The chocolate options here are not only a work of art, but they are tasty as well. I came to pick up a gift for a friend's anniversary and the staff was great about helping me choose the gift. I also took some chocolates home for myself of course ;) I'll definitely be coming here to satisfy my sweet tooth.

    Bonbon selection!

My original introduction to Romanicos Chocolate was actually the "Guayaba y Chocolate" store that used to exist and was located in the heart of Calle Ocho. I didn't know it then but they were actually strictly carrying Romanicos Chocolates. I adoreddd buying their bars of chocolate and bon bons! At one point they'd sell them at Tower Theater's concession and naturally I'd buy a little pack to share with my partner while watching a flick. As time passed I realized Guayaba y Chocolate was no longer in business. I grieved it's disappearance but my research skills lead me back to the actual source. Fast forward to today, I stopped in to Romanicos Chocolates to buy myself a box of their assorted bon bons and my only complaint was that upon entering the store there were 2 women that stared at me like deers in the headlights and refused to greet me and my partner. I felt awkward and took it upon myself to smile and nod my head with NO GESTURE or reciprocation in return. A male associate then came and acted pretty indifferent that we were there so I outright just gave up on the customer service at this point. This is the only reason I didn't give this shop a 5 star rating. Guayaba y Chocolate on the other hand was AMAZING at their customer service. Besides all that I got a $39 ($41 with tax) box of assorted bon bons and they were wrapped pretty nicely! I can't wait to dig in! So, if bon bons or chocolates in general are your thing I'd suggest you give them a try just don't expect much from their personnel.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that women love chocolate. Be it white, milk, or dark, wrapped up in a box, paper, or as a kiss, chocolate reigns supreme. And so, with this logic, when the time came to catch up on some late Christmas gifting, I went to Románicos. After all, I went to get cute gifts for three wonderful women in my life: my boss, my work mom, and my friend's mom, all who I am extremely grateful to have in my life. I had originally gone on January 2nd hoping to start the year off right, but when I arrived, I saw a sign saying they were closed for inventory. Still, I vowed to come back and come back I did. Finally, I went back this past week and I was attended right away by the sweet Anais. She spoke to me about the store's history, how far in advance to make orders, and even about a rewards program. She happily pointed me to not only take a sample, but she gave me a free piece of a dark chocolate filled with coconut. Now if you know me, I hate coconut, but when you ask for a recommendation and that's what you're told to try, you go for it. And so, I took a bite and fell in love. It was a delicate little morsel of deliciousness, the type that I dream of day in and day out. Now dreaming or not, one thing's for certain. In two words: pure craftsmanship. That's what these chocolates are. Yes, they're a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. This is divine quality. These chocolates are worthy of everything. They are decadent, luxurious, and in a word: beautiful. Each piece is handcrafted to sheer perfection and even the throw-outs, those not meeting their standards, are amazing. Note these chocolates are called irregularities. Aside from the irregularities and gift sets, they have coffee, chocolate bars, and snacks. There is something for all. Most chocolates here are dark chocolate, but if you want something different, make a call. I'm sure they'll delight in making it for you. With that said, in a nutshell - go, go, go. You won't regret it. Why? Because this chocolatier is three things. In three short bursts, this chocolatier is... Exceptional. Enthralling. Exquisite. Hence, what are you waiting for? Go, go, go!

Fantastic local chocolate boutique! It's very cute and cozy inside and staff are super friendly and attentive. The chocolate is delicious. Very good quality. My daughter loves the chocolate covered Oreos .... not your average... they seem to be triple dipped in dark chocolate of amazing quality. I love the ginger covered chocolate. And the coffee and shakes are also very good. They have a great selection of gift boxes and treats. I think these make the best gifts since they are hand made and local.

Incredible! Queen Box - Chocolate Art

First, I must say the service there was incredible! They automatically make you feel at home when you're placing and order. The chocolate themselves are phenomenal. I purchased a mix box and wasn't disappointed with any othe the flavors, but my favorite has to be the chocolate covered strawberries. Absolutely delicious and the strawberries tasted like they were just picked. A must buy when stopping by. Thank you Románicos Chocolate!!!!!

Such a quaint Chocolate Shop! My dad recently introduced me to Románicos. He had so many good things to say about it, and he was right! The chocolate is absolutely delicious and rich. The goodies are also so beautiful! Lots of hand-painted pieces. I had a chocolate shake and it was probably the best chocolate shake I've ever had. It was so rich and delicious! There was one young lady working there and she was very sweet and professional. The shop is tiny but there are a few high chairs and a counter to sit and enjoy your goodies. I can't wait to come back!

Where it was ordered from and what a disappointment the chocolate cake stale for Valentine's Day and no flowers that it was ordered with.
    Catherine S.

Got delivery today from my business partner by Romanicos chocolate. It was supposed to come with flowers and chocolate. And the image I'm attaching is how it came for VALENTINES DAY. What a disappointment. The chocolate also tasted very stale. Not creamy I tried 3 and they all tasted the same even though one was champagne, the other is berry and the other is a Carmel one. They all tasted stale in the outside and chewy gummy on the inside. Weird... oh and the flowers didn't come! I don't even know it was a part of it until I sent the same picture to the partner. He was so embarrassed I felt bad for him because his name was on it. And he sent this to our clients also. This is a terrible representation for a company name. I would NOT REPURCHASE again.

Bullet points: * Well-crafted, beautifully packaged * Five stars for artistry and taste We just ordered a grande assortment of the chocolate art from Romanico's - it shipped here to northern California... First of all, it's the best example of shipping mojo that I have ever seen! The box contains a foil-covered foam "cooler." Inside the cooler were three ice packs, and the box of cholocates, carefully wrapped. The box of chocolates was wrapped with a ribbon, and a card was supplied for giving as a gift. Inside, there is an amazing amount of custom packing to keep the chololates safe. The chocolates themselves are beautiful - each one has a different top, whether it's a hazelnut or a "printed" design (see photo). Delicious fillings and nice chocolate. Pricey, but when you consider the look, packaging, and obvious commitment to quality, it's worth it!

Some of the flavor varieties were good, but overall everything tasted very dark and intense. Nothing really stood out as exceptional, and the assortment felt heavier and less balanced than I was expecting for an artisan chocolate box. The main issue for me was the hazelnut pieces. I experienced the same issue in both boxes: the hazelnuts tasted off, with an almost rancid note, and there was very little actual hazelnut flavor. While I understand that shipping across the country can affect certain products, the flavor of the hazelnut should not have changed this much. I contacted customer service within 7 days, as stated on their website. Despite initially having one unopened box, I was told they do not accept returns and no assistance was offered. The response was brief and dismissive, which was disappointing given the language on their website suggesting otherwise. These chocolates may appeal to those who prefer very dark, less sweet flavor profiles, but between the underwhelming assortment, the hazelnut issue, and the customer service experience, I would not order again.

I enjoyed a couple of bon bons and had a few bars, some cacao, and some nibs shipped home for free. The front side of the store has a nice feel much like a coffee shop. The service was great and the lady which helped me knew about all of the chocolates. All of this while you see through large windows the back side operation creating wonderful things. The only downside is the parking. The spots right in front of the store were not usable but the deck behind the store was and it was online pay only. Still the chocolate wins the day and I will definitely return.

And wow... it had that perfect spicy chorizo kick, super flavorful, juicy, and just straight-up mouthwatering. Like every bite was rich, slightly smoky, a little picante... just insanely good. Of course, I had to get my usual café con leche--smooth, comforting, and exactly what you need with a brunch like this. And for dessert, a key lime pie that was the perfect ending. That balance of sweet and tangy, super refreshing, light but satisfying... honestly couldn't have finished the meal in a better way. Love this spot for a chill, quality family brunch. Always hits.

We chose a table and were attended to right away; we were even served water while we looked over the menu. We opted to split a "Chicken Club" ($16.95), adding an extra side of fries ($3.25). The sandwich was delicious--the chicken was tender and juicy, the bread was toasted to perfection, the bacon was crispy, and everything was very well-seasoned. The fries were also delicious, though I thought it was absurd to charge extra for them instead of the salad, which is the standard side dish. To drink, we had a simple Americano ($3.75) and a Mocha Latte ($8.95); the Mocha was delicious but, in my opinion, super expensive! We took home a Cannele ($3.95) and a Tiramisu ($8.50); both were very tasty--sweet, but not excessively so! For the uninitiated they are a Brazilian bonbon, created in the 1940s and named after Brigadier Eduardo Gomes (apparently a good looking single fellow with an legion of admiring female fans). You usually find brigadeiros at birthday parties in Brazil. Although they are typically chocolate, you can find them in a variety of flavors here. Ingredients include sweet condensed milk, flavoring (cocoa powder) and butter. The candy is hand rolled and can be stored at room temperature for up to three days. The brigadeiros here are tiny and depending on how many you buy, run around $2 apiece. Brigadeiro offers 15 flavors including churro, Nutella, dulce de leche, Romeo and Juliet (guava), pistachio, rainbow, white chocolate, and their top seller Oh My Gosh which received it's name from what customers said the first time they tried it.
