All of the dishes were delicious but I particularly recommend the Crab Cakes and the Shrimp & Chicken Etouffee. I had initially thought about catering the party myself but NOLA Girl's cooking is better than mine and has genuine cajun flair and flavor. Costs are competitive relative to the other caterers we considered; communication was excellent and food delivery was very prompt. Finally, the dishes are generously sized and we loved the left-overs! THANK YOU!

What impressed me even more than the tasty food and reasonable pricing was the service they provided during the event. Earlier in the day I received a phone call from the bakery saying they couldnt deliver the cake because the venue wasnt open yet. I called Jenny and she took care of it. She had them deliver the cake to her and set it up at the venue herself. Came into town for a work lunch and our firm manager recommended this place (She's a local). We sat…read moreon the outside patio which was nice when a breeze came through on occasion. They also have misting fans out there to manage the discomfort. You can smell the place from a block away. It's neat to be at a place surrounded by historic homes and old oak trees. Now onto the food. I got the 3 Meat Plate with Brisket, Ribs, and Pulled Pork. I've been smoking and eating Texas style meats for 25+ years, so I'm a bit of an admitted BBQ snob. The brisket was cooked perfectly. Not overwhelmingly Smokey, very tender, and still juicy. The ribs were a bit of a disappointment since they were overcooked and had a leathery texture. The flavor was incredible, just the texture was off. I wasn't upset though...it happens. The Pulled Pork was still very moist and easy to eat. The sides were very good also. The Beef Fat Tater Tots had a great texture and a Smokey flavor that I suspect came from a paprika based spice blend on them. The potato salad had great texture, but was very onion forward, so be aware if that is not your thing. My wife got the brisket plate, but got the lean cut from the flat of the brisket. It was still tender and moist. Her Roasted Garlic Mac-n-Cheese and Brussel Sprout sides gave me envy...they were both absolutely delicious! This place also has unique BBQ sauces. They have a house sauce which is a sweet sauce much like you might buy of any grocery store shelf, but better. They also had a Carolina style and a Jerk style BBQ sauce, which ended up being my favorite and was an unexpected surprise. It was a perfect companion for the pulled pork in particular. I gave the entire experience a 4 out of 5. Very solid lunch option. If you're in N.O. and aren't looking for seafood...give them a try.

They hold a very high standard so thought this would be something thats a no brainer. I talked to a few other caterers and we like Aaron (our sales person) he was personable and responsive. We came into town and did our tasting and he took us for a drink. I should have known at our tasting. My food standards are high as well as service and the food was MEH. But at this point I was in it! People always say wedding food is does not have as high of standards as fine dining restaurant but it sure cost us the same. Aaron told us we had "more than enough food" and our price per head was not cheap. Aaron also told us he does not go to weddings but would come by ours (He never came, never let us know and he told us one things and our wedding planner told us another why he did not show up). The day of the wedding everything went south. There were SO many issues but will highlight a few of them as I am sure there were more I was not told or did not find out about. They ran out of CUPS, soda water (yes soda water) our wedding was only 70 people on the guest list. the last table they ran out of food for (they did not make enough food or all the items we ordered, veggies, rollos, shrimp and grits and so on), they did not have all the items they were supposed to for the bar. To top it off one of their staff sold beer to one of our guests at the end of the wedding (beer we had already paid for) and pocketed a few hundred bucks from a intoxicated guest. This is a shame. Aaron lacked much follow through on this after the wedding and one of the other bosses there gave me a 15% reimbursement. Honestly I would never use them again and feel so upset this went down the way it did. We have guests as our wedding that did not get all the items we had selected when we were supposed to have tons of food. How do you run out of items like cups and soda water at a bar for a 70 person wedding?
