I thought to myself give it a chance reviews and positive word of mouth is something to take into consideration, NO the "Barber" a young female who as I walked in was on her phone and seemed like my presence in the shop was unwanted. I am a bearded northern man and it seemed like the Yorkshire ripper would have been more welcome in a brothel. she then sat me down and started cutting, not with scissors like my hair warrants but with the clippers making me look like some sort of Essex clown shoe wanner bee, then then proceeded onto my beard and again went for the clippers instead of scissors and to be perfectly honest an Indian or " Native American" would have took less off. this all happened with 30 minutes of sitting in the chair which to me seems like a very short amount of time as usually I have around an hour spent on my beard and hair so it looks like I haven't just thought to do it myself with some pound shop utensils. at the end of the session I as you do agreed that it was a great cut and I was happy with the result but secretly scathing inside which has brought me to write this word of warning.

When I went to pay, I asked for the student price and the other employee at the register (Blond hair, blue eyes) said that it was not for international students. I guess my ID is a little different from resident students. He was persistent and even went on to say it was for Masters and Ph.D students only! That is the biggest bullshit I have ever heard. My student ID is officially from Cambridge. I am enrolled and being taught from the school -- officially. Just because I am an international student that is here for 2 months (meaning I would need 2 haircuts) does not entitle me to the student discount? Kiss my ass guy. I get a student discount at the train and the movies with this ID. I payed the amount he asked for, and even tipped because I liked my barber. I feel ripped off and lied to. Went for a shave and ended up getting a cut as well. Felt like royalty afterwards (well it IS next to Windsor after all!) Was with my son, otherwise would have also taken them up on a nice cold beer or G&T that is included. Although there is a place up the road that got "hairdresser of the year"...they must be worried about being usurped and their crown being stolen by this team (ok I will stop with the terrible royalty analogies now!)
