Pros: Location, great staff, valet parking Easy to walk anywhere in Waikiki. A side road, so pretty quiet from the street. Valet is always nice and valet team are great. Beautifully decorated hotel. Cons: Someone was knocking on our door at 1am. Was an impaired person looking for someone. Once my husband told him twice that he had the wrong room, he continued on the floor knocking on doors. They should consider a card only elevator or better security. I would've panicked if I was alone. People walking in the hallway from a night out talking and it was very loud. Quiet area signs may help. Or insulated doors. In short, I wouldn't stay again since we had hardly any sleep due to the phantom knocker and loud guests in the hallway. But, cute hotel.

Adults only hotel, free of kids making it a little more relaxing. To begin, the staff at the front desk can either be very nice or passive aggressive. Ariel was very kind, welcoming and patient. Resorts fees are quite expensive if you're staying for a week but that's as expected. They have a confusing policy of what gets refunded back to your card. The hotel has a nice aroma as you walk in. Room cleaning: We were told rooms get cleaned every other day, since check in we had to wait after 2 days to get our room cleaned, then it was every other day, I'm not sure if maybe they're short staffed and it's difficult to keep up with the cleaning? I feel it's standard to have a hotel at least make the beds daily and change towels daily. When we first arrived, our room did not have the complementary shampoo and conditioner in the shower, only the body wash. It was then placed back when our room was finally cleaned. The complementary shower products, soap and lotion smell pleasant. The shower has little to no door, which gets the bathroom very wet, we were told by a different hotel staff member to use the small towel as it's a "bath mat". Our rooms shower didn't have any shelf to put our bath products down on. Not sure if lights were on a timer or motion sensor, but they would turn on and off at random times. The mini fridge is not that cold, has no freezer compartment. The water machine was down for a couple days towards the end of our trip which was a bummer since that's one of the benefits of this hotel having reusable water bottles provided. When we asked a staff member about it, he said the machine would be getting fixed that day and it still wasn't fixed unfortunately. There is no room service to order food. The beds are extremely comfortable and the air conditioning works well. Our room had a window that didn't open but had a cute little view of downtown. The pool has good hours open for availability and you can order food and drinks which is great. Personally felt like the pool was a little too warm for the summer heat everyday but it was a relaxing environment. The restaurant inside is wonderful, separate review of that :) The bar the Lei Stand was great too! The location of the hotel is extremely convenient!

The rooms looked quite fancy and chiche, but lost it's charm due to the impractical shower panels and lack of counter space. It was a tad bit noisy due to the cloistered design of the rooms. Got some credit from the hotel and spent it in the japanese fusion restaurant downstairs. Food was decent but was a miss in my books. The dishes took it's time to get out of the kitchen and the quality of the dishes were subpar - case in point the wet and mushy pancake.

We stayed overnight after our daughter recommended it. My husband had a heart procedure in Oahu so it was a quick trip from Kona. The hotel has been open about a year and is directly across from the International Marketplace. Perfect in terms of proximity to shops and dining. We ended up having a few bites at Herringbone and Stripsteak as well as picking up great pastries. The boutique hotel couldn't have been better. Location, coziness, service. Although due to hours we didn't eat there there are two restaurants available and we will try next visit. Super friendly staff. Spent our very early morning exit speaking with the nicest gentleman who is from our hometown of Kona. Love the mid century vibe. Blessed we were able to pass on info for this great spot to all of our uber drivers and medical staff. Definitely love the kamaina rates no resort fees. Only cons no tea available in room and that small shower door as you will be cleaning up water.

    So cute.

Just stayed here friday-saturday and it was such a vibe. The esthetic of this hotel is modern, luxe with it's dimmed lights ambience. Amazing customer service, the room was clean and still smelt brand new. I stayed in a 1 bedroom, king bed 1 bath. There's a beautiful restaurant in the lobby and across the lobby Romers has their own bar. The ac was great, king bed was super comfy, ample storage for a 1 bedroom with 2 guests. The food was delicious!! I'd definitely come back here again. There was a pool but i didn't get to check it out. Overall, i enjoyed my stay, i would come back here again and recommend this hotel!

Amazing place, clean, most importantly KID FREE. What a blessing, also a close walk to the local beaches and amazing food is only a short walk away! Be sure to swing by and stay for atleast a week! You'll never have enough time!

WORDS TO DESCRIBE Halepuna Hotel: Modern, clean, safe, economically and environmentally friendly (bamboo room cards, water dispensers for your reusable water bottles), bright, airy, quality service in hospitality and room service LOCATION I loved staying at the Halepuna Hotel. It was centrally located at the beach walk, so ABC Store, shops, restaurants, and the beach were all within walking distance. *It was difficult finding the location of the hotel, when we first arrived. There was no big sign that you can spot, while you're driving, so my landmarks I always looked for were the ABC Store and Denny's. STAFF/SERVICE: Everyone that we came across during our stay was very friendly, generous, kind, and attentive. A shoutout to the Valet Service crew, especially RJ. He gave us recommendations for where to go. He always made us smile and laugh with his jokes. Thank you Uncle! AMENITIES: ROOMS Our room was equipped with charge stations-usb and usb c compatible plugs, ironing board/iron, mini fridge, ice bucket, tea kettle, and coffee maker. BATHROOM Well stocked with towels, a drying cord, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciated that instead of your standard toilet, the hotel had bidets! *Great water pressure for showering. The tub was also spacious, if you wanted to take a bubble bath. 8TH FLOOR GYM-Equipped with a lot of machines Water dispenser Additional restrooms/shower room LAUNDRY ROOM is open 24/7 There are 3 washers and 4 dryers You can pay using your credit card or download the WASH CONNECT app *Friendly suggestions: -As a guest, bring your own laundry soap/dryer sheets--or go to the ABC Store if you forget your laundry supplies -Make sure to clean the lint trap before you put your clothes in -Put a timer on your phone to check on your clothes GARDEN -Serene, tranquil, peaceful, spacious -------- Friendly Suggestions for Halepuna Hotel -Have a big sign stationed outside the hotel, perhaps elevate the height of the sign and add lights to it, so it's easy to spot for first time visitors ------- All in all I enjoyed staying at the Halepuna Hotel. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. She last visited 5 years ago with some girlfriends and always spoke highly of the property and hotel. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for our 9 day stay. Immediately I noticed that every employee I contacted went above and beyond to greet me and make sure if I needed help they would handle my situation. Staff here from valet, pool staff, housekeeping, bell desk, hotel check in, and even landscaping are well trained and operating on a higher than 90% of hotels out there. This level of service continued from our first to last day folks. Wendy our housekeeper was awesome and remember to tip appropriately! I want to talk about a common complaint I see in the reviews. Cost. I hate to slap you in the face with this but prices aren't what they used to be. Yes, this is a very expensive property. For us, it was worth the splurge that maybe will only be done every 5 years, but there's a reason for the high price. This hotel is roughly 2,500 miles away from the continental US and in my opinion one of the best ocean front properties in the world and you have to pay for that. If you are going to complain about cost then please stay home. Everything on an island that isn't naturally there has to be shipped there. So cost is obviously higher. I was last in Waikiki in 1995 as a child. I remember it then and seeing it again now was amazing. The food, city, and the ability to rent a car and leave the city in a flash is something unique in this paradise. The Sheraton adults only pool and the views that the ocean side hotel rooms provide are unparalleled. The kids pool is also above and beyond for the under 16-year-old age group.
