both of us that the transformer plugged in the wall might have gotten a surge and wasn't working . No problem, come on out and check it. But you must pay for the service call before we come out. What!! That is not how good business is done when you have a 4 + year customer and you have all my info of payment every month. If I was late once in that time of didn't pay, well ok. But that's not the case. All repair companies come perform a service and are paid. Not treat the customer like a looser that they can't trust. Trust this ,good bye to American Alarm of Fort Myers.

I'm writing to recommend an incredible business, All American Alarm. I was in town, and I called AAA on Friday evening after hours, and he called me back! On Saturday he was there, at the house, with our family. Today, Monday, a full home security system was installed. He is a man of action and integrity, as is his son, Ameer, who works with him. If you are even thinking about a home security system (isn't it just like human nature to need to be prodded by a personal home invasion -- don't wait), or a commercial security system, call Syed.     Shameful that ADT is scamming my mother! She lost her husband, called to cancel service in 2021…read more ADT verified that she called to cancel.... but according to them, it didn't get switched to the correct department and finalized. So they've been taking money out of her account for over 5 YEARS SINCE SHE CANCELED. This wasn't discovered until I started helping her with bills. Now mom calls and they will process THE NEW CANCELATION effective 4/2025. We will be seeing them in small claims over this one! STAY AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH ADT !!!! And yes I'll be posting this everywhere as often as I can until it gets resolved. Horrible business to be taking money from the elderly like this.

    I have been an ADT customer for 35 years. After hurricane Ian in 2022, my house was severely…read moredamaged they paused my security fees, and I was told five separate times that they were going to go ahead and get me information on what it would cost to refurbished my system. Each of those five separate times resulted in no information being emailed and no phone contact back. when I called to cancel I was met with an almost $100 bill for a service that I didn't use. I spoke to several people and they told me that the bill would be credited back to zero they now are putting me through collections for again a service that I didn't use and all they want to go ahead and say to me is that they will give me a quote to upgrade my system. Please be aware of ADT security. They say that they want to retain my business after 35 years of me paying my bill on time however this is not the case. I will now post this wherever I can because I feel that it's unfair after going through a natural disaster that they continue to try to bill me for a service that I did not use and I could not use even right now in the state that my equipment is in. Finally, the last time I spoke with ADT they told me that if I paid half my bill of which I didn't go ahead and even have the service that they would wipe the rest of that out this is not a reputable company.

The security camera system was installed 60 days ago and has never properly worked. We followed their recommendation on equipment and were even billed for additional work when the system they told us would originally work, didn't - and then even with the additional work and additional equipment the system still doesn't work. It shouldn't be difficult to get 6 cameras to work - but we have never had more then 1/2 the system working at any point in time. The most recent event in this nightmare was a security incident we had this morning. We had construction equipment stolen right from our driveway, and of course the cameras were not operating and didn't record anything! Only after calling them every week will they come out and try to fix. Tired of calling them, sending them videos of non working system, and hearing how they are busy on bigger jobs - wish they would just do the right thing and take back their equipment and refund our money. They obviously don't have the expertise to do residential work or have an interest in making it a priority to service residential customers. Stay clear of Securitech1.

Common courtesy of replying to a service call should be a top priority of customer service!
