The main reason I have been frequenting these stores lately is because of their 3 wick candles. I try to stay far away from stores and shopping centers on that day. However, a few days ago, my dear husband really wanted to get out of the house and head to some stores in Lexington to browse and pick a few things up. Sigh. I begrudgingly agreed to join on a excursion to Hamburg that Black Friday evening. We parked in the lot nearby with the intention of going to Ross in search for some ugly Christmas sweaters. I spotted Bath&Body Works; and in all my anti-consumerism glee, I shouted, "We have to go there! They probably have some sales! I need soap!" Go ahead, slap me silly. I gotta hand it to the people who work here: they really know how to deal with the Black Friday crowd. The store was PACKED as expected, but employees were available in every aisle to assist you towards different items. Not only that, but additional temporary checkout lanes were added to speed up the process. The line was looong! The aisles were tight. But it wasn't as chaotic as it seemed. I found things with ease (thanks to some employees) and waited no more than ten minutes to purchase my items. Yes. Yes. I caved. Instead of just getting one soap, I went for the 'buy 3, get 3 FREE' deal with four soaps, a body wash, and a pillow mist spray. Because... that is what you do here. You never leave with just one product. Especially when you haven't set foot in a B&BW in over a year or so. Time to stock up on all those delicious holiday scented soaps!! I'm set for the next couple months.
