Imagine finding the best Italian food in town is at the airport! It's like discovering the best fried chicken in town is at a gas station. We were visiting the area for the Monument marathon and had several recommendations to try Roma's for great Italian food. And they were spot on. The house wines are pretty good and reasonably priced. The bread rolls are warm, soft, and delicious. Ask for a side of olive oil for dipping. The side salad is nothing special. It looks like a typical bagged iceberg based lettuce salad. Small portion which is fine with me...it just keeps you busy while your main course is prepared. The pasta dishes are just right! Not too big which leaves room for dessert. Their sauce is delicious. We used the bread rolls for mopping. Of the desserts, the lemon blueberry mascarpone is probably their best dish. The walls are decorated with various nostalgic artwork of Italian themes and aviation. Service was pretty fast and the staff are very friendly. We landed in Scott's Bluff to refuel and grab a bite to eat. Normally we would take a crew car to town, but we saw Roma was right there and had a good reviews. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the owner and his wife. We ordered 3 pasta dishes - all delicious and appeared the warm bread and green salads that accompany the meal. What a treat! On a recent trip work trip to Scottsbluff for my husband, we decided to grab a bite to eat at Roma before heading home. SPACE: Roma is located at the Western Nebraska Regional Airport, making it a great food destination for those seeking a quick bite before hitting the skies. The dining area is decked out for the holidays with a small village set up near/on the fireplace and twinkle lights throughout. They can easily host groups of any size. SIPS: While none of us chose to imbibe during our visit, they do offer up a list of wine and beer for those looking to take the edge off before their flights. SUSTENANCE: After a quick moment to browse the menu, my husband and I both opted for the meatball sub, while my father-in-law had the calzone. The portions were great. A little larger than we were seeking for lunchtime, but better than being too small. We found our meatball subs to be a bit on the dry side. I was eyeing my father-in-law's side of marinara for his calzone greedily. The meatballs were also quite dense, in my opinion, and lacking flavor. My father-in-law's calzone was a predetermined filling and appeared huge when it arrived. Upon digging in, he found it to be half air from baking. SERVICE: The servers were friendly throughout our visit and kept our glasses full. We arrived just after they opened and found ourselves waiting a bit for our check though the restaurant was fairly quiet. While Roma checked the boxes, it really didn't knock my socks off. I'd stop back by if I found myself in Scottsbluff again, but I wouldn't make a special trip of it. read more

A couple people on our plane had eaten here before and recommended it as a stop. I've never been here before but am glad I agreed. Everyone ordered a variety of different Italian dishes. I went with a simple pepperoni pizza. But wow...how tasty it was! Everyone either cleared their plate or took the leftovers with them. Everyone's dishes looked tasty. Wonderful! A hidden gem. Stuck in Scotts Bluff Nebraska Airport for a few hours an had a wonderful meal. Noti, waiter and host was very friendly and helpful. Small Italian salad, not on the menu? No problem? Small bowl of pasta soup? Nitin the menu? No problem! Warm bread and olive oil. Not just olive oil, but also swimming with spices and goodness. Soup? We made a trip out to Scottsbluff to specifically try Roma's. I thought it was ok. We started off with stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, and fried beef ravioli. Mushrooms aren't my fave, but the sauce that came on them was really good. The bruschetta was a little bland and the basil was not as fresh. The beef fried ravioli was pretty typical of what you would find at any Italian restaurant. Hubby went with the Tour of Italy, which had lasagna, chicken parm, and fettucine alfredo. The lasagna was ok, not as meaty as I would like. The chicken parm was ok too, nothing spectacular. I didn't care for the fettucine alfredo. It was more oily than creamy. I had the chef special with chicken and sausage over pasta. It was really good. The sauce tasted similar to the sauce on the stuffed mushrooms. The sausage was pretty tasty, but the chicken was cubed up, looked almost like tofu. LOL. We also tried a few desserts. The tiramisu, cheesecake, and cannoli were all ok. Overall we had a nice lunch and the peeps there were nice, I just don't know if I would go out of my way to return. Cheers! read more

I flew in last year and had lunch here - it was great. It was a busy place for good reason. I've raved about it to people for the last year. Last night (2/22/25) I took my family for a late evening meal and was disappointed. The bread wasn't Italian bread anymore (dinner rolls), they were out of Peroni beer, the cheese shaker was empty, the olive oil jar was empty, the food was bland (carbonara) and the portion size for $17 was too small. For a $100 meal I expect.....better. It was quiet, though. Not sure if that was due to quality or time of day. read more

We called in our order of a Tour of Italy, so can't say how the service was. It came with two bread rolls and a very small salad. The bread rolls were very fresh, but we would have prefered garlic bread sticks or garlic bread with Italian food. The salad was just lettuce, nothing else. The Italian dressing that came with it was the most tasteless dressing we have ever had. It was thick too, not sure why. Horrible. The Chicken Parmesana and Lasagna were delicious, fresh and flavorfull. The fettuccine Alfredo was not great. The sauce was thin and rather tasteless, not sure if there is any actual cheese in the Alfredo sauce. The fettuccine was very limp, possibly overcooked? This is probably the only authentic Italian restaurant here in the region the people that own and operate the restaurant do a fantastic job and always treat people with respect and serve a great meal. Any of the food that I have ordered here at the restaurant has been great and it's convenient to order to go, they keep the restaurant very clean and orderly and do great for parties as well. We had dinner with friends at Roma's. Not many Italian options near here. We had a very good experience. Our server did a great job. She made helpful recommendations that were spot on. One of our party is gluten intolerant and she was able to have gluten free options. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and they were delicious. Best I've ever had. All of us were pleased with the quality and quantity of our meals. It is a casual dining spot. Not pretentious, but nice and comfortable. Food was very good and came out quickly considering we were a decent sized group! However our server was rude at first and after our food was handed out did not come to check on our table at all. We finished eating and still no waitress and has to go up to the counter to pay as we were all ready to leave. This place is wonderful. The food is fantastic! It's definitely the best italian food in this area. I'd say it's the best italian food between Omaha and Denver. I had the Linguine Pescatore, a delicious dish of shrimp, scallops, baby clams and mussels over linguine topped with a sherry red sauce. It was sumptuous. My wife had the pasta sampler with lasagna, manicotti, and cheese ravioli. It was also delightful. Overall, I was very impressed with the simple recipes, the portion sizes, plate presentation, food textures, and especially the flavor. Our service was great. We were greeted at the entryway and did not wait long to be seated. We were sat and offered bread and dipping oil right away. Our water glasses and beverages were never more than half empty. Our server never hovered, but never forgot about us either. We were offered dessert and got a cannoli and a slice of cheesecake. The only thing that could improve is the location. The airport restaurants that were in this location before Roma didn't last long, despite the fact that the restaurants here had good food as well. I would like to see this restaurant move out of the airport and into town. Even if they stay at the airport, it's definitely worth driving a few extra minutes. read more

Food was very delicious and filling. My 4 year old has gotten sick and threw up on the floor so we told our server and she told us not to worry about it and that they'd get it cleaned up. She told another waitress to clean it up, who, then, decided to curse and get upset that he did that. We notified the waitress that tendered our ticket and she kept apologizing to us. I told her I'd like to speak to a manager. She went to get her manager but the manager was busy so she took down our name and phone number and the manager will call us back. I thought I was trapped in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The worst dining experience I've ever had. Never again. Update. Gave it another try since my first experience was shortly after opening and I'm sure they were still getting everything in order. However that is no excuse for the absolutely terrible service. The service was much better and main course was decent. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent and the bread and infused olive oil was very good. The side salad needs to be better. I do not think a salad consisting of iceberg salad mix and a mushy tomato wedge is fitting for an Italian restaurant especially when you were expecting a Caesar salad. Our main concern was that due to covid19 all the servers were wearing gloves and it didn't appear they were changing them out. Had to pick up someone at the airport and arrived an hour early to have dinner since I haven't had a meal all day from watching over a love one in the hospital. As I stood at the wait for hostess sign for several minutes without one employee greeting me. Two employees at the register passing a cellphone back and fourth admiring something. Finally flagged down a waitress who was going to seat me until one of the cellphone Jockeys told her, " sorry we are not serving anyone else tonight because we are almost out of food"! Are you kidding me! As an employee there are several different ways to handle this better but most importantly as an owner get your act together! As I said fine I will drive back to town the other cellphone jockey who was a male said that would be great! Once again that person has no business being in front of house at a restaurant. Never have I wrote a review before but the situation was just awful! Stay in town and find a great restaurant with good food and service because this place is not it. read more
