I had a photo in a book, which I wanted to scan with a high resolution scanner so that I can make it three times larger. Also, I wanted to do touch up to make the photo more appealing. I would say, Doorstep Digital did a fantastic job for me. The image after touch up looked much more beautiful and it was of very high quality. I asked about a 16-25mm lens for my Sony. Lo and behold they had it in stock. On top of that I actually had a coupon from a Sony event a couple days before and it came in handy! Gotta love those savings. This is the first time to go to any Mike's Camera and the experience did not disappoint. I'll have to return and spend a little more time running around. I still have a tripod, filters and a couple more accessories on my list. Whether you're looking for a professional camera or a point and shoot, this is the place to go. I gave…read moreMatt a little over a month to document my work, give me proofs, and then create prints for an upcoming show. At first he told me he could have proofs for me in a few days to come and look at, and then we could move on to doing prints. Then a week went by and I emailed him; I got no response, so I called him. He said he didn't have anything for me but again he would have them for me in a couple of days, and basically told me not to call him, and that he would call me or email me when he had some proofs for me to look at. Finally 10 days before my show I decided to show up unannounced and see if he had done any work at all. Guess what, he had not. He had simply not done any of the things at all that I had hired him to do and repeatedly lied to me to keep me off his back. I'm livid, and he seriously set me back with his lack of professionalism. I wanted to get my paintings out of there in case they magically disappeared, but I was thinking that if he had at least done the documentation (taken photos under controlled settings), then I would give him a chance to get the prints done. But he had simply done nothing at all and lied to me over and over again and left me high and dry 10 days before the biggest group show I've ever had with almost 1000 people in attendance. They have potentially the worst customer service I have experienced in Denver since I've lived here. They rent camera equipment. And have really really intricate processes for doing so. THAT, I do not mind. A process is a process. But when enforcing said process - a few baseline people skills on how to treat other humans might be of value. I'm guessing that an industry like this probably benefits from word of mouth support. If they treat customers the way we experienced today (and on the phone originally trying to set up the reservation) - I can only imagine they fail at getting this support. Wow, I still don't even know what to say after getting a reply to an email from the president of the company, Dean Schneider. I sent an email, inquiring about renting a film/video product and asked if he does not supply said product for rental if he could refer someone who does. The email reply, direct from Dean Schneider, President, was truly one of the most degrading, disrespectful, outlandish emails I've ever seen. I'm having a hard time even believing this person is the President of a company, much less an adult? Seriously scary. Steer clear, as FAR as possible from this business and this man- we'll probably hear about him on the news some day.
